Chapter Text
In the distance, a faint silhouette of a large wall-like mountain appeared.
“That's our destination.” Rin pointed towards the island with a bustling city on-top; the town of beginning and end.
“... Isn't that Loguetown?” Rai questioned.
“Isn't that- uh- the place luffy went- and uh Roger died, and smoker-” Heizeru stuttered out.
Rin cheered monotonously, leaning on the end of the ship. “Yay… Canon…”
“We can use this to make sure where we are in the timeline,” Rai said, pulling Rin back up into her slouching position. “If Luffy’s there, we're on track with canon. If he's not there, but has defeated Arlong, we should stay.”
Heizeru interrupted Rai’s reasoning, “Why should we stay, though? We can go earlier.” She questioned.
“So we can destroy Loguetown without worrying about Smoker, of course.” Rin said nonchalantly, as if she hadn’t spoken about destroying a goddamn town. “It’s so we can become more famous and spread our name out.”
“What.” Heizeru’s face resembles the surprised pikachu face. “How come I haven’t heard about this?!”
Rai turns toward Heizeru, judging her. “We literally told you 5 minutes ago.”
“Oh right…” Heizeru quietly said.
“We’re mostly going there to destroy it, but we have to stock up first. Don’t cause any trouble, because we don’t want Smoker to come running.” Rai voiced.
Rin nodded slowly, before seemingly pondering something. “Where are we gonna get the money?”
“We’re pirates,” Heizeru remarked dryly. “Can’t we just steal?”
“Did you not hear anything we just said? What are you, half-deaf?” Rin snarks. “We’re supposed to not cause trouble.”
Rai nodded solemnly. “She is, indeed, deaf.”
“HEY! I’m right here, y’know?” Heizeru protested. “Besides, what’re we gonna do now?”
“You are there, which is why I'm saying it.” Rin murmured. “We have no way of earning money currently.”
“Well, actually…” Rai gestures to a green shulker box that had been sitting on the deck for who knows how long. “I think this has diamonds and gold.”
She throws open the box, revealing a shiny interior with stacks of valuables. “...” Heizeru stares at the shulker box, gaping. “Doesn't this make us, like, rich?”
Rin nods slowly. “Yeah… just make sure something like Ussop on Water Seven doesn't happen.”
“Oof.” Rai winces. “That's… I can imagine that.”
Rin carefully slides the top shut, sliding the shulker box away. “First thing when we arrive, get this all evaluated and sold.”

Rin and Heizeru both watch the storekeeper and Rai bargain, both of them leaking out a scary presence.
The crafty shopkeeper rubs his hands greedily, inspecting the gems. “Why, they seem to be of low-quality… but I had a good drink, so how about 2 000 000B(2 million*author note, berry to $ is around yen to $)?”
“Nah… look here,” Rai picks up one of the diamonds, showing off the shine. “This here is 100% pure. Look at the shine.”
The shopkeeper sweats nervously, taking a magnifying glass and leaning in. “A-are you sure..? There’s never been a pure diamond… this must be fake!” He laughs to himself. “Yes, yes, completely fake!”
“Might be… but will you take the risk?” She gestures to a nearby shop, its owner clearly eavesdropping on their conversation. “I can just sell ‘em to that guy. They seem like they’d pay more.”
The shopkeeper blubbers pathetically, waving his arms around. (HIS STUBBy aRmS) “Now, now, you mustn't do that!” He points an accusatory finger at the other owner. “I heard he cheated on his wife 12 times! With 12 different people! Would you sell to a guy like that!?”
“... Yeah.” (lmao)
Rin and Heizeru stand to the side, leaning on the side of the store. Rin is exuding a menacing aura, stopping other clients and customers from entering.
After a couple of minutes, Rai exits victoriously, carrying 20 briefcases that had 100 000 000B in each (100mil, if you’re illiterate)(BTW B ISNT BILL). (Somehow.)
Rin gets up from her and Heizeru’s picnic blanket that they seemingly manifested, (short attention spans…) “Bro, are you good?” She gestures to the 10 briefcases on each of Rai’s arms, laughing a little.
“I would be better if some people,” She eyes Rin and Heizeru. “Would help me.”
“Fine, fine,’ Rin grabs fifteen of the suitcases, trying to hand off five to Heizeru. “Carry this, you lazy bum.”
Heizeru shakes her head, clearly not wanting to carry five fucking briefcases. “You can’t convince me.”
Rai looks at Heizeru threateningly, while nudging Rin to give her the briefcases. “I’m the cook. Are you not hungry?” She mockingly said the last sentence in a terrible British accent.
