Akutagawa was almost there, hands in the pockets of his coat.
He pulled out his phone and saw the time 11:56, he came a bit earlier than intended. He opened the phone to text atsushi "I'm near the park." Not even a minute later he got a message "I will come pick you up from where you are and then we can go to the park!" Akutagawa texted atsushi immediately "no need." But he already saw atsushi walking quickly towards him.
Atsushi was smiling as he walked towards akutagawa, the most beautiful smile akutagawa ever seen. He immediately felt anxious about what he was about to do.
He decided he will confess at the end of their meet up. It was easier to run away that way, which he will not do of course. (... He will see)
After two hours of walking around, akutagawa brought a cake for the both of them at a cafe, he felt like he should. Atsushi brought him a drink in return. They bickered about not wanting to be in depth to each other, but they both knew it was just a way to talk to each other more.
But now it was time to confess.
Akutagawa cleared his throat and said to atsushi. "I need you to sit down for a moment, I need to tell you something." Atsushi nodded and sat on a nearby bench.
Akutagawa took a deep breath and began. "Don't interrupt me when I will talk, it's important to me that you don't. Okay?" Atsushi looked surprised for a moment but then asked with a sad expression. "Do I interrupt you a lot, is that why you asked me not to?" Atsushi looked sad, akutagawa felt bad And said immediately "not at all, it's just important to me at the moment." Atsushi nodded and smiled. As akutagawa was getting ready to confess to him two cats appeared near atsushi, and started to cling to him. atsushi looked ethereal, no wonder he was a werecat, he looked like one of the cats from the duo.
Akutagawa started to get nervous so he started to talk Fastly "what I will say next will not effect our relationship if you don't want it to." Atsushi nodded. Akutagawa continued "I'm in love with you weretiger." He listed off some things that made if fall in love with the weretiger, even if he never has any romantic relationships, he has read enough to know what to say to make the moment better. "So.. yes." Akutagawa finished his confession. Atsushi looked unbothered by the confession, it seems to be a good sign to akutagawa. "Actually.. I wanted to confess to you too, I just didn't know when" atsushi smiled. Akutagawa gaped at him, then said "I'm in love with you." Again." Atsushi smiled and stood up to hug him. Akutagawa said as he hugged atsushi back "may you return my words..?" He wanted to hear it from atsushi. Atsushi said "of course! I'm in love with you too!!" Akutagawa felt the happiness he ever did. He kissed the weretiger on the cheek like he was a teenager with a crush on his best friend. He didn't have the time to think about it before atsushi kissed his cheek back.
Akutagawa panicked, came to a park, confessed, and left with a boyfriend.
That was the best day of his life.
