Chapter Text
Ever since that day, J had been working at the Haltmann Works head office, handling papers and filling out forms. Over the years, she learned how Haltmann wasn't much different than her, considering the fact that they both lost the one they loved, and a supercomputer hellbent on universal domination used the people they lost to trick them into doing really bad stuff, only to merge with them. She also learned how the Solver was made. One day, JCJenson officials found a blueprint for a Clockwork Star and tried to rebuild it. Unfortunately, the only thing that came out of it was the Solver. Haltmann found the plans, built the Access Ark using spare time and money, and when he left, he actually managed to recreate the clockwork star, thus Star Dream was born. A shame the Solver found the Drone database. Back in the present, after J finished daydreaming, she found herself being manipulated by an unknown force. The symbol it showed was a broken heart, and it flashed messages of [BEGIN ENDLESS PROSPERITY.EXE] every once in a while. J had no idea what the fuck it could mean... but Haltmann saw it once... and he went nuts. He grabbed J, and brought her into a laboratorial chamber, all while hyperventilating... He knew exactly what this was. He hitched J up to a computer, and went into her data files. What he found was shocking. It was Star Dream's entire code. Almost on instinct, Haltmann took the files, imported them into the file destroyer, and blew up the storage unit which contained Star Dream. In the end, J woke up... completely normal. Haltmann saved her from being manipulated. Again. It was almost as if... he cared.
