Shortly after those bunch of clips, there was a while of silence. A whole break time designated for 'until Choi recovered', allegedly. Youngeun still felt nerves even when she could look around without a sense of pain, and Saheon only slumped stiffly in his seat. Thus, they both sat together in complete, frozen silence. Meanwhile, Jaheon continued to stay seated simply because there was no reason to get up, and Eun Haje stood up, stretching as Minseong instinctively followed.
Yeah, their understanding of Darkness Rules really did show how Daydream birthed lunatics. Either way, she glanced behind and stared at Choi, shaking her head, muttering under her breath. "Bureau employees, always so damn self-sacrificial." It seemed to also fit the description of her junior, but she didn't seem to notice or acknowledging it, turning away to approach Seo Hoyun, who was seating with The Dawn, positioned as if to also stand.
There was a while of silence, actually, mostly because neither sides spoke first. But eventually, Seong Jiwon spoke, "Everyone, if we have at least an hour of break, we should use it to catch up on practice! Hoyun-ah, you still keep making mistakes on the first verse, and Ichae-ya, you've been missing so much practice, we probably aren't even synchronised anymore...."
At his ice-breaking words, Dajun let out an exaggerated sigh, or maybe a whine, shifting and standing to cling to Sunghyun's side as he also stood from his seat. "Hyung! You're trying to kill me, aren't you? I'm so hungry, too! I don't wanna practice!"
Ichae also jumped, nodding his head along. "What Dajun-ah said!! If we practice in a death building-" he glared at Hoyun and Choi in particular, "-Then who knows what might happen! We can't continue as four, The Dawn is five!" Sunghyun seemed slightly swayed, Hoyun wasn't on the practice side to begin with, and in the end, Jiwon slumped over with a downcast expression, perfectly deer-like.
"You're idols?" Minseong spoke after a few beats, having missed the chance between the rapid fire of the two younger members between a close group, looking at their faces somewhat closely, then at their casual attire, and then nodding slightly. It made sense, it made a lot of sense.
But Eun Haje frowned, adding her own words. "But didn't Seo Hoyun-ssi want to become a Producer?" As soon as she asked that, Hoyun froze, and the rest of The Dawn tilted their heads. Though, Ichae's brows furrowed as he did, his easygoing expression cooling just a few hints, before returning to as it usually was.
Hoyun knew perfectly what that meant- they'd probably seen it through Soleum's memories- but it didn't help in the bother it made him feel. He ignored the words, decidedly, looking up to the side where he could finally glare more at Soleum in the distance.
And Soleum shrunk slightly at the glare.
When Choi had reawakened, with understanding, everyone who had been stood slowly seated themselves back down into their designated areas, all looking to the screen as per the guidelines, as familiar words appeared on the screen.
[Kim Soleum the coward!]

Go Youngeun, for a moment, wondered whether Seo Hoyun enjoyed calling Kim Soleum by full name, considering that had already happened twice before in the few scenes they all watched. That, or, Soleum enjoyed being called by his full name, considering these are his most prominent memories, or whatever the conditions for clips were. After all, his name wasn't exactly a secret... Hm...
Ichae... could never actually get used to hearing that new name being said by Hoyun. Maybe he could get used to the name individually, but it was hard to hear Hoyun refer to anyone with such emotion. Noeuls were an exception, for obvious reasons.
Lee Seonghae didn't think hearing Soleum's full name was a good sign! It seemed to either mean something serious would come up.. Or, something that could torment Soleum's mind for the next few days. Obviously, Seonghae wasn't one to enjoy the latter option- Soleum was a Good Person!
-[Yes.. Seo Hoyun?]
Eun Haje had to wonder just how bewitched her dear junior was, to play along so easily with another person... Even his voice held undeniable sweetness, if it were anyone but her junior, she would've thrown tomatoes at the screen and booed due to the unrealistically strong relationship.
Hmm... the last time Jiwon had called Hoyun by his first name was a few days ago when getting him to practice...... wow, people really did use the same words for many different contexts. Here, someone was flirting with him, there, he was threatening him...! He paused. Dating......
