Disventure Camp Season 2 Reimbursed

Chapter 4: Episode 4: Truth Hurts

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

“Last time on Disventure Camp, Rosa reached her limit in terms of staying quiet about Lake’s family situation while Connor and Riya grew closer. During the challenge, Rosa and Lake’s friendship fractured due to a massive fight while Aiden was a kiss magnet, and Yul… well, he was Yul. When Kai exploded at him, Yul used his alliance of Tess, Hunter, and now Ally to get rid of Kai much to the despair of Connor and Riya. Eleven contestants are left, who will be eliminated tonight?”

(After theme song)

We begin today’s episode with Tess sitting at the dining hall by herself as she held a pill in her hands with a wistful gaze before Hunter and Ally approached her with smiles.

“Mind if we take a seat?” Ally asked happily.

“Guess it’s too late to say otherwise.” Tess replied, somewhat amused before taking the pill and putting it in her mouth.

“She shoots…” Hunter said playfully.

“She scores.” Ally played along before both of them began cheering and laughing lightheartedly.

“You’re ridiculous.” Tess smirked in amusement.

Confessional: Tess

“I feel like I should be embarrassed by Hunter and Ally seeing me spiral yesterday or them making sure that I remember to take my meds… but I don’t.” Tess admitted fondly.

Confessional Ends

Soon enough, Yul approached the trio with a smirk on his face.

“Hello, my superb alliance.” Yul smirked smugly as Hunter, Tess, and Ally immediately felt awkward by his presence.

“Yul.” Tess crossed her arms sternly.

“Tess, good to see you’re doing better than yesterday. Hopefully, there will be less issues going forward.” Yul said haughtily.

“Here’s hoping.” Tess rolled her eyes in annoyance at Yul’s smugness.

Soon enough, Connor and Riya approached their team’s table with their trays in hand, making Yul smirk at them.

“Well, look what the cat dragged in.” Yul crossed his arms smugly, “I hope you two are ready for the next challenge. You both know what the consequence for losing will be, otherwise.”

“Real mature.” Connor replied stone-faced, “You’re honestly lucky that those three decided to even keep you in the first place after your remarks to Rosa and Maggy.”

Hunter, Tess, and Ally looked at each other in guilt at the mention of Yul’s past actions but Yul just scoffed.

“Perhaps I did go overboard by bringing Rosa’s kid into it, but at the end of the day, I am still here and Kai flopped. Just hope we go on a winning streak because I only see one of you making merge at this rate at BEST.” Yul argued smugly before walking off, manically laughing.

“Ugh, I need some air.” Riya growled furiously before walking off, while Connor looked concerned for her but he opted to sit with Hunter, Tess, and Ally.

“Y’know… you don’t have to keep Yul in the game any longer if we lose. Me and Riya will gladly vote for him with you guys.” Connor offered kindly.

“But that’d leave you and Riya in the minority if we ever lost again…” Hunter raised an eyebrow suspiciously.

“I’d rather take that risk than let Yul get away with his attitude, scot-free. In the best case scenario, all five of us would hopefully reach the merge but I’m willing to risk being eliminated after Yul if it means he goes.” Connor argued softly, “Besides… do you really trust Yul to stay loyal to you three long term with his attitude?”

Hunter, Tess, and Ally looked at each other skeptically before Tess sighed.

“We’ll think about it.” Tess replied stone-faced.

“That’s all I can really ask.” Connor smiled in understanding before walking off.

“Do you guys think Connor’s plan is a good idea? I really don’t like the idea of keeping Yul around.” Ally admitted sheepishly.

“As tempting as Connor’s offer is, he and Riya are too unreliable and Yul’s a better shield for the merge.” Hunter shook his head.

“How unfortunate.” Tess sighed miserably.

Soon enough, James entered the dining hall as well, staring at the messages that popped up on his phone.

You and Aiden are so cute together.

More pictures with him please.

