Chapter Text
“So, Bassie got sick?” Delilah asked. The Keen-Covetman family was having dinner, and Sara told her mother everything that had happened today.
“Yep.” Sara replied as she put spaghetti on her plate and added some sauce on top. “So, until Bassie is better, we have to run the Easter event.”
“I don’t get it.” Dandy spoke up as he made his plate of spaghetti. “I thought Bassie said she was doing better. Why did she replace showing she can be independent?”
Sara and Dandy sat down at the table as Sara continued talking. “Well, trauma doesn’t go away easily, Mom.” Sara answered as she glared at her mom.
Delilah stopped halfway through eating her spaghetti and looked up at her daughter. “Sweetie, I was one of the founders of Gardenview. I made that decision and can still act on it.”
Sara smirked. “Well, I own the toons now, so should it be me making the decision?” She asked.
Delilah gave her daughter he signature smile, “sweetie, your Uncle Arthur and I gave you and your friends the rights to the toons.” She explained as she took a bite of her spaghetti. Once she swallowed it, she continued, “but as for decisions. I still have the final say.”
Sara knew her mother was going to say that, so it was time to unleash her uno reverse card. “What if I told you I have a compromise?” She revealed.
“I’m listening.”
“Okay, you want Cocoa to be a main. Right?” Sara asked.
“Right?” Delilah confirmed, wondering where her daughter was going with this.
“And I want Bassie to keep her main status. So, we make Cocoa a main, but Bassie keeps her main status. Two Easter mains, baby! HA!” Sara exclaimed, slamming her hand and pointing at her mom. She then smirked and crossed her arms, knowing she had the best idea in the world.
Delilah didn’t react and just ate her spaghetti as her daughter explained her idea. “Sweetie, only one main per seasonal event. Not two.” She replied.
Sara chuckled, knowing that didn’t work. “Alright, then let’s make-”
“I’m not making Bassie part of the main cast with Dandy and the others.” Delilah said, cutting her daughter off and giving her a smirk.
Sara groaned, seeing her mom uno reversed her uno reverse card. “But mom!” She whined.
“Remember, Sara, I still have the rights.” Delilah reminded her.
Sara gave a pout before slamming her head on the table and letting out a groan.
Dandy didn’t say anything and just enjoyed his dinner show.