Ryu Jaekwan prayed, hoped this one wouldn't have any censorship within it. He also lightly hoped that it would be something sweet and cute for Soleum, instead of crazy as he'd have to deal with so much. Jaekwan frowned at the thought, if he was a little more reliable, he could've helped Soleum suffer less, but he didn't even know just how terrified Soleum was of Ghost Stories, and he still let him enter them whilst having to rely on him embarrassingly often. He shook his head, meaningless thoughts, regrets wouldn't help either of them.
-[Don't copy me.]
-[Anyways, do you want to go on a date?]
Jeong Dajun paused. He'd probably exclaimed this multiple times within his mind already but HIS HYUNG WAS DATING. It still felt crazy for him to hear or even acknowledge. The same hyung that was so devoted to fans, he'd push himself into a stage with a fever just cause he didn't want to disappoint them.... same guy had a boyfriend.... hhhuhhhhh????? Dajun's eyes spun....
Baek Saheon needed to go back to the Mansion of the Blind and lose both his eye and ears real quick. It HAD to be some hidden camera prank with how OOC Soleum was being within those clips, with how disgustingly sweet he was being with Seo Hoyun, and even with how people were willingly picking out alone time with... with HIM of all people! Maybe his shuddering breath was too loud, but he earned a glare from Youngeun, who proceeded to completely ignore him thereafter.
Ah, Hoyun remembered this one. That was funny, heh, he smirked slightly. Yeah... this one was a memory that stuck in his mind for a long time.
-[Why would I say no?]
How sweet, Youngeun thought, before remembering the numerous times she'd been ghosted before by multiple different people, and she frowned slightly out of jealousy. She wasn't jealous in actuality, but she did feel just slightly saddened by her lack of luck in her love life. Like- she now even worked at a place where it was physically impossible to start a relationship! Unless you were Kim Soleum, of course.
That was a very considerate, a very good response. Seonghae nodded. Nothing seemed strange, and she smiled at the surprisingly calm development... Yes, a date was a serious occasion, so it all seemed to work well. But, her instincts as an Elite Team Member seemed to tell her otherwise.
Seong Jiwon really found it surprising, once again, that Hoyun had a stable relationship.. knowing how many secrets he kept, and how consistently he'd worry others while calling it nothing... wow, Soleum was a soldier! Haha. And he still was sweet and kind to Hoyun, too.
-[Horror movie.]
Ah, Haje seemed to like Hoyun more and more with how well he could tease and prank Soleum like that. She nodded, because she probably would've done the same had she known just how much of a coward her junior was. Of course, it seemed Minseong wasn't in approval at such tactics, so she forced her expression to become neutral.
Kim Sunghyun froze up. It was a trauma response, as one of Hoyun's regular victims. He knew to analyse Hoyun deeply. If Kim Soleum was a coward.... Sunghyun could only pray for the man's safety.
Jaekwan's eyes widened. Wasn't- Wasn't Kim Soleum a coward? He didn't seem like the type to enjoy Horror... Not from what Jaekwan had seen so far. He send a disapproving gaze toward Seo Hoyun's seat, and looked away just as quickly, he wasn't one to actually judge Civillians... It wasn't the amazing thing to do, but it wasn't like he was putting Kim Soleum in harms way.
-[... I might be busy...]
Wow. Dryly, Baek Saheon thought. Extremely dryly. This was also the same person who wanted to use Saheon as bait for fun, who went into Darknesses more like it was a hobby and less like a life-threatening occupation. Yeah, maybe he should just go die and hope this was some sort of mass hallucination. It seemed possible for that lunatic to pull off.
Lee Jaheon stared at the screen. He, or they, didn't nod his head at all, opting for a slow blink that didn't seem like a blink at all. He noted, inwardly, that Roe Deer did not enjoy horror movies, and he moved on promptly after acknoweldging the fact.
-[Sol-ah....]
-[Nevermind, I'll just go with one of your friends instead.]
Park Minseong felt chills that had nothing to do with the weather- actually, within the darkness, the temperature was quite neutral. That was uncomfortable to acknowledge, but anyways, he felt a vague and growing sense of pity for his junior's mental state... Having to deal with that... was not very nice.
