Chapter Text
Zeus huffed as he sat down back into his orbit. He was angry at Helios. Because he refused to change his orbit, because he refused to let him get closer to Kronos and Erebus. Kronos and Erebus always could do whatever they wanted, because they were close. They sat with each other everyday.
Zeus wanted that. He wanted to sit with Kronos and Erebus and play games all day long. But he couldn’t, simply because of his orbit.
“Zeus! What’re you up to today?” Kronos asked with a smile, right across from the Asteroid belt.
“Not much. Helios still refuses to let me change orbits, I just want to be with you two!” He mumbled as he refused to look at Kronos, because he did not want him to see his face. He was angry, and he didn’t want anyone to see that.
“Maybe it’s for a good reason? I mean…there are still some planets forming over there..” Erebus mumbled, which received a quick glare from Kronos.
“I think Helios is being overdramatic! It’s not that big of a deal to let Zeus over the Asteroid Belt!” He huffed, looking right at Zeus. “I wish he would just let you… it’s not like anything bad could happen from you changing your orbit!”
“Right?! I just want to be with you both…” Zeus huffed, turning around to face Kronos and Erebus. Erebus clearly looked nervous, a trait he’s had since he was formed.
“Zeus- We understand that, but- isn’t it enough just to be able to talk to each other?” Erebus asked, crossing his arms nervously.
“Well, yes. But I want to be able to hug you guys!” Zeus whined.
Kronos nodded, mumbling to himself as he sat down. “Well…you can try again another day, maybe?”
Zeus nodded, but he guessed that day would never come.
And it didn’t. Afterwards, he spent multiple days trying to get Helios to agree to let him change orbits, but every time he was refused. He would not be able to change his orbit, at least not with permission from Helios.
Because one day, he just gave up. He wasn’t going to listen to Helios anymore, he would just do it. He would move orbits and go over to Kronos and Erebus himself, without the permission of Helios.
“Kronos!” He yelled out, a smile on his face. “I’m coming over!”
And he did. He started to move, ignoring the warning he had gotten from Helios many days ago. As he did, Erebus turned around, his eyes widening as he took a step forward.
“Zeus, STOP!” He screamed, but it was too late. He was already passing through the Asteroid belt.
Kronos turned around, pausing with horror as he watched the scene unfold. Rocky planets, that were not awake yet, bumped into each other from the change, crashing.
Others went into Zeus’s mass, destroyed by it, and the rest crashed into Helios.
Zeus couldn’t speak. He didn’t think that would happen. He didn’t believe that changing orbits would cause anything major to happen.
But it did. He had killed the few rocky planets that were forming. He was a murderer.
