Elliot could tell that Two Time needed a hug but he wasn't sure if they would allow him to hug them. He reached over to the hand that Two Time had been biting absentmindedly, setting his hand over it and rubbing their knuckles slowly and reassuringly. He smiled when he saw them blush, a rosy pink blossoming on their pale cheeks. He felt their hand shift under his and he pulled his hand away nervously, not wanting to make them uncomfortable but they grabbed his hand, snaking their fingers between his. Elliot felt himself blush and tried to ignore Chance's words from earlier, he had to be here for Two Time. they had seemed really stressed after the last round so he wanted to comfort them.
Two Time had been upset after the round. for some reason their legs had carried them towards Elliot and forced them to wrap their arms around him in a tight hug once they had been sent back to the lobby. They didn't know why. They also didn't know why it felt like they were experiencing a slight stroke every time Elliot called them 'Timey', maybe they should get that checked out.. No matter, they felt themself strangely pulled towards Elliot as if some strange, godly force was trying to make them hug. They didn't want to though... they didn't want to be weird again. Maybe the Spawn wanted this? Maybe this was all a part of his plan.. or Two Time was delusional, which was not very likely (lies).
Two Time looked over at Elliot who looked kind of nervous? Why would he be nervous?
"Two Time?" Elliot asked.
"Yes?"
"What happened during the match?" Elliot turned to face them, holding their hand tightly in his and giving it a squeeze. Two Time felt the same delirium from the match return. When they opened their mouth to explain, only crazed ramblings escaped. Elliot realized that they probably couldn't talk about it and pulled them against his body, instantly silencing them. Two Time blushed, feeling their face turn red. They lay against Elliot's chest, hand still in his. Eventually sleep crawled into their brain and built a web of comforting thoughts, lulling them into it's pincers but they fought their sleepiness, they had to resist it because they couldn't lower their guard. Not even around Elliot.
Two Time was fighting the sleep that pulled at their eyelids and Elliot must've somehow noticed because he pulled them closer and fell backwards into a laying position across Two Time's bed with them laying on his chest. They couldn't fight it any longer and drifted off to sleep, comforted by Elliot's warmth as the pizza boy wrapped his arms around their thin frame.
"Love is a gentle thing, yours is thicker than a velvet ring.." -velvet Ring by big thief
Two Time awoke, curled up on Elliot's chest. They slowly and stealthily crawled off him as not to disturb his slumber. He was laying so peacefully with his arms still clinging to the fabric on the back of Two Time's shirt. Sunlight filtered through Two Time's bedroom window as the sun poked through some clouds outside as birds tweeted excitedly at a start of a new day.
Two Time unhooked Elliot's fingers from their shirt carefully and hopped off their bed, landing on all fours then standing up and brushing some of their wild black hair out of their eyes. They slowly and silently shuffled towards the door, letting their feet land on the hardwood floors with as much grace as a cat's paws. They creaked the door open and slipped through, out into the clearing. they strode over to the main cabin, avoiding clumps of dewy grasses and ground cover as to not get their feet wet.
Once inside the lobby cabin Shedletsky looked up from a beachball he had been eyeing suspiciously and watched Two Time walk by. They pulled up the sleeves of their cloak self consciously, thinking that the other few survivors in here would judge them. They arrived at the coffee maker and scanned the room nervously as they made themself a coffee. a firm grip appeared on their shoulder and they yelped as Chance whirled them around to face him. "Stay away from Elliot." He hissed venomously. "We don't need you to kill someone else." They pushed Two Time back and spun on their heels, plodding away. Two Time's heart raced but guess what? Their coffee was ready. They grabbed their macchiato and headed back towards their cabin.
When they opened the door Elliot stood by the window, biting his fingernails. He turned to look at Too Taim as they entered, his face lighting up when he saw them and blush dusted his cheeks. "Two Time! there you are!" His eyes darted to their coffee. "Coffee break, I see." He smiled and Two Time blushed. "Yes well, it's a little difficult to wake up without it." They said, looking down at their cup. "about last night.." He started but Two Time raised a hand and gave a dismissive wave. "weeee.. don't need to talk about that-"they stopped when they saw Elliot's disappointed look. "-well-well i mean haha, if you want to though!" They hurriedly said, stumbling over their words. Elliot looked flustered. "N-no it's fine, we don't have to if you don't feel like it." He said, wringing his hands nervously. Two Time blushed and their heart sped up, the creature inside them begging them to hug him. They sighed and set their coffee down on the table next to the entrance, strolling over to Elliot. He looked confused until they wrapped their arms around him. "Wha- opp, uhm.." Elliot trailed off, patting Two time's back and wrapping his arms around them as well, resting his chin on their head. Two Time smiled softly, burying their head into Elliot's shoulder as if trying to wipe it off of their face.
