Chapter Text
“Am I interrupting?”
“You are. Get out.”
The words came out harsher than he had intended. The look in your eyes, the way your fingers curled into fists at your sides.. It made him want to take it back.
His fingers tightened around the woman’s waist, her curves foreign compared to yours; the only person he was truly familiar with. The sound of his chamber door slamming shut made the woman in front of him flinch, and Sukuna’s eyes narrowed.
He was blinded by a deep need to get you back for the feelings you invoked, the seething jealousy that had churned in his chest for millennia. This was the best replacement he could come up with, but nothing filled his hearts void like you did.
He pushed her back towards the bed, the young woman’s legs buckled, her lithe form tantalizing for sore eyes. She lay splayed out on his bed, the rise and fall of her chest uneven as she forced her body to still.
Her anxiousness was starting to grind on Sukuna’s nerves. Why couldn’t she just relax? Every time he looked into her eyes, he pictured you laying under him instead. But it was hard when he could practically smell the dread radiating off of her.
“Stop shaking.” He ordered, climbing on top and pinning her down. Though he couldn’t bring himself to touch the lady. It wasn’t you.. this one was scared. What a pitiful display of weakness from both parties.
Was he so desperate? He wasn’t a lovesick fool, he thought. He couldn’t accept the fact he craved your touch to the point he would imagine somebody else as you.
She wasn’t the same, every dip and swell didn't feel natural, leaving himself unable to indulge. The stranger's body was too stiff, her eyes tracking each movement with bated breath. Meanwhile you would’ve been teasing him.
Even after the deed was done, her body lay next to his own. It wasn’t right. Her warmth was a distant shell, null of any affection. It frustrated- no, he was infuriated. The ache in his chest kept festering until he felt his chest would rip apart.
There was no way to miss the King of Curse's rage, especially when you were lying next to him in bed. The woman’s breath hitched as Sukuna’s frame tensed, a low growl rising from his throat as he rose.
His sharp nails tore into the silken sheets, teeth clenched and form teetering on the edge of violence.
“How have I fallen so low?” Sukuna asked himself, burying his face in his hands and groaning. The woman next to him was insignificant, he didn’t care for her reaction to his weakness. He’d just kill her off.
Just as he opened his eyes again, he felt a frail hand land on his shoulder. Tensing, he turned to face the woman, her soft eyes unsure as they met his own. Sukuna quirked an eyebrow, lips curling back as he wrapped his own hand around her wrist in a bone crushing grip
”Who do you think you are? Don’t you dare touch me.” He growled, staring down at the vermin he had willingly slept with. It made him sick just looking at the weak.
”I’m sorry..- I thought-“ She stammered, quivering lips not allowing words to form coherently. That’s when Sukuna decided he had enough. He’d have to sort this out with you. he wasn’t sure he’d be able to handle another night with somebody that wasn’t you.
But, first. He’d have to deal with her.
From the hall, maids and servants alike could hear the bone-chilling shriek cut short from inside Sukuna’s chambers. Such a somber feeling, for this had become the norm for weeks.
A couple of the maids let out sighs, already making their ways to his room to clean up the inevitable mess inside. Just as they turned the corner, Sukuna stepped into the hall, his very presence demanding respect.
Bows weren’t curt nods, no, as Sukuna passed, everyone was expected to be on their knees. Though maybe he was too preoccupied in that mind of his, each step calculated as he walked to your room.
