Chapter Text
~ 6 Months Later ~
Marinette and Alya made up.
It took some awkward exchanges and about five hours of knitting an apology dress, but they repaired their friendship.
But for Lila Rossi, apologies... weren't that easy.
Some people forgave her. Some people didn't. She couldn't blame them.
All she could do was try to set aside all the lies she'd told and simply "be who you are," as Marinette had once put it.
Speaking of Marinette and Lila, they had become good friends after that fateful conversation. The kind of friends who told each other their deepest secrets... and trusted the other not to tell.
Neither Marinette nor Lila could tell when their relationship turned into something more, but at one point, their hands started to drift together on instinct.
And so did their lips.
They ended the school year in the courtyard, holding hands among the flowers Rose had planted when she was a freshman.
And for the first time, neither of them was pretending to be someone else.
