Chapter Text

Late in the night, after the reception long ended when the flowers were starting to wilt and the shoes had been kicked off and everybody eles left only the two of them remained, the DJ played a slow, melodic song. Hoseok and yoongi were the only ones left on the floor, the wanted to have a last dance in their own wedding.

Yoongi’s head was tucked perfectly into the crook of Hoseok’s neck, his eyes closed, a content smile on his lips with hobi’s arms wrapped around his waist hands locked at the small of his back as if he were bracing him against the world.

They weren't "dancing" so much as they were swaying in a single, shared breath.

Hoseok pulled back just an inch, his forehead coming to rest against yoongi’s in the dim light his eyes were a dark, shimmering map of everything they had survived.

"We're finally here, yoongi. You're finally mine." he whispered his voice a low vibration that only he could hear.

As the last notes of the music drifted into the rafters, they didn't move the lights began to dim further signaling the end, but they stayed anchored to one another in the center of the dark room.

"Last dance, Mr. Jung?" Yoongi murmured against his lips.

Hoseok smiled, leaning down to kiss him. With a promise of forever.

yoongi pulled back just enough to look him in the eyes, he reached up and traced the line of his jaw.

"No," Hoseok replied, pulling him back into his chest as the silence took over. "Just the first one of the rest of them."

In the quiet hours after the world went dark, the bedroom became their sanctuary. Hoseok didn't touch him like a man afraid he would vanish; he touched yoongi his yoon with the heavy, certain pressure of a man who had finally come home.

In bed, the physical connection felt different it felt permanent.

Every touch was underscored by the knowledge that they had nowhere else to be and no one else to consider. When Hoseok moved over him, his weight was a comfort, a grounding force that told yoongi that he was no longer adrift. Hoseok didn't just look at him, he looked through him, his eyes dark with a mixture of fierce protection and absolute surrender.

"You’re mine," he whispered against his lips "mine", the words not a demand, but a statement of fact.

"Everything I am, yoongi. It’s yours. It has been since the first day I saw you."

yoongi arched into him, his hands roaming the familiar landscape of his back, feeling the strength in his shoulders and the heat of his skin. The intimacy was thick with history and triumph. Every time their bodies met, it felt like they were rewriting the years of distance.

The "hobi-shaped hole" wasn't just filled; it was overflowing, as Hoseok took his time, his hands mapping the curves of his body with a slow, deliberate reverence. He knew every scar, every corner, and exactly where to press his thumb against his hip to make his breath hitch in that specific way, to hear him moan he love yoongi’s moans.

"You're overthinking," he’d whisper against the sensitive skin of his throat, his voice a deep, vibrating rumble that he felt in his core.

Hoseok could always tell when his mind was drifting, and he’d use his body to pull him back to the present, He’d settle his weight over him, pinning his wrists gently above his head, forcing his eyes to look at him—to see the fierce, unadulterated adoration in his eyes before he kissed him.

For yoongi, being with Hoseok was a revelation in surrender, he loved the contrast of him the rough callouses on his palms from his work against the startling tenderness of his mouth as they moved together, the pace was never rushed It was a rhythmic, rising heat, built on years of repressed longing finally given a place to burn.

He would wrap his legs around Hoseok’s waist, pulling him closer until there wasn't a single inch of air between them. He loved the way his muscles bunched under his fingertips, the way he’d bury his face in the crook of his neck and groan his name and the "i love you's" like a prayer, one he was finally allowed to say out loud.

Afterward, the air in the room would be heavy and sweet with the scent of them. They wouldn't move for a long time, limbs tangled in a messy, effortless knot.

Hoseok would pull the duvet over them, tucking his head under his chin. He’d trace the line of his spine with his fingers a slow, wandering path that always ended with him pulling yoongi just a little bit tighter, he didn't need to say anything else.

He just held Hoseok the dark, the silence between them no longer a distance to be bridged, but a peace they had earned.

Because now waking up next to him or seeing him across their kitchen, yoongi finally understands the true nature of his look.

When Hoseok looks at him now, it’s with a fierce, settled belonging. He doesn't look like he’s waiting for him to disappear anymore. He looks at him with a soft, crinkling warmth around his eyes that feels like a warm blanket on a cold night.

It’s the way he looks at him when he's doing something mundane—brushing his teeth or reading a book. He’ll just stop and stare, a small, private smile playing on his lips, as if he’s still solving the math of how he got to be the one who stays.

"I used to think his eyes were a judge," yoongi wrote in his journal. "I realize now they were a sanctuary. He was never waiting for me to be perfect; he was just waiting for me to realize that, to him, I already was."

The next morning, the room was bathed in the soft, honeyed light of a sun that felt brand new. Yoongi woke slowly, draped across Hoseok’s chest, the steady, rhythmic thrum of his heart acting as his morning lullaby he smiled to himself didn't move for a long time, content to just watch him in the honest vulnerability of sleep.

The hard, protective edges he carried during the day had softened; he looked younger, peaceful, and entirely his. He traced the line of his shoulder, his skin still humming with the memory of his touch from the night before—a night that had left his muscles heavy and his soul completely full.

Leaning up on one elbow, he let his hair fall over his face, watching his eyelashes flutter before he pressed a lingering, tender kiss to the corner of his mouth.

"hobi" he whispered against his lips, his voice a playful, sleep-warmed rasp. "Wake up."

His eyes cracked open, clouded with sleep but instantly softening the moment they found him. He groaned softly, his arms tightening around his waist to pull him back down into the heat of the blankets.

"Five more minutes," he grumbled, his voice deep and gravelly.

yoongi giggled, nipping playfully at his jaw. "No chance. You exhausted me last night, Mr. Jung, so I think the least you can do is carry me to the kitchen and make me breakfast."

Hoseok huffed a laugh, a spark of pride and tired affection lighting up his eyes. "Is that the rule now? I do all the work and then I have to cook?"

"Exactly," he smiled, pressing another kiss to his nose.

With a mock sigh of defeat, Hoseok tossed the covers back and stood, scooped him effortlessly into his arms. As he walked toward the kitchen, yoongi tucked his head into the crook of his neck, smiling contently he's finally home.
