Chapter Text
Neville Longbottom, isn't a big fan of Defence Against The Dark Arts. He, personally, disliked that subject for forever. But this year, he's not the only one who hates it.
Neville hadn't heard anything about Dumbledore's army lately, although the meeting was a week ago. He didn't want to annoy Harry, Ron, and Hermione though. Especially Hermione. Neville had always thought he liked her more than as a friend, but, he was confident that Hermione had started to have feelings for Ron, considering their fight after the Yule Ball. Neville, personally, doubts that someone will like him in the future.
He rushed his way to his first class, robe brushing against the polished floor. Today was just like every day. Nothing much changes, although he would like to get an update on Dumbledore's Army, he's actually interested in that, very really. Maybe with Dumbledore's Army, he could prove that he's not weak and is as brave as his parents, and, maybe that could stop his Gran chattering about how different he is from his parents.

Even though Defence Against The Dark Arts is the worst subject this year, which everyone seemed to agree with (maybe not the Slytherin, but almost all the students), at least there's still Herbology, but with O.W. Ls this year, Neville is worried about his grades for certain subjects; Charms, Potions, Defence Against The Dark Arts, and Transfiguration. Even tho he hopes he doesn't get good grades for Potions, he really doesn't want to attend it for another 2 years.
He sighed as he sat with the Mimbulus Mimbletonia in front of him. It was a present from his great Uncle Algie. For once, he finally received a present that he very much liked. He painted a smile when he glanced at Mimbulus Mimbletonia.
There were only Dean and Seamus in his dorm. Earlier, he saw Harry along with Ron and Hermione, probably planning something. He sure hoped it'd be something about Dumbledore's Army.

Neville wasn’t entirely sure how he’d ended up on the seventh floor again. He realised where he was when he bumped into Gogle and Crabbe.
"Watch where you're going, Longbottom," Goyle shouted.
He hadn’t meant to come here. His feet just kept carrying him past the same stretch of blank wall, his mind buzzing with frustration. He needed a safe place to practice, somewhere, anywhere. He tightened his grip on his wand.
He turned and paced back the way he’d come, then again, faster this time, his heart beating. The castle felt too full tonight, too many voices.
“I just need a place,” his thought was filled with the need for a place, just as if he couldn't think of anything more important than this in the world.
He paced in front of a blank wall three times. On the third pass, he felt something weird.
Neville stopped, a door had appeared where there had only been blank stone moments before. He carefully stepped inside, taking every step slowly.
"Merlin's beard!" he muttered. "T-this is perfect! I have to tell Hermione and the others!"

He makes his way to the Gryffindor common room, rushing as if there's someone chasing him. On his way, his eyes got distracted by someone, he recognised her bold red hair. He met one of the people he was hoping to meet. Ginny Weasley.
"Ginny!" He walked towards her. "Yes, you won't believe what I found! I thought, maybe you could tell Hermione and the others this, but," he inhaled. "I guess I found the perfect spot for us, Dumbledore's Army!"
Ginny painted a shocked face, "Wait? Really? You're not joking, are you?" She hesitated, saying it. "If you're really positive about it—" She lowered her voice, "Tell me, where is it?" Her voice changed in a split second, unlike her usual bold, confident and loud voice, she changed it to a whisper; very quiet, making sure no one else heard their conversation (There were no other Dumbledore Army's member except them in their surroundings.)

Neville, along with Ginny, is on his way to 'The Room'. He encountered Luna Lovegood along the way, her dirty-blonde hair sparkling, illuminated by sunlight. Skipping her way, which Neville guesses, she is on her way to Ravenclaw's tower. Her wand tucked tightly in her left ear, with mismatched socks, she looks quite similar to the last time he met her. Except that she doesn't have any The Quibbler magazine in sight, or that she's wearing a lot of hair clips in her hair. Still, he guesses that's just the way Luna Lovegood is. He doesn't want her another way around. He'd been quite good friends with Lovegood, actually (But he keeps forgetting that Luna Lovegood asks him to call her 'Luna', not 'Lovegood'.)
