Chapter Text
About a month later, the boys’ holiday plans were finally leaving the group chat. They mistakenly decided to take one car, to save money of course. Jay drove with Jungwon in the passenger seat playing music. Everyone else in the car acted like they didn’t notice the two holding hands over the console. The middle row consisted of a dreadful looking Niki next to Jake, who was asleep and had his head on Heeseung’s shoulder.
Sunoo and Sunghoon sat in the back row. About an hour into the drive, Sunoo unbuckled his seatbelt and put his head on Sunghoon’s lap, tucking his feet up onto the seat.
He initially had fallen asleep, but was suddenly awoken about five minutes ago by Jungwon turning his music up. Since then, Sunghoon tossled his hair between his fingers and did his best to be gentle despite the harsh bumps of the road. He knew if he did it right, the younger would eventually ease back into sleep.
Sunoo looked up at him and shivered, in an attempt to silently request the older’s jacket. Sunghoon obeyed and slipped his jacket off while keeping Sunoo’s head on his lap. He draped it over the latter and he smiled in return. Though the blasting AC was giving him chills, Sunoo provided a warmth that simply couldn’t be explained.
His eyes closed again, and Sunghoon lost track of time while staring at the sleeping boy. He watched every breath he took. Every now and then, his cheeks would swell up with air, and he’d huff it out.
That might be the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.
Before he knew it, they’d arrived at the vacation cabin. The cabin was rather large. It opened up into a living room and kitchen right past the door. There was a slightly curved staircase leading up to a second floor. To the right of the kitchen was a short hallway that had another bedroom. At the end of the hall was a staircase that took you to the basement, that also had one room. They all unloaded their luggage into their respective bedrooms. The group was lucky to find a nice house with six bedrooms. Unsurprisingly, Heeseung and Jake immediately offered to share a room. On the second floor was Sunoo, Jungwon and Jay’s bedroom. The main floor was left to Heeseung and Jake’s room; Sunghoon was alone in the basement.
They’d met back down in the living room around 7 and ate dinner. They decided to conclude their night with a movie, like always. When it came to an end, Sunghoon found himself dreading having to move from his position. Sunoo’s head was resting on his shoulder, and both of his arms hugged Sunghoon's bicep. After coming to the realization that his six friends were staring into his soul, he woke up the sleeping Sunoo and slightly sulked as he retreated to his room.
Sunghoon had laid restless in his bed for at least an hour. It was now 1:34 a.m., and his body burned with absence. He abruptly stood and walked to his door. As he was reaching for the handle, the door swung open. He was met with fox eyes and a pout.
“Oh–”
Sunoo awkwardly stood outside his room, “I couldn’t sleep, sorry.”
“No– Sunoo, you don’t need to apologize for anything. Come here,” Sunghoon stepped aside to let him in. Sunoo led, walking comfortably to his bed and lying down. He dramatically stretched his arms open and gestured for Sunghoon to join him.
The older chuckled, “I’m too heavy, Sunoo-ah.”
“Oh, nonsense,” he teased. Sunoo sat up to grab Sunghoon’s wrist and pull him down on top of him. The dark haired boy’s body completely drowned Sunoo’s, and he let his arms rest idly at his sides. “See, no issues here,” he tried to make his voice light but it audibly strained from the larger boy on his chest. Sunghoon laughed into his shirt and nudged the blonde with his face.
Sunoo scoffed and began to toy with his hair. He used both hands, running them through his slick locks. He scratched the back of his neck, sending shivers down his spine. Sunghoon let the other play with his hair for a good ten minutes before he pushed himself up using his arms into a plank position.
He was hovering over Sunoo now, and they locked eyes. The tension between them multiplied rapidly, causing his heartbeat to do the same. He followed his mindless actions and leaned closer to his face. Their breaths mingled for a second before Sunoo gave him a nod.
A beg, really. Asking without using his words.
With the sudden permission, Sunghoon closed the distance between them and brought a hand to cup his face. Their lips moved in harmony and Sunoo began to gently pull at the older’s hair. He grunted in a slight pain and deepened the kiss.
Sunoo opened his mouth and let him slide his tongue inside. Sunghoon explored every inch of his mouth and let his hands roam his body. The blonde moved his own hands out of the older’s hair and scratched his back, but it was no longer gentle. The latter could feel his nails through his shirt as the sting absorbed into his skin.
Sunoo brought a hand back to the other’s neck and pulled his head down to his own. They fought for rights over each other’s mouths until the older briefly pulled away. Without giving either of them time to catch their breath, Sunghoon sucked at his neck until he found a weak spot. He languished the skin and Sunoo felt a bruise already forming. A soft noise escaped his lips as he pulled Sunghoon by the hair to meet his mouth again.
Minutes passed before they fully broke apart. Sunghoon laid on his back next to the younger, trying to catch his breath. He hadn’t even fully processed the situation.
Where do we go now?
Once he found enough space in his lungs, “Is it still not obvious that I like you, Sunoo-ah?”
Sunoo giggled and moved over to put his body on top of the other boy’s. He sat on Sunghoon’s lower stomach and leaned forward to cup his face again. The dark haired boy’s hands found his hips, Sunoo kissed the flushed lips in front of him, this time with sweetness. He pulled away and let out another laugh, “You could’ve made a better effort,” he pressed his face into Sunghoon’s neck and mumbled. “I like you too, Sunghoon hyungie.” He lifted his face back up to let his eyes meet the holder's again. “Also…” He pushed Sunghoon's raven hair out of his face. “This is what I think we would have done.”