Quickly, Heizeru nods her head and accepts the five briefcases. “Let’s eat ramen for lunch!”
“No.”
“WHHYYYYY”
~~~~~
The RHR group moves down the street, carrying briefcases. Rin has ten; five on each arm. “Remind me why I have to carry more?”
Glancing back, Rai gestured at their heights. “You’re literally the tallest and the oldest. By a year.”
“... Fair.”
Rai nodded, seemingly satisfied. “Let's split up. I'll go with Heizeru, to keep her in check, and you can get the food. We'll meet up at the Gold Roger bar later to shop for battle clothes after.”
“‘Kay.” Rin turned around and headed for the food district, waving a hand at Rai.
Rai waves back at Rin, before glaring at Heizeru. “C’mon.” Dragging Heizeru, Rai headed towards the weaponry district.
~~~~~
Deep in the food district, Rin orders a gigantic piece of meat and at least five baskets worth of veggies and fruits.
Glancing around, Rin attempts to find rice, realizing that they might not have it.
Wait… She suddenly pauses in her stride, causing people to fall over. How should I carry all this?
Rin’s arms are absolutely stuffed now, full of produce. She is snapped out of her musing when a woman manning a stall calls her over.
“Hey!” She shouts from across the district. “Come over here, young woman!”
Hmm? Rin glances around, searching for who the voice is calling for. Is she shouting… at me? Shaking her head quickly, Rin decides it must not be her.
Eye twitching, the stall owner yells at Rin, absolutely furious. “I'M TALKING TO YOU, WEIRDLY TALL BLACK HAIRED GIRL!”
Flinching, Rin wades slowly through the crowd, making her way to the old woman. “Hey…” Waving her hand awkwardly, Rin gazes at the woman’s produce.
Dozens of bags of rice filled the stall, almost spilling out of the stall. Rin glances over to the rice, “Is that rice?”
Nodding, the woman points at a sign that says ‘North Blue Specialty!’ “Yes. I come from the north blue, where rice is produced. Honestly, I’m surprised you know it!” She laughs heartily, smacking the rice.
Backing away slightly, Rin hesitantly pops a question. “So, why’d you want me?”
“‘Course, to give you this!” The woman shoves an empty bag into Rin's hands, clearly meant for produce.
While Rin is placing all of the produce in the bag,the shopkeeper starts rummaging through the rice, before pulling up a deck of cards.
“What’s that?” Rin inquires, curious. “Dunno.” The woman answers, shrugging her arms. “Wanna have it? It just appeared in my rice.”
“I guess…” We need some games, anyway. Accepting the pack of cards wearily, Rin makes her way to the bar.
~~~~~
Rai, dragging Heizeru through the weaponry district, wave stop the inhabitants of Loguetown, before they arrive at a quaint weapons store.
The bell jingles as they enter, the storekeeper surprised at their entry (I mean, who wouldn't be?), lifting his head up from inspecting a peculiar sword.
“Welcome to my establishment, young ladies.” He stands up and begins pointing at several sections in the shop, first multiple bins of rusty cracked swords. “Those are my cheaper options, but we have higher quality swords too, such as some named swords.” The old man then gestures to a cleaner section of the store, with several katanas on display.
“Now, what would you like-”
Immediately, Rai snatched the katana the storekeeper was inspecting, a nodachi.
“What's this?” Rai questioned. Unbeknownst to her, the katana began radiating a deadly aura. Behind Rai, Heizeru began to shop the aisles, heading to the dagger section.
Stumbling over himself, the storekeeper began attempting to grab it out of her hands without touching the mentioned sword. “Uh- uhm- little lady, please give me th-the sword back…”
“Why?” Lifting up her briefcases hanging on her arm, Rai tried to gesture at them. “I have the money, if that's what you're worried about.”
“N-nooo… but-” The storekeeper desperately tried to pry it out of her hands, even hanging off of Rai’s arms.
Shaking her arm to get the storekeeper off, Rai puts the briefcases on the ground, taking the sword out of its sheath.
Immediately, the storekeeper backed away frantically, retreating behind the counter.
Rai swung the sword in a clean arc, accidentally slicing apart the counter.
The storekeeper, surprised, fell onto his behind, putting his hands on the floor for support. “YOU! WHAT DID YOU DO!?”
~
Not minding the noise behind her, Heizeru picks out two daggers, adorned with card suits. Turning around, she is met with a very amusing situation.
Rai has a katana out, pointing towards the storekeeper who is laying on the floor, shock written on his face. Strangely enough, the counter appears to be sliced in two just like tofu.
“What… the fuck..?”