I usually prefer yuri, but this is a nice couple. I’ll follow.

Speaking of yuri, does anyone think Tess and Ellie would be a good couple?

THEY DON’T EVEN KNOW EACH OTHER, IDIOT!!!

And with that useless reply chain going nowhere, James pocketed his phone to focus on his bigger priority which was Aiden currently grabbing his bowl of gruel and giving him the cold shoulder while Aiden himself turned to see Lake sitting by herself, clearly feeling dejected.

“So? When are we eating?” James asked Aiden, disrupting his thoughts.

“Once you apologize for putting us in a bad position.” Aiden narrowed his eyes.

“Oh don’t worry, I’m certainly sorry about that. Even if Karol was a nuisance, I shouldn’t have let my emotions cloud my judgement.” James reassured him, which Aiden was surprised by, but he regained his composure quickly.

“Well… it’s a start, I guess.” Aiden sighed, “Lake is currently sitting by herself right now, so I’m going to try talking to her. You can join if you want, it might give her incentive not to vote you off.”

“I thought you’d never ask.” James smirked before the two boys immediately walked to where Lake was sitting.

“Hi Aiden and James.” Lake smiled, clearly happy to see them before continuing, “Aiden, have you…”

“Read your book? I’m a few chapters in and loving it. Especially Lorelei and the budding relationship with her best friend, Gloria. The gay romance was unexpected but very welcome.” Aiden smiled enthusiastically as James raised an eyebrow in confusion.

“Book?” James asked curiously.

“Oh sorry, you don’t have context.” Lake giggled, “I dabble in writing. It’s a silly hobby of mine.”

“Well it can’t be that silly if Aiden here is so enthralled in the story.” James smirked playfully at Aiden and Lake to which both of them blushed in embarrassment and pride respectively.

“True, I’m glad you enjoyed it, Aiden.” Lake said happily.

“I feel bad for the main character though. Her relationship with her parents is frustrating but that’s how I know it’s well written.” Aiden admitted fondly to which Lake looked away tearfully which both Aiden and James noticed.

“Do you… wanna talk about what happened during the challenge?” Aiden asked in concern, “We noticed you weren’t sitting with Rosa and Maggy.”

“I… don’t. I just… no, not yet.” Lake replied, clearly downtrodden by the mention of Rosa.

“That’s alright by us.” James said reassuringly.

“Yeah, if you want, I can just continue giving you my feedback.” Aiden added kindly to which Lake smiled gratefully at.

“I’d really like that.” Lake said happily.

Confessional: Lake

“I’m thankful for Aiden’s presence and surprisingly James too. Rosa’s comments yesterday hurt, but I know they came from a good place. I just wish I knew how to repair what we broke.” Lake said miserably.

Confessional: Aiden

“I know I should be focusing on the game but Lake’s situation is very difficult to navigate. It would be easier to get Lake to flip if it weren’t for the fact that Rosa had every right to be worried about her! And… so am I.” Aiden confessed sadly.

Confessionals End

We then cut to Riya sitting alone on the dock with a miserable look before Connor approached.

“Mind if I sit here?” Connor asked kindly.

“You know the answer to that is always yes.” Riya smiled sadly.

“Bummed about last elimination?” Connor asked in concern as he sat down with the actress.

“Is it that obvious? No matter what I do, where I go, or who I am… I always end up being sidelined and alone.” Riya spoke as tears began prickling her eyes.

“But you’re not alone, I’m still here with you.” Connor smiled reassuringly.

“Yeah, but for how long. Even in the so-called BEST case scenario, you’ll be voted out before me if we lose.” Riya argued solemnly to which Connor frowned sympathetically, he couldn’t really argue against that after all.

Suddenly, Connor’s eyes perked up as he appeared to have an idea.

“Wait a minute, I was gonna give this to you yesterday but last elimination kinda made me forget.” Connor smiled enthusiastically before taking a pink perfume bottle out of his pocket and giving it to Riya.

