Chapter Text
It was still dark outside by the time ReGect woke up, he hadn’t slept for long maybe like three or four hours? For an entity he definitely slept more than average but it was one of the only ways he chose to get his energy so he couldn’t complain much, he also didn’t like the boredom that came from the night when everyone else was asleep. Either way he decided to go downstairs and start his day, maybe watch a little Tv and cook breakfast before everyone else woke up, similarly to him they woke up decently early.
Mindlessly walking through the house ReGect couldn’t help but think about the avian he had saw the night before, definitely not out of attraction - of course not, but more out of suspicion. They lived in the rural north, was business does an avian have here especially in the warm season of the south? It was almost going to become winter as that, that avian would freeze, and he wasn’t in the mood to find a frozen avian laying around somewhere.
He plopped down on the couch, remote in hand when he heard footsteps coming from upstairs.
“ReGect? I can’t see you it’s too dark.”
A small smile emerged on his face, “yeah it’s me kid, what are you doing awake? Isn’t it too early for you?’
Lazily Micha rubbed his eyes while going down the stairs to join ReGect, “nah I could’t sleep and it’s only…5:34. How long have you been awake?”
“Not long.” He patted the couch next to him and handed Micha the remote who happily took it, he leaned against ReGect arm trying to rid himself of any drowsiness. “Did you ever find that person that you were paranoid about”
“First of all, I wasn’t paranoid, and second of all, I uh…kinda did.”
Micha sprung from his seat and whipped around towards ReGect, “Are you serious? Like you actually saw another person? Like someone who wasn’t a villager? Oh my gosh do you think we can befriend them!?”
ReGect leaned slightly backward from the bombardment f questions, putting his hands up defensively, “okay, okay, yeah it was an actually, er person- but you gotta stop trying to befriend everything you see.”
Micha shook ReGects shoulders out of pure excitement, practically bouncing in his seat, “ReGect you dont understand! This is crazy! There hasn’t been a new person since Moe and we met her when I was like..thirteen”
“-fourteen”
“We have to meet them! This is like, a super rare chance to make a friend! Did you see what they look like?”
“I, uhh-“ he thought back to the avian, how enthralled he was into their appearance, maybe it wouldn’t hurt to talk to them, for security purpose of course nothing else.
“They uhm, looked fine..”
“Did you even see them clearly?”
“Yes! Of course I did! Don’t underestimate my investigation skills!”
“I doubt stalking someone can count as investigating.” His voice flat looking at ReGect with a deadpanned look.
“H-hey, I wasn’t stalking them at all, it’s not my nature.”
“You were stalking me before you even talked to me when we first met.”
“That’s different.”
“Hardly. Anyways do you know if they are an entity? Or maybe a human!”
“No, I don’t think they are an entity but who knows.”
“Ughhh come on Regect we have to go find them!’ He begun tug on Regect’s arm ushering him to get off the couch.
“Micha, it’s still dark outside there is no way they would even be out there, plus it’s too cold to be looking and we haven’t even bought you winter clothes.”
“ugh fine, but that means we have to go out today when Moe wakes up and got shopping! And then we can go looking for this mystery person!” Micha finally released Regect from his grasp and walked to the kitchen.
“I wouldn’t call them a person-“
“Regect can you make me pancakes?’
He let out a small sigh, watching as Micha gathered the ingredients, smiling as he got up to wake over to him, “I think you’re more than capable to make your own pancakes.”
“Yeah but you make them the best! Or actually, Moe does, she’s really good at cooking. But you’re here right now and I don’t wanna make them myself.”
“Gee, thanks.” He begrudgingly grabbed the pancake mix from his hands to begin cooking
Micha laughed at him and took a seat at the dining table, chatting away with him about anything they could think of.
