Zeus hated family gatherings. Ever since he’d given Athena a mask, so he wouldn’t have to look at her, many of his other children had started to wear masks as well. Only to formal parties where they could pass it of as part of their outfit. The final straw was that Hera had had Hephaestus make her an ornate peacock mask that she kept on her vanity on the same stand that she kept her crown. He knew she did it to piss him off but he couldn’t say anything about it. He knew her reasoning, if Athena wore a mask why shouldn’t everyone else.