“What is this?” Riya asked curiously.

“It’s the most popular product from my fragrance company. Sorry I never told you about that.” Connor smiled sheepishly, “It was meant to solely be a birthday gift at first once you told me about it, but now I’m also giving you this to remind you that even if I do get eliminated, you won’t be alone.”

“Thank you, Connor.” Riya smiled gratefully as the two softly embraced before both of them noticed a bottle with a scroll inside it floating in the water.

“What?” Riya asked in shock before reaching down to pick up the bottle, opening it to get the scroll, and unfurling it.

“Congratulations, you found the team swap advantage. This allows you to take one person from each team and place them on the opposite.” Riya read the contents of the paper as she and Connor gasped excitedly.

We then cut to Rosa Maria sitting on a rock formation, clearly disappointed in herself before Maggy approached her.

“You haven’t fixed things with Lake?” Maggy asked in concern.

“I don’t know how to… I know the way I expressed my frustrations was inexcusable, but I can’t exactly apologize for finding Lake’s family situation messed up, either.” Rosa explained miserably.

“So you’re hiding?” Maggy raised an eyebrow.

“Who says I’m hiding?” Rosa scoffed to which Maggy crossed her arms with a firm look, making Rosa sigh.

“Fine, I’m hiding.” Rosa admitted reluctantly.

“I know plenty about hiding, but a friend once told me to be confident in my decisions.” Maggy reminded her friend.

“Hard to stand by a decision that hurt a friend…” Rosa argued softly.

“But it’s nothing that can’t be fixed. When Sofia is old enough to watch this show, what lesson do you want her to take away from this? That she should hide from her problems, or confront them.” Maggy argued firmly.

“When did you become so smart?” Rosa asked proudly.

“When I met you. I’m just returning the favor.” Maggy smirked back to which Rosa smiled gratefully.

We then cut to the production tent where Oliver nervously held a folder to give to Kristal.

“Miss Kristal… I have your package.” Oliver said nervously.

“”Perfect. I was worried they wouldn’t arrive in time.” Kristal smirked gleefully.

“If I may… this challenge might be going too far.” Oliver admitted worriedly.

“Well I am paying you to give your opinion. How is this going too far in your eyes? Total Drama did a similar challenge and they did just fine.” Kristal asked curiously.

“I read the secrets myself and some of these getting exposed could do serious psychological damage to the campers.” Oliver explained.

“I doubt most of the campers themselves would even judge each other so harshly for some of these secrets… well maybe Yul would, but no one really likes him anyway.” Kristal argued.

“And the online fanbase?” Oliver raised an eyebrow.

“Pretty sure they’d just sympathize with the cast further and those who don’t… well, they’re likely to get cancelled immediately.” Kristal snickered at that last part, “Everything will be fine, just trust me.”

“Fine… if you insist.” Oliver sighed, knowing he wasn’t going to win this argument.

“Glad you see reason.” Kristal said happily.

We then cut to Kristal standing next to a monitor while both teams sat on opposite colored bleachers from each other.

“Orange Team, you’re getting your first look at the new Green Team. Kai voted out at the last elimination.” Kristal announced.

“Are you serious?!” Rosa asked in shock and anger, “How did Kai get voted off after what happened last challenge?!”

“The team chose the CORRECT side at elimination, of course.” Yul smirked haughtily to which Hunter, Tess, and Ally looked awkward at the confrontation playing out while Riya put a finger to her chin with a smirk.

Confessional: Maggy

“I was so focused on fixing things between Rosa and Lake that I didn’t even notice Kai got out.” Maggy said in shock, “So Yul got him out… I’ve never said this about anyone but I HATE him.”

Confessional Ends

“Welcome to today’s challenge. A humiliating and DISGUSTING challenge.” Kristal rubbed her hands together mischievously.

“That doesn’t sound fun…” Maggy gulped.

