Chapter Text
The kingdom was bustling like crazy, the streets was full with citizens and children running around like birds, maybe it was because of the floral festival
A festival where flowers were scattered across the kingdom like confetti, citizens were decorating their houses with colorful flowers, the streets was full of scattered flower petals
and there was a floral theme labubu's
(i had too)
This festival was to pay respects to the first ruler of the kingdom, that is a woman.
She holds the tittle of the flower queen, she fought with elegance and persistence.
And There was a legend that she turn a deserted area with no trees into a beautiful rain forest
she literally showed the world that women are people, and they should be respected like one.
This jolly festival isn't going to be that bad right?
Well

"So what do we need again?"
Jumperwho asked, as she walked through the bustling streets with flowers hitting her face from different directions.
Squiddo looked over the list that the lady gave her, and well it was long
"Well some cabbages, carrots, chicken–"
The two went to a halt at the market entrance, just speechless.
Because the usual stall of fresh vegetables and fruits was replaced by flowers.
The usual merchants were just selling fake flowers and EVEN Lomedy the farmer who promised to only sell potatoes was selling torchflowers!? Liar
There were Daisy stalls, Lavender stalls, Sunflowers and Foxgloves?
"Wait, Aren't they poisonous?"
Jumperwho said while looking at Squiddo
"I don’t know, lets just finish this list before the kids gets hangry"
The duo looked around the market but no sight of any vegetables or healthy food in general
Minutes past and still no food
"We just spent almost an hour and still no sign"
Jumperwho said as the walked past the same stalls FOR the third time
"We have no choice you know?"
"The supplies back at the orphanage won't feed everyone. And the last time, the children went crazy after not getting a full meal"
Squiddo said as she looked at the list like it could magically finish.
Jumperwho just nods, as she continues to look around the market for any vegetables or fruits.
For a minute its look like there's no hope of finding anything but seems like the gods had heard their please. They spotted a stall that sells actual healthy food
"Auooahhh"
"What are you doing?"
"We found the lost princess hybrid"
(Gacha reference)
Squiddo said as she quickly took everything, almost finishing the whole stock
"I will take that– and that, and maybe this"
"Good choice, that will be 100 gold coins"
Squiddo froze, What? Why is it so expensive!?
Of course She pays the seller the coins, taking half of her budget that also needed to buy toys and her dream coloring set
The duo eventually found their way out of the market.
"Thats everything on the list, So what now?"
"We are going to make a replica of the truman show"
Jumperwho said proudly
"Who"
"I know just a guy"
And then randomly started to watch a friend of Jumperwho, from a far while taking little notes like. To other people, the two looks like they have gone mad.
"This guy is a man"
Squiddo said as she writes it on her little notebook
"Thats not helpful you know?"
"This guy likes queer baiting"
"What?"
"Watch this–"
Squiddo said as she picked up an rotten apple and throw it at the guy, hitting him on the back of the head
The guy looked back to see nothing but a suspicious bush, was he being stalked
again?

"You sure you know where we going parrot?"
Wifies asked as he followed parrot through the woods.
It wasn't hard to locate parrot since his wings are too "noticeable"
"I know where i am going, just a few more kilometers"
"Its been three nights parrot, we started traveling on Monday and now its Wednesday"
"No? Its Thursday bro–"
Before Parrot could finish his sentence, he accidentally slipped on slippery grass?
"WIFIES–"
somehow his instincts kicked in and he admittedly grab on to wifies sleeve, sending him and wifies stumbling down the slope
Branches snapped around them.
Leaves flew everywhere.
Wifies tried to hold on a branch but since parrot is the biggest bird, the branch snaps, sending the duo to continue down the hill
The hill seemed endless.
Every time they almost stopped, one of them would accidentally kick the other and start the whole disaster over again.
Parrot’s wings flapped wildly in complete uselessness.
Wifies smacked directly into a bushes and sometimes parrot wings smacked him on the face.
Then—
THUD.
Silence.
For a long moment, neither of them moved.
A single leaf drifted down dramatically onto Wifies’ face, Making him sneeze.
"Well at least, me made it down faster"
Parrot said as he stood up and brushed all the mud and leaves that was tangled in his clothes.
