id gone down thinking itd be a simple, easy, few saferooms. but i was wrong. the first thing that went wrong is i put the wrong trinkets in my backpack, little items that help me do more cool things (like jump on walls) and ended up with a few more creatures chasing me then i expected, next thing is i brought out my measly flashlight and nothing else. normally i use my lantern, and a few other items but i kept forgetting
then i ended up almost getting hit by slugfish, and hes a rather loud slug fish... thing. it made my ears begin to ache and ring. afterwards i just sat down, and almost forgot i was supposed to do anything! i stayed there for like 5 minutes before i felt the tingle of carnation beginning chase and had to run as fast as possible to the next safe room.
by the time all of this had happened i just wanted to lay down and hold something, i was wound up like a spring and didnt even have it in me to run unless i had to.
soon carnation gave chase, again. i forgot he chased twice every saferoom, and had to run before id even rested for a moment and calmed down.
i rushed through the doors as fast as i could until- heed. i began to stare at him as i made my way halfway through the room. my eyes were wide and i fellt so small compared to the eye that was the size of my entire body
wait- small? no. no no no. not now of all times. i felt my head soften a little and almost crawled into a ball, it was too bright and loud. i just wanted to- to go home...
heed pov (sorry loves this is my plan for this short)
i was just watching the small human in front of me until i noticed them start to curl into themselves, and their eyes seemed almost... innocent? were they okay? they looked at me in fear and i took a moment to wonder where carnation - that weird flower that begins to faintly whistle when he approaches - was and noticed he was near, only 5 doors back.
and this human, they were frozen in terror. i hoped i wouldnt suffer any consequences and opened the door for them (i can move some things, despite just being an eye. dont ask how) before shutting my eye and leaving them be.
back to reader perspective
i watched him in terror as carnation got closer, i couldnt move. the door clicked open to the right of me and carnations eye closed as it disapeared. why.. was the door open? no matter i need to run and now
i rush through to the nearest safe room and calmly get back to the enclosed room with drywall after another few minutes, before promptly pressing a button to leave (its installed on all backpacks) and returning to my little corner i made for when i start to regress unexpectedly
