What if ambition wins?
What if justice breaks first?
What if truth is suppressed earlier?
What if Johnny fails to grow?
Here I am to answer all these questions! <3
ROUTE 1 — “THE WINNER’S WORLD” (DIEGO ROUTE)
Core Theme:
Survival of the strongest becomes reality
Major Changes:
CHAPTER 1
Same (Oyecomova)
CHAPTER 2
Diego manipulates Ringo into killing Wekapipo
Ringo becomes blackened instead
It establishes:
“Honor is exploitable”
CHAPTER 3
Diego secretly sabotages Mountain Tim
Frames Ferdinand
Ferdinand executed
Diego proves:
Intelligence can be weaponized
CHAPTER 4
Lucy tries exposing Diego early
Diego kills Lucy himself
CHAPTER 5
Valentine attempts control
Diego kills Valentine before system stabilizes
FINAL CHAPTER
Remaining:
Johnny
Gyro
Diego
FINAL TWIST:
Diego reveals:
“I’ve been playing to win since the start. You’ve been playing to survive.”
ENDING:
Diego wins the killing game.
Johnny survives only by losing the trial deliberately (optional bad ending).
THEMATIC RESULT:
Strength dominates morality
Systems reward ruthlessness
“Hope” is irrelevant
ROUTE 2 — “BROKEN JUSTICE” (GYRO ROUTE)
Core Theme:
Justice becomes the reason people die
Major Changes:
CHAPTER 2
Gyro pushes Wekapipo into duel logic
Wekapipo kills Ringo
Gyro indirectly causes it
CHAPTER 3
Gyro executes Ferdinand himself (pre-trial killing)
Claims:
“Some people deserve immediate judgment.”
CHAPTER 4
Group begins fearing Gyro
Lucy tries to expose him
Gyro kills Lucy to “preserve stability”
CHAPTER 5
Johnny confronts Gyro
FINAL TRIAL:
Gyro confesses:
“If no one enforces justice… everything collapses.”
ENDING:
Johnny must vote against Gyro
Gyro is executed
THEMATIC RESULT:
Justice without limits becomes tyranny
Moral certainty is dangerous
Johnny learns to reject blind trust
ROUTE 3 — “THE PERFECT SYSTEM” (VALENTINE ROUTE)
Core Theme:
Order replaces freedom completely
Major Changes:
CHAPTER 2–3
Valentine prevents chaotic killings
Introduces structured “rules of engagement”
CHAPTER 4
Lucy discovers truth early
Valentine executes her publicly (first “declared” kill)
CHAPTER 5
No class trial chaos
Valentine controls investigations
GROUP STATE:
They are no longer students
They are citizens under Valentine’s system
FINAL TWIST:
No one kills anymore
Because:
Valentine controls all outcomes
ENDING:
Johnny must choose:
accept system → survive in controlled world
reject system → initiate final collapse
THEMATIC RESULT:
Peace achieved through control is not freedom
Stability can be worse than chaos
“Hope” becomes manufactured
ROUTE 4 — “ERASE THE TRUTH” (HOT PANTS ROUTE)
Core Theme:
Reality is edited until nothing is real
Major Changes:
CHAPTER 2
Hot Pants begins removing “unstable” people early
CHAPTER 3
Blackmore killed before solving anything
CHAPTER 4
Lucy killed earlier
Records destroyed
INVESTIGATION PHASES:
Evidence becomes unreliable
altered crime scenes
false appearances
misleading identities
FINAL TWIST:
No one knows what actually happened
ENDING:
Johnny realizes:
“We weren’t solving murders… we were solving illusions.”
THEMATIC RESULT:
Truth becomes inaccessible
Perception replaces reality
Identity is unstable
ROUTE 5 — “THE EXPERIMENT” (FERDINAND ROUTE)
Core Theme:
The killing game is treated as research
Major Changes:
CHAPTER 2–3
Ferdinand orchestrates controlled deaths
Tests:
fear response
cooperation breakdown
decision timing
CHAPTER 4
Multiple near-kills
People realize they are being studied
CHAPTER 5
Ferdinand reveals:
“This is the most valuable dataset in human history.”
FINAL TRIAL:
Johnny must prove:
intent
manipulation
indirect murder
ENDING:
Ferdinand executed
But damage is irreversible
THEMATIC RESULT:
Knowledge without ethics destroys humanity
Observation changes behaviour
People become data
ROUTE 6 — “STILLNESS” (JOHNNY FAIL ROUTE)
Core Theme:
Refusing to act is also a choice
Key Change:
Johnny never develops
CONSEQUENCES:
Doesn’t trust Gyro entirely
Doesn’t challenge Diego
Doesn’t act during key moments
RESULT:
Murders escalate faster
Valentine or Diego wins easily
FINAL LINE:
“I never moved on… and everything else did.”
THEMATIC RESULT:
Inaction is failure
Growth is necessary for survival
Passivity enables tragedy
BONUS: CHAOS ROUTE (MULTIPLE KILLERS)
Concept:
Several characters kill independently
Hot Pants kills Lucy
Diego kills someone else
Ferdinand manipulates both
Trial becomes unsolvable
RESULT:
Wrong verdict → everyone dies
-
Each route represents a different “answer” to the killing game:
Diego → Win
Gyro → Judge
Valentine → Control
Hot Pants → Rewrite
Ferdinand → Study
Johnny → Change