“It will be for me.” Kristal crossed her arms smugly.

“Oh Kristal.” Riya rose her hand smugly.

“Yes, Riya.” Kristal smirked knowingly.

“Before we begin, I have to give you this.” Riya said confidently as she handed the scroll to Kristal, “It’s a team swap advantage that allows me to swap two people to opposing teams.”

“You are correct in that. So who are you swapping?” Kristal asked curiously.

“I want Yul to go to the Orange Team and Rosa to go to the Green Team.” Riya smirked confidently.

“Are you serious?!” Yul asked incredulously.

“Not so powerful now, are you?” Connor asked smugly to which Yul glared daggers at the old man who smirked back.

“Bullshit! She can’t do this to me!” Yul said furiously.

“Oh, but she can.” Kristal replied back with equal smugness.

“Oh no…” Maggy gulped nervously.

“Rosa… I…” Lake stammered on her words before Rosa sighed.

“It’s fine, Lake. I hope to see you soon.” Rosa spoke hopefully.

“Rosa and Yul, it’s time to swap.” Kristal announced to which Yul pouted but stormed over to Orange Team while Rosa nervously walked to Green Team but she was slightly reassured by Riya and Connor’s warm smiles.

Confessional: Rosa Maria

“I should’ve spoken to Lake when I had the chance… but it’s okay, so long as we’re still competing together, the chance will come.” Rosa Maria reassured herself.

Confessional: James

“Yul may not be a social butterfly, but him swapping may just be my game’s treasure.” James smirked mischievously.

Confessional: Yul

“Alright, so this is a minor setback. I’m stuck with Lake and Maggy who are definitely voting me out… but it’s okay, I still have my alliance with James, and so long as Aiden complies, I should still be able to secure a majority.” Yul said angrily, “Connor and Riya better count their days.”

Confessionals End

“Now for today’s challenge, I’ll read humiliating and personal fun facts. Each one about a certain camper. Own up to it and your team gets a point but if you fail to do so, everyone on your team will need to eat a disgusting feast.” Kristal announced.

“Cooked by me and Nina.” Marcus added as he and Nina carried a bowl with disgusting mush while wearing chef hats.

“Bon appetit, losers.” Nina smirked.

“When you say you know humiliating things about us… how exactly?” Hunter asked nervously.

“Through your phone data and a private investigator if we needed it. Remember when the staff had to go through your devices to prevent another Jensen incident from occurring? We also used some of the data for this challenge.” Kristal explained.

“Is that even legal?” Ally raised an eyebrow.

“It’s in your contracts.” Kristal answered, “So yes.”

“Um, I’m not eating something that disgusting.” Yul scoffed.

“Refusal to eat means your team automatically loses.” Kristal smugly argued, “I’m sure your new team will love that.”

Yul just groaned.

“First team to five points wins. Orange Team, who auditioned for Season 1 and just barely missed the cut because they were considered the least interesting?” Kristal asked, to which Orange Team immediately stared at Aiden in a knowing manner.

“Why are you all so convinced it’s me?!” Aiden asked incredulously.

“You seem to be the most invested in this show. It’s pretty obvious.” James explained.

“Ugggggggh. I was going to own up to it anyway, but I’m still not happy about it.” Aiden grunted before pressing his buzzer.

“Orange Team scores a point.” Kristal announced as the monitor showed a picture of Aiden making an audition for Season 1 with an awkward smile and brown hair instead of his usual split-dye.

“Where’d you get that?!” Aiden asked incredulously.

“Phone data and private investigator, remember?” Kristal asked stone-faced before continuing, “Now Green Team, who’s been an extra in more than fifteen movies but didn’t receive a single credit?”

Riya grunted under her breath before ultimately pressing on her buzzer.

“AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!” Yul laughed maniacally.

“Oh please.” Riya rolled her eyes, “Any actor knows the struggle. It’s nothing to be embarrassed about.”