Two Time eventually pulled away, grabbing their coffee cup and sipping their macchiato. Elliot ran his fingers through his golden hair and sat on the edge of Two Time's bed while the lanky cultist leaned against the wall. "I'm- I'm sorry about last night." Muttered Elliot. "You have nothing to be sorry for." Two Time said, taking another sip of their coffee and feeling the caffeine slip into their veins. Elliot looked up at them as they gazed down at their absolutely destroyed cuticles (self projecting my finger picking issues on them haha) "w-why's that?" He stammered, looking puzzled. "It was... not unenjoyable." Two Time said truthfully. They hadn't hated the experience, to be completely honest they had enjoyed being able to curl up next to someone again as they slept, it comforted them and made them feel as though no wrong could ever happen again. Were they... falling in love? But they still were completely tied to Azure... right? were they really? Azure was a monster now. He had killed them. But why were they surprised, they had sacrificed them. a pang of guilt returned and they dropped their coffee cup, grabbing their stomach.
The cup shattered into many ceramic pieces on the floor as Two Time clutched their stomach. Seeing this, Elliot ran over to them, catching them and walking them to their bed where he set them down. Two Time curled up in the fetal position and groaned. The guilt had sliced through their brain and stomach, giving them a painful stomach ache. But then again, they also hadn't eaten for a couple days so it might be that too. "Are you okay?" Asked Elliot. Two Time tried to say, "I'm hungry, might i be in the position to request a meal from you?" But all they could muster were pained grumbles and moans. "Am hrnghhhh, mmfgh ah, ben thuh... urghhhhh..." Elliot looked concerned. "Do you need food?" He asked. Two Time tried to nod and managed to a bit but then grunted again as pain shot from their stomach again. They should eat more. "W-wait here.." Elliot looked around the room then darted out, running away.
Two Time was alone. Again. They always were. They waited for about five minutes, the pain beginning to fade then slowly getting replaced by hunger that wracked their body. The cult had done a week once every month where loyal followers would starve themselves, only drinking water when they were thirsty. of course, Azure would help Two Time stay somewhat healthy by making them eat something, at least a little bit. He'd make them a sandwich or something and see them through it, making sure they ate at least a quarter of it.
Elliot burst through the door and flopped onto the bed next to Two Time's curled up shape, tossing a pizza box onto the comforter. He sat up and opened it, pulling out a slice. "Timey? Do you.. want this?" He asked. Two Time nodded, feebly pushing themself up into a sitting position and gratefully taking the slice. Elliot watched them take a small nibble then set it back down. He waited for a few more seconds before finally speaking. "Is that... it?" He asked, confused. Two time looked over at him. "Hmm? yes." They nodded. "But-but you just took a small bite!?" Elliot pointed at the slice. Two Time nodded. "I've survived on less." Elliot felt offended. "Is my cooking really that bad??" He yelped. Two Time's eyes widened. "N-no! I'm just- I'm not sure if i'd be able to finish the slice." Elliot narrowed his eyes. "the single slice?" He asked. Two Time nodded. "Oh come on! You're malnourished enough, come on, eat." He begged, picking up the slice and waving it under Two Time's nose.
"I just.. don't want to eat it wrong.." admitted Two Time. "eat it wrong??" Elliot sounded dumbfounded. "You can't possibly eat pizza wrong." he groaned. "For god's sake, I've even seen someone eat a pizza with a spoon!" He jabbed the slice at Two Time. They grumbled, the hunger still lurked in their stomach, ready to claw at them again if they refused to eat for any longer. "fine. but only because I have a fork with me."
"you can't be serious." Said Elliot, glaring at them.
"I'm as serious as a snake with it's fangs pulled out." Two Time grinned at their own joke. Elliot snorted. "wonderful, now eat." He shoved the pizza at them again and they reluctantly took it. They couldn't deny that it tasted amazing. "thank you... I must admit that this is quite good." They murmured around bites. Elliot smiled proudly.