Wifies just laid there on the ground his face flat on the ground and his back hurts so bad. Until his ears perked up
That was a sign when Wifies noticed something.
“…Wait.”
Parrot blinked.
“What?”
Wifies sat up slowly, brushing dirt off himself.
“We’re not in the forest anymore, we must be near.”
Parrot looked around.
He was right.
"Okay how did you sense the area with your ears bro"
"Its called being the smartest player–"
"Okay bro okay"
Parrot said as he took out his spyglass, looking around.
The steep hill had apparently thrown them out near the edge of a clearing. Tall trees still surrounded the area, but ahead—
There was smoke.
Not dangerous smoke that was caused by spoke.
The peaceful kind.
Like something from a chimneys.
And faintly in the distance—
Voices.
Something that wasn’t parrot singing laufey songs, but sounds of other people talking.
"We made it"
"Wheres the kingdom, i only sees trees"
"Okay maybe not yet"
Parrot continued walking through the forest with wifies following behind.
Following the sounds they found a trail.
"If we follow this trail maybe it leads to the kingdom"
"I see"
The duo followed the trail closely, looks like the one who made the trail was drunk since it it looks so wobbly and unnecessary paths.
"Did you know birds have hollow bones?"
"I know, so where are we going?"
Parrot adjusted one of his feathers awkwardly before continuing.
“A friend told me about it a while ago. He said that this kingdom have good security and richness.”
"So you are planning to steal?"
"Maybe"
The duo continues walking through the forest and finally the kingdom walls came into view.
It was bigger than they thought, it was tall enough that normal bird hybrids can't fly over.
Parrot was trill to see, because he was planning on finding a home after being hunted by a group of hunters, and finding a kingdom with seems like good security, will give him a chance to continue his studies.
The closer they got, the bigger the kingdom looked.
Massive stone walls towered above them, banners fluttering proudly in the wind while guards patrolled across the top with sharp eyes and even sharper spears and swords.
Parrot tilted his head up.
“…Okay that’s actually huge.”
"This is actually sick"
As soon as they started walking, a pile of flowers was thrown at both of their faces
"What the–"
Parrot looked around, trying to know who or where the culprit is
"Agh i think i got some in my mouth"
Wifies said as he gagged
After that, The duo looked around the kingdom and getting push around by the huge crowd.
Seems like the kingdom was holding up a festival about flowers?
The streets were alive with movement. Merchants shouted from colorful stalls, children ran through the roads laughing, and the smell of baked bread drifted through the air.
Parrot’s eyes practically sparkled.
“…This place is amazing.”
Wifies glanced around too, though less dramatically.
“It’s loud.”
“Dude, That’s the amazing part.”
“No it’s not.”
Parrot ignored him completely, already wandering toward a nearby stall selling shiny trinkets.
“Oooo.”
Wifies grabbed the back of his cloak before he could disappear.
“We need a place to stay first.”
“…Right.”
As they continued through the kingdom, Parrot noticed something strange.
Security really was tight.
Guards stood at nearly every major corner. Patrols moved constantly.
People whispered nervously whenever soldiers passed.
Something definitely happened here recently.
“…Feels tense, you sure we are in the right kingdom?”
Wifies muttered.
Parrot nodded faintly.
A nearby group of citizens whispered loudly enough for them to overhear.
“Still no sign of him?”
“They say the prince hasn’t slept.”
“The missing bodyguard?”
“I heard he vanished into thin air!”
Parrot blinked.
“…Dramatic.”
“Kingdom drama, Every rich place has one.”
Wifies shrugged.
Parrot hummed thoughtfully but didn’t pry further.
Not his business.
Probably.
But in his head, he already made theories himself.
After a while of searching, they managed to find a safe quiet place with two beds. Perfect for them, and it was near the library
The two went to the landlord and bought the place for 3000 gold coins?!
This felt like a scam for a simple two beds room but at least they found a good place to start
Parrot slowly set his bag down, staring around the room quietly.
After days of traveling…
After hiding…
After constantly running—
For the first time in a while—
They had somewhere safe.
Wifies immediately collapsed face-first onto the bed.
“…I’m never walking again.”
Parrot walked toward the small window, looking out over the kingdom rooftops glowing orange in the evening light.
A small smile slowly appeared on his face.
“…We made it.”
Wifies groaned into the pillow.