Woah, fumble. (Pot calling kettle black). Agent Choi smirked slightly at seeing Grapes's fumble with his lover, it was very endearing to see Grapes losing an opportunity due to his fears. It just made him feel more perfect for Team Hyunmoo 1! His cautiousness in the most relaxed of spaces would let him survive longer than most or all other members indeed. Of course, Choi's expression was quickly noticed by Bronze, and the former stiffened slightly, turning his face away so he didn't suffer an aura-loss.
Dajun really realised he could never understand whatever was going on with his hyung. With Hoyun, he always kept certain sides of himself hidden from others, like an onion with different layers! It was impossible to properly grasp whatever went on with him. Even now, seeing the casual way in which he teased Kim Soleum, so different from how he'd joke with Dajun as the maknae, yet so similar... Dajun only saw these sides because the supernatural came true, and he was forced to react to them. They were unnecessarily deep thoughts for Dajun at such a casual scene.
-[Huh.]
-[Wait?]
It was a little difficult to hold back his giggles, but Hoyun stuck out and pressed his lips together, forcing his expression to become neutral. He loved teasing others, it was in his blood to make fun of others no matter how much he liked them. Like how he'd made his brother build a full 5000-piece lego set alone at midnight when he was angry. Or when he made someone go impotent. Or when he created dating rumours with Kang Yeonhu. Or when he blackmailed Joo Woosung. Or- Yeah, he should stop before the list went too long..
That was not a nice thing of Hoyun to do. Seonghae looked to the side at where Hoyun was seated.. What he did wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good. Whether he was intentionally making fun of Soleum, testing him or something else, not many of the possible outcomes seemed well.... Maybe she should revise her wish, slightly, as if Hoyun turned out to be a 'bad person', his disappearance or death could make a Good Person sad.... this was truly difficult, but she had to focus more on the task of watching the video first!
Kim Sunghyun shook his head. Hoyun wasn't one to do something like that so casually. He was a loyal person, even with all his other flaws that Sunghyun did keep a list of, but noted to never mention even his thoughts.
-[Doesn't that friend of yours like horror? I'll just go with him.]
Ah, wait, Youngeun finally understood what Seo Hoyun was trying to do. She glanced over to him with a slight smile. He was making Soleum jealous..! That was probably the best way to get a coward to go somewhere scary with you... Soleum would've been too jealous, or too bothered, to actually refuse on the grounds of his fears. Of course, she didn't exactly tolerate forcing someone to go past their boundaries just for a date. It was a dilemma.
Wow. Eun Haje really did think this guy was a lunatic, now. Who makes a serious expression while telling the person they love that they'd go on a date with someone else? That was a scheming man, for sure. It almost made her want to defend her junior, then she remembered he was probably willingly in this situation... Considering everything he's done, he's probably into things like that secretly. (The word masochist drifts past her mind).
Seong Jiwon blinked, a little harder than usual. Yeah, Hoyun did have the tendency to become harsh sometimes, whether deserved or not... to threaten to go on a date with someone else due to rejection.... Jiwon's eyes narrowed a fraction. Bad habits were best washed away with practice.
-[Hoyun-ah, stop, wait.]
-[No, I didn't say I wouldn't go!]
-[I'll, I'll check my schedule!]
That did not seem like healthy behaviour to Lee Jaheon OR the coalition. Jaheon stared as if to send a mental image of himself shaking his head toward Roe Deer, who was seated behind him and could not see his gaze. Jaheon seemed to feel the urge to advise breaking up, or at the very least, couples therapy... hmm... he did have experience in therapy some time ago. The only problem was that some of those practices weren't used in this world and time.
Maybe Choi should coach Grapes in the art of not fumbling (what would unc know man) or at the very least, being smooth. Who would stutter like that when being rejected by the person they're dating? Never mind the fact that Choi is however years old he is without a single partner, he's read romances, he knows what he's doing. His thoughts might've been sensed, because he felt a stare piercing the back of his head that felt strangely like Grapes's, and another in his side that was obviously from Jaekwan, probably paired with either a look of concern or disgust. Or both.
