“Hey. Sprout. I want to talk.” He says standing as still as possible
“..why. What do you want?” Sprout was obviously suspicious
“I..have a question..that I think you could answer?” Shrimpo could feel the sweat on his back.
“Sigh, fine. What do you want.”
Shrimpo paused “privately?”
Sprout rolled his eyes and they walked into the back kitchen “ok. What.”
Shrimpo took a breath..he waited trying to find the words “I think I’m a girl.”
Sprout paused, Shrimpo couldn’t tell what he was thinking. “I guess you can try on some of my old stuff. See if you like it?” Sprout said
“yeah..” Shrimpo tried on a slightly longer tank top..a skirt..he was trying really hard not to cry in front of Sprout. She’d look stupid.
“I like it a lot..” Shrimpo mumbled
“do..you want me to hep you tell everyone?” He placed his hand on her shoulder
“..yeah..that’d be nice.” Shrimpo hugged sprout. It felt so awkward..he’d never hugged someone before.
“Anyway.” Shrimpo fumbled away from Sprout and walked out the door.
She woke up..things felt brighter..she didn’t feel as angry..she started crying. Sprout popped his head into her room
“Hey? Do..you want me to? Like..now? Everyone’s eating breakfast..if you want to come with me?”
Shrimpo nodded and she walked out nervously. Sprout cleared his throat and everyone looked at him “so, Shrimpo..has made some discoveries…she’s a girl now!”
He does jazz hands. Shrimpo wants to sink into the floor. Nobody says anything.
“Good for her!” Poppy says and everyone goes back to eating.
Shrimpo looks around..she felt like that would’ve had more..reaction.. “is that it?”
She said looking at Sprout “yeah. Pretty much. Same thing happened to me when I came out..I was so scared.” He laughed
“oh. Ok.” Shrimpo began walking to her normal spot where she usually ate, poppy waved her over to her table..shitshitshitshit “do..you want me..to sit with you?” Shrimpo sputtered out
“yeah! Duh..”
Shrimpo sat down and ate her food quietly..did nobody care? “Did you sleep good last night?” Poppy said trying to get small talk going
“oh, not really
Poppy then starts passionately making out with shrimpo /silly