Soon enough, the monitor showed two romantic leads having a big moment while Riya was walking in the background.

“How’s it feel to not be good enough to get a speaking role?” Yul asked smugly while Riya looked away sadly.

“Riya’s not wrong.” Aiden crossed his arms sternly, “I also pursue theatre and I’m lucky if I even get a few lines when doing a play.”

“At least you have the excuse of mainly pursuing musical theatre. Riya’s clearly not cut out for an actual movie role.” Yul smirked mockingly to which Connor and Riya glared at him.

“Orange Team, who drunkenly kissed a man at a bar party?” Kristal asked smugly to which Maggy and Lake stared at James, Aiden, and Yul curiously to which Yul blushed furiously before pressing his buzzer.

“Is that your attempt to break me?” Yul asked furiously, “We were both DRUNK, therefore it meant NOTHING!”

The monitor then showed Yul and a muscular brown skinned model kissing on a bar stool.

Connor, Riya, and Rosa immediately began laughing at the photo to which Yul glared at them furiously.

“Oh shut up!” Yul commanded with crossed arms.

“After what you said last challenge, fat chance.” Rosa Maria replied smugly.

“Green Team, who made a painting in high school that was so dark, they got placed into an involuntary psychiatric hold?” Kristal asked curiously.

“Still one of my favorite pieces.” Tess spoke coldly as she pressed her buzzer before a pictures showed a younger Tess painting on a canvas, the painting itself wasn’t shown, but the children nearby were seen crying.

“Hey, that was really personal.” Hunter spoke defensively.

“Yes, and? Interrupt me again and you’ll be gorging on cockroaches!” Kristal warned sternly.

“Hunter, it’s fine. I could show you and Ally a picture later if you want.” Tess offered kindly.

“I’m in.” Ally replied happily.

“Sounds good.” Hunter gave a thumbs up.

“Show and tell’s over.” Kristal rolled her eyes, “Orange Team, who had their first kiss last challenge?”

Aiden blushed in embarrassment before pressing the buzzer much to James’ shock.

“Wait! A-Aiden, really? I was your first…” James began remorsefully before Aiden crossed his arms and looked away.

“Shut up! It doesn’t matter!” Aiden spoke sternly.

“Green Team, who shoplifted multiple times for groceries?” Kristal asked, to which Rosa looked horrified but she angrily pressed her buzzer.

“I’d do ANYTHING for my daughter.” Rosa crossed her arms firmly to which the monitor then showed security footage of Rosa stealing canned baby food.

“Each team is tied at three points.” Kristal said happily as everyone looked disgusted at what she just revealed.

“Okay, this is getting ridiculous.” Connor said furiously, “The other secrets were already pretty personal, but that’s below the belt.”

“She owned up to it, didn’t she?” Kristal argued, “Like I told Hunter, don’t interrupt me again or you’ll be eating that feast.”

“Connor, it’s okay. That was a few years ago anyway.” Rosa reassured the CEO.

“If you say so…” Connor sighed in disappointment.

“Next question for Orange, which one of you wears a wig?” Kristal asked to which everyone looked around each other before Lake pressed the buzzer, clearly embarrassed before the monitor showed Lake looking in the mirror, depressed at the sight of her bald head.

“AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!” Yul laughed maniacally, “Didn’t know we had a baldie among us.”

“Shut up Yul!” Maggy roared furiously.

“Lake, if you don’t mind me asking… what happened to your hair?” Aiden asked sympathetically.

“My hair was becoming patchy and uneven due to how much stress I was in to follow my parents guidelines. So they made me shave the rest of my hair so we could get a wig that makes my hair look suitable for a man.” Lake explained miserably as tears prickled her eyes. Everyone but Yul looked sympathetic towards Lake after that, even Yul had the decency to stop laughing but refused to show any emotion.

Confessional: Lake

“Admitting all of that out loud was hard… but now I’m starting to wonder… did Rosa have a point about my parents treating me like a doll…” Lake asked thoughtfully.