“Yeah– inspirational speech later.”
Parrot ignored him.
He looked out the window, pulling out a spyglass to look around the area.
the kingdom buzzed peacefully under the setting sun—
Completely unaware that two smartest people had just moved in.
(*≧∀≦)人(≧∀≦*)♪
The festival finally died down only leaving a flowers scattered across the kingdom.
Citizens were going back to their homes, the usual busy streets felt peaceful and less crowded.
Usually at this time, citizens would take their time to go cycling around the streets, but
Citizens began saying that usually when the sun sets, those evil spirits and shady people come outside from their hiding spots, so rarely anyone stayed on the streets
–
Squiddo just finish cleaning up the mess the children made around the orphanage.
Picking up all of the broken toys and putting them into a box
The cars wheels fell off
The dolls face where scribbled and some of them were bald
Even scarier a plushie was left only the cotton
"Its been a while since we received donations"
She muttered to herself as she looked at the box full of broken toys.
Usually the orphanage get toys from donations of rich nobles or citizens, and each year they receive 10 to 50 toys for the children, Now they haven't been getting any for months
But they found solution, which is repairing them and styling them all over again.
Squiddo picked up the box of the broken toys and started heading to the staff only room
The building had grown quieter now.
Most of the children were asleep already after exhausting themselves from playing too much or during the festival.
The few still awake whispered among themselves in their rooms, their laughter softer now— sleepy instead of energetic.
The wooden floor creaked beneath Squiddo’s steps.
She glanced down at the box again.
Honestly?
The toys looked horrifying.
Why did a doll have three legs?
Squiddo opens the door to Branzy’s room since he's the one who usually repair the toys.
But when she looked inside, it was empty?
Squiddo blinked.
“…Branzy?”
No response, of course it was.
The room was quiet.
Too quiet.
The candle near the bedside had already burned low, its dim light flickering softly against the walls. The chicken plushie sat on his desk menacingly, looking at Squiddo back with those red glowing eyes
"Why did he keep it.."
Branzy’s cloak was still hanging near the chair, neatly folded like always.
But he wasn’t there.
Squiddo frowned slightly, stepping inside while balancing the box against her hip.
“That’s weird…”
Usually at this hour, Branzy would either be repairing toys or pretending he wasn’t thinking about his poor life decisions.
There’d be needles scattered everywhere, threads tangled around his fingers, and at least one child secretly sitting beside him asking a million questions.
But tonight?
Nothing.
She set the box down carefully on the table. The silence made the room feel oddly cold.
Squiddo glanced around again.
Then paused.
The window was open.
Not fully—
Just slightly.
Enough for the curtains to move gently with the evening breeze.
“…Okay that’s mildly suspicious.”
Branzy hated leaving windows open at night.
Said it made it easier for “unwanted problems” to get inside.
Which sounded dramatic until you remembered he used to work at the royal castle.
Squiddo squinted her eyes at the window trying to imagine what happened.
Maybe someone kidnapped him– wait no
He definitely ran away with Clownpierce– yeah
Then—
A faint sound echoed somewhere deeper in the building.
Thunk.
Squiddo froze.
Another sound followed.
Clink.
“…Hello?”
Silence.
Squiddo narrowed her eyes.
“…If there's a vengeful spirit, please leave theres no william afton here.”
Nothing answered.
Very comforting.
She slowly stepped back into the hallway, the wooden floor creaking beneath her feet.
The orphanage always sounded different at this time of the day.
During the day it felt warm and chaotic.
Now?
Every creak sounded like someone hiding.
Squiddo carefully walked toward the source of the noise.
Clink.
Definitely coming from downstairs.
She frowned.
“…Please don’t be a burglar.”
The orphanage barely had money.
Robbing it felt almost disrespectful.
Squiddo reached the staircase and slowly peeked downward.
Darkness.
"hello?"
Squiddo called out
Nothing responded at first but then a knock
Nope nope NOPE–
She's not dealing with evil spirits today.
She doesn't want to be in a chiefxd video nope.
She ran back to Branzy room, but now she notice a note left on the table, near the evil chicken plushie.
She slowly picked the note for suspense.
The note read:
To anyone reading this, I'm going outside to get some supplies. I will be back in a few minutes
– Branzycraft

Fun fact
