Chapter Text

You were internally panicking, Choso was going to move in today. He said his movers will come over in the morning, so when you return to the apartment, He’d be there. How were you supposed to greet him..with food ? A cake or should you just smile and let him enjoy his new home? Is he the ‘privacy above all type’.

God. You think too much. You pull out your phone to just text him.

11:00 AM, Monday

Y/N

Hey ! want me to get takeout to eat today

You let out a deep sigh as you send it. That one text had been edited so many times. Shoving your phone in your pocket as you walked to the town’s library. You were a writer, you overthinked a lot but thankfully it had its perk. According to your editor you have a wild imagination, You were out to meet your agent and editor today.

Twirling your hair before, finally taking a deep breath and releasing it. You walked in,

Let’s hope this meeting goes well.

After being chewed out by Shoko, for not finishing the formatting of the second draft. You finally return home. Head thumping and your legs swollen. Your apartment smelled like cinnamon and pepper. Wow, it made you feel even more comfy. You take in the aroma, let out a deep sigh, throwing your shoes in a disorderly fashion to then collapse on the sofa, your back hitting a fluffy pillow as your eyes shut. You were exhausted. Just a minute, then I’ll get up.

You couldn’t help but feel you were forgetting about something. Meh, You decided you didn’t care. Inhaling this scent was the best gift ever. as you slowly lifted your eyes to see the ceiling. Instead you saw Choso peering down at you.

Instantly you shot up. “Oh-” Choso lightly patted your head, in response. You couldn’t help but feel flushed.

“Get freshened up, I made dinner”

His warm hand left your hair as he drifted back to the kitchen, leaving as quickly as he arrived. You’ve seriously never been this flustered and especially from a headpat.

you grumbled under your breath, tugging your hair free, so much for making a good first impression.

You peeled yourself off the couch and retreated toward your bedroom.

You had been standing in the hallway for an embarrassing amount of time. Your sleeve was already pulled over your hand. You hadn't noticed until your thumb started working circles on your skin, getting redder with each touch.

Just walk in. He's your roommate. This is your apartment.

You cleared your throat softly before stepping into the kitchen, “Whatchu making?”

Choso didn't turn around.

His hair was down.

That was the first thing you registered dark, loose strands falling past his shoulders, no longer pulled back into those two neat ponytails from earlier. It made him look different. It made you feel some type of way you didn’t account for

“Lemon pasta.” He said it simply, like you'd asked. He hadn't looked at you once. "Yuki said it was your favorite."

Your thumb stilled against your knuckles. Yuki told him

"Smells good," you managed.

He nodded, gesturing toward the table without a word. You took the hint and began setting it, the two of you falling into a quiet rhythm with him at the stove, you with the plates. The silence was calm.

You reached across for the last plate and your hand brushed against Choso's.

It was barely anything. But he stilled completely, abruptly like he was in flight or fight. You turned to face him.

His expression was neutral. You almost convinced yourself you'd imagined it. Until his eyes met yours, a soft small shakier smile than you’d expect plastered over his face. You returned it with a shaky smile of your own.

He was nervous too.

The thought settled over you quietly, almost tenderly.

You were content with the fact. You placed the last plate down and said nothing, because there was nothing to say. But something in your chest had loosened. You pulled out a chair and sat down, clearing your throat again for no reason at all.

You pulled out a chair and sat down, clearing your throat again for no reason at all.

After Choso was done, with the food you both sat at the table serving yourself,

"So," you started, reaching for your fork. "What kind of music do you sing?"

He considered the question longer than you expected, like he was deciding how much to give you. "Depends on the project. Mostly alternative. Some R&B."

"Do you perform live?"

"Sometimes." He paused. "Do you write fiction?"

The question caught you off guard. Your thumb found your knuckle under the table. "Yuki really talks a lot."

"She does.”

"Yeah, fiction." You cleared your throat. "Novels mostly. I'm working on a second draft right now which my editor hates, so." You gestured vaguely with your fork. "Going great."

Choso watched you. "What's it about?"

You looked up. Most people asked that question to be polite and looked relieved when you kept the answer short. He didn't look like he wanted the answer to be short.

You wanted to tease.

"Interested?" you asked lightly. "Well... it's a secret. You'll have to earn it, y'know."

"Hm?" Choso tilted his head. "How do I earn it?"

His question was so genuine that you almost laughed.

"Simple." You smiled, leaning in just enough to make it feel conspiratorial. "A secret of your own."

"...A secret?"

"Mhm." You nodded. "That's how trades work."

He fell silent.

You'd expected him to brush it off, maybe tell you to forget it or call your bluff. Instead, he actually thought about it, brow faintly furrowed as though weighing the value of every secret he'd ever kept.

"...All right."

Your smile faltered.

"Wait—you were actually considering it?"

"You said that was the condition."

"I was teasing you."

"I know."

"...You do?"

"I still want to know yours."

For a moment, you were the one at a loss for words. “Okay, what’s your secret?”

