“I was wondering if you guys would wanna go hang out after school?” Fan asked, stepping over the crack in the sidewalk for no reason.
”Of course, Fan! But where?” Test Tube replied.
”Maybe Rotary Park?!” Lightbulb recommended enthusiastically.
”ROTARY PARK IS SAFE AFTER DARK, NEIG-“
”FAN, PLEASE SHUT UP!!!”
”Lightbulb. You’re a party pooper.”
Test Tube face-palmed upon seeing their interaction, “Sure, Lightbulb. Rotary Park it is.”
They stood there for about a minute, waiting for the bus, But since when was this friend group quiet?
”Oh! Lightbulb, did you see the email from the school?” Fan asked.
”Fan, only someone as chronically online as you would see a school email from 5 minutes ago. I’ve told you this before.” Test Tube face-palmed yet again.
”Oh, so that’s what that ‘ding!’ was!” Lightbulb exclaimed.
“Anyways, it said we’re gonna have penpals from Massachusetts!”
”Really?!”
”Yup! I wonder who I’ll get…” Fan pondered.
”I just hope I don’t get someone I know,” Test Tube stated, slightly worried.
”Oh yeah, I forgot you used to live in Massachusetts! But don’t worry Testy-“
”Lightbulb that sounds really wron-“
”SHUT UP, FLAT-FACE!!!” Lightbulb turned her attention back to Test Tube, “Don’t worry. Even if you do, it might go well. Ya’ never know!”
”Right. Thanks, Lightbulb,” Test Tube smiled sincerely.

Pretty soon, school had ended. (vruh doesn’t know how to write time skips)
“Testy!” Fan exclaimed, upon seeing Test Tube when he left the school gates. Lightbulb was there too.
”Fan you’re such a hypocrite,” Lightbulb laughed.
”I know,” Fan innocently smiled as if he hadn’t just killed 1000 kids hypocrited. (what the fuck am i writing)
“Are we still going to Rotary Park?” Test Tube asked.
Fan’s smile grew mischievously at the mention of the suspiciously Tally Hall related song-sounding park.
”Fan I swear to-“
”ROTARY PA-“
“Shut up or I’ll make you.”
”Bet.”
”GUYS!!!” Lightbulb got both of there attention, “Stop with your silly romantic shenanigans! We need to go to Rotary Park!”
It drained a lot of energy out of Fan to resist singing the Tally Hall being beat up song.

”I hope my penpal will be cool,” Lightbulb yapped, sitting on the concrete bench of Rotary Park, “I’m really not in the mood for someone to judge me on a handwritten letter about… y’know…”
”Lightbulb,” Test Tube started, looking at the girl in front of her, “Just think positive. How would they even know anyway if you didn’t tell them?”
”True,” Lightbulb admitted, “Thanks Test Tube. Also where’s Fan?”
”Up here!” Fan shouted from above.
Test Tube and Lightbulb looked up to see Fan in a tree.
The three friends giggled all together.
Test Tube had to help Fan down from the tree since he was too scared to get down by himself.
They knew that, even if this penpal activity didn’t go as they wanted it,
Everything will be alright in the end.
