Chapter Text

The day passed, Dignity slumped on his couch. His gut clenched. This doesn’t help his case. Seeing her face made memories rush through his head. He couldn’t focus during that meeting either. What was wrong with him? He was usually so calm, collective. . Now look at him.

It felt nice, at least, knowing that she was nearby. But It completely ruined the meeting. Dignity sighed, his face was red in complete embarrassment. That WHOLE time he was there, he stared at her like a lovesick puppy, someone who was lost. He could remember her details perfectly, those gentle eyes that met his own on accident, her still unique style, her smile. Little did he know that whole act made his band fumble.

Funnily enough, the record label kept noticing his off gaze, his eyes not focused at all on the conversation and looking elsewhere. Making the meeting end so suddenly, and leaving the band without a response back.

Dignity groaned. His bandmates are probably upset with him too, he couldn’t think of an excuse either. He couldn’t use ‘being tired’ — its makes him look ‘unprofessional’ and probably ‘unhealthy’ too.

Overtime, he would probably find himself visiting that restaurant more and more after each practice, just lingering by. He grew so attached, it wasn’t like him at all, but it would be worth it, just to see her again.

Minish spent her days alone as well, she left long ago to work on herself. She brushed her smooth dress out, staring at herself in the mirror of her restroom. A pure look of adoration on her face.

That day, that lucky day of finally seeing him again.

She caught his gaze in the restaurant, her gaze grew soft as she saw him once more. The same man she saw years ago. The same one who shared wonderful memories together. It was so nice to see him, before he was gone before her eyes. Dragged away by the scruff by some others with cases in their hands.

..He did mention to her years ago that he was in a band. No kidding, the same man, when they were younger, pasted posters of the bands he enjoyed all over the place, hell,  when she came over to his apartment, he had a whole shelf just full of albums he enjoyed, as well as photos or his own personal instrument. She thought on the memory more, when their eyes met, and when he was dragged away with what she assumed were his bandmates, her stomach turned.

She missed him, oh, she missed him lots.

And seeing him again stirred up a feeling she hasn’t felt in forever,

Longing.

She covered her face with her hands, sighing softly like it would comfort her. She was embarrassed. Completely embarrassed, with the fact she always had some sort of thing for him as they were younger. He was her inspiration for a lot of things, he helped her through it all, she was always just too shy to tell him anything.

And as time moved on, she always thought he’d forget about her, but when their gazes met, she knew.

She shook her head and turned, flicking off her restroom light and walking into her bedroom, collapsing onto her bed.

She knew she couldn’t do anything, starting a conversation with the way she’s thinking of would definitely embarrass the both of them. Minish thought of it as hopeless, both of them were busy, completely different than they were years ago. What are the chances that Dignity doesn’t like half the things he used to? Striking up conversation like that would also make it awkward.

She tiredly looked up from her arms, getting used to the distant light within her bedroom, before putting her hat on her nightstand.

She just hoped ideas came to her overtime, and that they’ll meet again once more.