Confessional Ends

“Point for Orange Team.” Kristal announced, clearly unnerved by what Lake just revealed as well but kept her professional face on, “Green Team, who uploaded sexy photos of themselves on the internet for a charity stream and fame?”

“Ugh.” Ally grunted as she pressed the buzzer, “It was purely a charity stream, and second of all, it was cosplay and wasn’t inherently sexy but if you wanna slutshame me, go ahead.”

The monitor then showed Ally in her bedroom on a livestream wearing a bunny outfit as the chat replies seemed to have sexual undertones to them.

“Okay, that’s it. This can’t be worth a challenge win anymore.” Tess spoke coldly.

“Tess is right. If we all refuse to eat and answer then none of us can lose.” Aiden smirked smugly.

“Oh, you want to play that way. I have other ways of making you cooperate.” Kristal growled before going through pictures on the monitor and displaying them, “Aiden still sleeps with a teddy bear he’s had since he was a baby.”

“Huh?!” Aiden widened his eyes in shock.

“James' first five thousand followers were bots.”

James looked away in shame.

“Yul once tripped live onstage and got a concussion. He bribed the cameraman to erase the footage.”

“Huh?!” Yul also widened his eyes.

“Ally yelled at kids on a livestream for daring to use hacks.”

Ally looked embarrassed at first before narrowing her eyes furiously at the host.

“Rosa doesn’t know who Sofia’s father is.”

“Please! Stop!” Rosa begged, clearly distraught much to Connor and Riya’s concern but Kristal didn’t waver.

“Sorry, did I say you could talk?” Kristal scoffed before continuing, “Tess is an orphan.”

Tess rolled her eyes furiously.

“Riya got scammed out of a thousand dollars for a fake casting call.”

Riya growled ferociously.

“And Hunter got bullied so bad in middle school that he had to be homeschooled.” Kristal finished as Hunter looked away in embarrassment while Ally and Tess looked very sympathetic.

“So what?! I was bullied too! It’s nothing to be ashamed of! If airing our secrets makes you feel better about yourself than that says more about you!” Maggy shouted furiously at the host.

“Sounds like the girl who broke her crush’s arm while arm wrestling wants to be eliminated.” Kristal argued smugly as she showed a picture of Maggy looking horrified as she accidentally broke another man’s arm while arm wrestling.

“Huh… I…” Maggy stammered before Hunter interrupted.

“Maggy, it’s okay. Really.” Hunter assured the gentle giant before she sighed and moved back to her seat.

“Now is everyone convinced to compete?” Kristal asked with a sinister smirk and despite James, Aiden, Yul, Maggy, Tess, Ally, Riya, and Connor all glared at her, no one decided to speak up.

“That’s better.” Kristal spoke in triumph, “Orange Team, who’s only friend growing up was their sister?”

No one moved to press their buzzer for a while but Yul turned to glare at Maggy.

“Oh my god, Maggy! We all know it’s you, just do it! This is tame compared to the other shit she just revealed!” Yul lectured furiously.

“But… it’s not me though.” Maggy spoke in confusion, but no one bothered to speak up.

“No one?” Kristal replied smugly, “Alright then. Time to feast.”

Soon enough, five bowls of disgusting atrocities were given to the Orange Team before they all attempted to use their spoons to eat it, gagging all the while as Green Team cringed.

“For the win. Green Team, who earned more money and success by piggybacking off their parents than they ever did by themselves?” Kristal asked with a smirk as everyone looked curious to see who would own up until Connor furiously pressed his buzzer.

“I inherited my perfume company from my dad… I’m not proud about that, but I may as well admit it so that we don’t lose.” Connor sighed solemnly while Riya looked shocked.

“I don’t care, but your honesty indeed got your team the win.” Kristal announced, “Orange Team, you didn’t even need to eat. See you tonight at elimination.”

