Chapter Text
I’m sitting criss cross on the floor again
Poems float out of my heart to the page
The pen moves on its own, writing words I could never say
Pink turns black as the words flip to me
Yours eyes flash before mine as tears hit the page
Flowers bloom from salt, from splatters of grief
Petals that preach all of what you have said to me
Scared I hate your guts
Why would I
Why not
When I sleep you show me sheets of paper about how you love me
Hug me tight
Kiss me sweet
Buy a new notebook
Think of rhymes when you look at me, mirrors inside of leather reflect your breath
When I stir your face turns
I try and hold on
Water ripple around my hand
Currents flow through my fingers
Rivers curve how they like
I see flowers everywhere
On my bed and in your hair
Flowers that sting
Flowers that jeer, follow me everywhere