Choso rubbed the back of his neck, his demeanour wavering, taking a deep breath as he spoke "I fell for a girl I met a year ago."

"..." That caught you off guard. It irritated you how perfectly he fit your type but just not yours.

You silently cursed yourself, remembering all the times you'd caught yourself lusting after Choso.

"Why haven't you confessed?" you asked, your voice softer than before.

Choso's expression tightened. He looked... nervous.

"She doesn't remember me," he said quietly.

His eyes never met yours.

"Ah." You forced a small smile. "I hope she does, for your sake."

You paused, studying him for a moment.

It was obvious from the way his eyes darted away. Even speaking about her made him nervous.

You supposed that was reward enough. He'd held up his end of the bargain, laying himself bare over a long-term crush who didn't even remember him.

"Well..." You twirled your hair "My book's about a girl who pushes everyone away. She lets tiny fears dictate her life until she ends up barely living at all. It's basically about her trying to navigate that."

"...What's the ending?" Choso asked. "It sounds sad."

You looked back at him. "I don't think people who are always scared get happy endings." You would know.

He frowned. "Why? She's trying, isn't she?"

"Is trying enough?"

"Why wouldn’t it be enough?" His response came without hesitation. "If she's been trying the whole book, wouldn't it be anticlimactic if she didn't win in the end?"

You gave a small shrug. "Maybe. But it's just realistic."

“It is fictional, so I might change the ending” Truthfully, you hadn't decided on an ending yet. The words that had left your mouth weren't the ending to the story.

They were simply what you believed. Choso observed you quietly. “Yeah,”

The room fell into an awkward silence. You wondered if you'd done something wrong and glanced up at Choso, only to find him quietly munching on his pasta, lost in his own thoughts. He seemed so deep in thought that you decided it was best to leave him to it.

Although the two of you finished the meal in near silence, with only a few words exchanged here and there, Choso was still as helpful as ever. He washed the dishes alongside you and even told you more about the music he liked.

Despite the quiet, you felt strangely comfortable.

Choso was on a mission to impress you, after getting moved in successfully he decided to put the knowledge he'd pulled from Yuki to good use. He wasn't a good cook by any means, but as long as it made you happy he wouldn't be complaining.

It fluttered his heart when he saw you in your pajamas. It took him everything not to stare.

“Thanks for dinner," you said quietly.

"Mm." He didn't look up from the sink.

He heard her pause behind him. Then your sock feet shuffled back down the hallway.

Choso stood there for a moment, water running over his hands. He was extremely hard, letting out a breath he wasn’t holding, he was zoning out throughout the entire dinner because of how hard his pants had been, he’d hope you didn't notice.

Rushing to be done with the pants, he wanted to run into his room, his groin was now unbearable. His steps wavered. From the corner of his eyes, he spotted the hair tie you left on the table from work.

Grabbing it, he hurried downstairs and disappeared into his room.

Unfortunately, his room was directly across from yours.

The moment you stepped out, droplets of water slid from your damp hair, tracing your cheekbones before slipping down your neck.

"Choso, do you know where the extra towel is?"

"Uh..." His knees nearly gave out. "L-let me check in my room—"

He practically bolted inside, the door shutting behind him as he leaned against it, slumping forward with a hand pressed over his face. His cock was growing harder as he slowly massaged it with his fingers.

A groan left his mouth “Aah-”

You, clearly worried by the apprehensive Choso, approach his door knocking “Hey..? Are you alright?”

Hearing your voice was like a melody to his ears, his hands moved under his pants, groping his stiff cock. “Yes, yeah– mm”

A silence was heard from your side, he placed the rubber band over his finger that was gripping his cock dripping with pre cum.

“Hey, I’m sorry if– I came off anxious–” he dragged his hands over the cock. The rubber band felt unfamiliar against his skin, however it filled with ecstasy in ways his hands could never. “I’m just wary, my previous roommates, weren't the best”

You sighed

He thrusted into his hand harder

“I really hope we can be friends Choso.” You say in your sulky voice against the door, it got his heart beating fast, his hand moving faster as he now put the tie around the tip.

He really hoped you couldn’t hear the muffled moans, before he finally ejaculated, his cum dripping on the floor, on his hand and more importantly to him. Your hair band.

His cum stuck to your hair band like glue.

As he leaned his head against the door, his fingers closing around the hair tie, he steadied his breathing. "Don't worry," he called through it. "I just had a stomachache."

A grin slowly spread across his face.

"...Yeah," he murmured to himself. "Let's be friends."

After you agreed, walking away Choso felt disgusting, he never knew he could be this perverted. Looking at the mess he created and more especially the mess he created on your things.

It shouldn’t have made him feel so happy.

The next day he returned your hair tie, it was washed. He had manners, but as you wore it on your hand chatting to him about breakfast options. His smile grew.

“Hey, Y/N”

You turn to look at him, in response

“You wanna watch a movie tonight? I heard XXX came out”

“Oh yea! I wanted to watch that, “ You nod in excitement, truthfully he never watched many movies but he would if it got him close to you.

 “Come home early today then”