Confessional: Hunter

“I never even spoke to Maggy and I’m the reason Kai went home, but… she still came to my defense. Wish I was brave like her.” Hunter sighed miserably.

Confessional Ends

We then cut to after the challenge as Hunter sat on a rock near a cabin before noticing Maggy sitting on the cabin stairs herself and approaching her.

“Hey Maggy, can we talk?” Hunter asked nervously.

“What about?” Maggy asked in surprise.

“I… wanted to thank you for standing up to Kristal earlier. That part of my past is something I don’t like to think about. It’s kinda embarrassing.” Hunter explained solemnly.

“It’s nothing to be embarrassed about. I used to be, but not anymore.” Maggy reassured him.

“I know, but… here I was making friends and now I feel awkward about them knowing the truth about me.” Hunter explained sadly.

“They’re your friends. That means they would understand, you should let them be there for you.” Maggy advised him.

“Maybe… having friends is kinda new for me.” Hunter admitted.

“It’s new to me too.” Maggy smiled reassuringly.

“In that case, let’s be one more friend for each other… ugh, sorry was that weird?” Hunter said, a little embarrassed.

“That sounded perfect to me.” Maggy said happily to which Hunter smiled at before rubbing the back of his head nervously.

“Also… I’m pretty sure it’s obvious by now, but I was the one who helped orchestrate Kai’s blindside along with Ally and Tess. I’m really sorry about that…” Hunter said sadly.

“No worries. I highly doubt it was personal on your end. On the bright side, we shouldn’t have to worry about Yul for long since he no longer has anyone to fall back on.” Maggy said happily to which Hunter smiled at.

We then cut to James and Aiden waiting in the cabin as Aiden looked impatient.

“Why are we meeting here? The target should be pretty obvious after how Yul acted today.” Aiden crossed his arms bitterly.

“Aiden, I may as well be honest with you. I agreed to an inter-team alliance with Yul back in the fire making challenge and now that he’s on our team in Rosa’s place, it is now our best chance to diminish the threat of the Girls’ Alliance.” James answered firmly.

“But Lake‘s trusting us to vote for Yul tonight and I don’t want to break that trust… not after all the shit she’s been through.” Aiden protested in concern.

“Lake isn’t even our target anyway. Maggy is who we’re voting for. Don’t you want to win this game?” James reminded the e-boy who looked conflicted on what to do.

We then cut to the elimination ceremony as the Orange Team sat on their stumps.

“Welcome back, Orange Team. Miss me? Aw, me too. Get voting.” Kristal smirked smugly.

Voting: Maggy

“It’s finally time for you to get your comeuppance.” Maggy smirked confidently as she held up a vote for Yul.

Voting: Yul

“Hopefully James pulled through and got Aiden on our side, otherwise I am immensely screwed.” Yul narrowed his eyes as he held up a vote for Maggy.

Voting: Lake

“At least your swap has made this decision far easier than it would’ve been.” Lake shrugged as she held up a vote for Yul.

Voting: James

“Sorry Lake, but I know where I stand in your circle of friends.” James said stone-faced as he held up a vote for Maggy.

Voting: Aiden

Aiden looks immensely nervous before writing his vote down.

Voting Ends

“Time to read the votes.” Kristal announced, “First vote… Yul.”

Yul narrowed his eyes.

“Maggy.”

Maggy looked nervous at hearing her name.

“Yul.”

Yul leaned his face forward skeptically.

“Maggy. That’s two votes Maggy, two votes Yul, one vote left.” Kristal announced as Maggy looked even more nervous, Yul looked furious, James crossed his arms, and Lake looked confused.

“Wait… what?” Lake asked in shock.

“Fourth person voted out of Disventure Camp… Maggy.” Kristal finished.

“James? Aiden?” Lake asked, clearly heartbroken while Maggy looked disappointed.

“I’m sorry Lake, but we’ve been in the minority on this team ever since Karol’s elimination and… we didn’t want to take any chances.” Aiden sighed miserably.

“You really shouldn’t be surprised, like I’d ever lose to that circus freak!” Yul spoke indignantly.

“Stop talking to her like that.” Lake demanded as Aiden glared at Yul in disapproval making him scoff, but he did as told.

Soon enough, Lake ran up to Maggy and immediately embraced her.

“I’ll miss you, Maggy.” Lake smiled sadly.

“I’ll miss you too. Can you promise me one thing, Lake? Fix things with Rosa, you both obviously still care about each other.” Maggy requested happily.

“I will. I promise.” Lake assured her.

“Good.” Maggy affirmed before walking towards the bus stop. Once Maggy was gone, Lake looked down in misery while Aiden looked remorseful and Yul looked gleeful.

Confessional: Yul

“Well, it seems that no matter what team I’m on, I still remain in control. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!” Yul laughed maniacally.

Confessional: Lake

“Looks like I was on the wrong side of the vote.” Lake sighed miserably, “I’m probably Yul’s next target but I’m tired of letting others dictate my fate. I’m not going down without a fight.”

Confessional Ends

Remaining Voting Confessionals:

Voting: Aiden

“I hate to do this… I really do, but James has a point about the Girls’ Alliance being a looming threat. I’m sorry Lake and Maggy…” Aiden sighed miserably before writing Maggy’s name down.

Voting Ends

Commenter Readings: Maggy

We then cut to Maggy sitting on a bench near the motel as she smiled cheerfully at the camera.

“Hello everyone. It’s time for me to thank the commenters who watch this show.” Maggy said enthusiastically.

“Shiroyama38.”

“DC Guest, who seems really fond of Tom. I liked him too, I felt really awful when he revealed his scars but that just made me more sympathetic to him.”

“Rose thinks Hunter should elope with Tom… well that really depends on Hunter’s sexuality in all honesty…”

“Godjacob95 who is a massive Fiore fan. Hey, I’m not judging your taste in reality show villains after dealing with Yul.”

“Tides445 who commented on how long Tess and Ally kissed… yeah, I have no idea what’s going on between those two and Hunter.”

“HajimeTDFan… honestly, despite how cruel Kristal can be, I still prefer competing on this show than what the contestants on Total Drama had to go through.”

“TheUpstateDcFan who seems to be a fan of Hunter. Glad to see him getting a fanbase, he’s a great guy. You also found Yul’s remark towards Hunter about the Tess and Ally kiss funny… I suppose that was one of Yul’s more harmless moments.”

“Thank you all so much for commenting and we’ll see you soon.” Maggy waved at the camera.

Notes:

Another predictable elimination. I honestly really enjoyed writing for Maggy in this story, especially in this episode since this was my favorite episode for her in the Remake.

While I definitely believe that Maggy left at the correct time, the WAY she got eliminated was simply atrocious. Aiden throwing his vote makes enough sense but the tiebreaker was absolutely pitiful. I understand it makes narrative sense since Kristal is new to the hosting gig, but it just comes off as forced when you could just have Yul win a normal tiebreaker.

Either way, I decided to just nix the tiebreaker completely, and have Aiden vote alongside James and Yul for Maggy. Considering Aiden’s game-savviness and his current villain arc in Fans Vs Favorites, I do think it makes sense for him to pull something like this to benefit his game. However, it’s clear he is NOT happy about it considering how hurt Lake is.

14th Oliver

13th Karol

12th Kai

11th Maggy

Orange Team: Aiden, James, Lake, Yul

Green Team: Ally, Connor, Hunter, Riya, Rosa Maria, Tess

Notes:

Oliver was obviously going to be the first boot but I decided to give some extra strategy scenes to show that he wasn’t completely doomed from the start. At the end of the day, he’s still needed for Kristal’s storyline and everyone else was too valuable to the narrative to get rid of.