Meanwhile, Jaekwan felt a mix of emotions at seeing Choi's smug expression. He didn't know exactly what was running through the Agent's mind, but from his personality... Jaekwan didn't want to know in the slightest. He didn't know what to think, and also didn't feel compelled to say anything, so just looked away from that strange face.
And Sunghyun pitied Soleum like seeing a comrade. Or, well, something similar of the sort. That panic in Kim Soleum's eyes was familiar to Sunghyun. Yeah, he'd experienced the same feeling after a few too many pranks from Ichae and Hoyun.
-[....]
-[Give me your friend's number.]
... Make him grovel a little more. Saheon couldn't help the thought leaking out, hopefully not verbally, but maybe through his entire demeanour. It was refreshing to see Soleum on the losing end for once, he wished it would last longer. He knew he wouldn't be able to tease Soleum or make fun of him for this, too, because he'd probably end up being tossed into an S-rank Darkness to fend for himself if he angered the lunatic too much.
Kang Ichae almost gasped. Sure, he knew his hyung was an asshole, but he didn't know he could be this heartless! Acting like this just cause of rejection..... it made sense for someone like Hoyun.... Ichae noted to mention this to Hojin later, as that guy was missing out on everything.
-[Hoyun-ah... Don't do this to me...]
Maybe she'd been saying or thinking this a lot, but Youngeun never, ever thought she'd see Soleum in a state of semi-grovelling. Or maybe more like whining, or begging? Prejudices and first impressions stand strong, and it really never set in her mind that Roe Deer could be so chalant as the monster rookie of D squad. She coughed slightly, ignoring how Saheon glared at her and tried to reconnect the person on the screen back to the saviour she knew. Wow, they were different- Youngeun was once again opened up to the idea of what love could do to a person..!
Hoyun liked seeing others grovel. No, he was not a weirdo, yes, it was just a little preference, no it was not relevant now. He did think Soleum looked especially cute when he was on his knees. But anyways, that wasn't relevant. He shook his head, probably enduring a few stares.
-[Sol-ah...]
-[Aren't you going to be busy?]
Jiwon couldn't imagine someone so close to Hoyun, who'd leave gaps so obvious like that. Well, the only example he could name would be Joo Woosung, but Woosung was an anomaly among anomalies. He didn't count.
Minseong almost coughed, mostly because he couldn't believe the audacity of Seo Hoyun to bring that up KNOWING that his junior was a cute little coward! It almost made him shudder.. he wondered what it would feel like if Haje forced him to do something he wouldn't enjoy... Yeah, Hoyun was losing Minseong's favour.
Seonghae paused. Yes, that was an honest remark... Kim Soleum did say he was busy beforehand... So how would she evaluate this? Was it a good thing because it was honest? But wouldn't it truly be neutral, as Soleum had most likely lied about being busy? She shrugged, sitting up in her seat and adjusting the dolphin mask on her face to stop it from poking further into her skin.
-[I'm not! I won't! I can go!]
-[I can try..!]
Yeah, no, Soleum was definitely a little into it. Haje didn't know what else to think when he was giving his pride up so easily... Or, well, he was just really devoted to Hoyun? It didn't make sense for him to be the overly jealous type over just a hangout, Haje couldn't link that to her calm and precious junior.
Ryu Jaekwan did not believe that Kim Soleum had to do such things just for the approval of his lover. Soleum was amazing in many rights, and from how Hoyun was acting, Jaekwan was sure it was just teasing. He had a good grasp on most things, he could tell it was just poking fun at him, so he didn't exactly want Soleum to panic so much over a small thing.
-[Hah.]
-[No, I'll cancel the tickets.]
Ichae blinked. Then blinked harder. That scoff.... it sounded more like he was intentionally acting dry. Was Hoyun planning on actually going, and then backtracked because of the panic? His hyung was soft in the weirdest ways, he probably wanted to frame it as a joke, or maybe he changed his mind halfway through because he lost interest in forcing the other guy to see a movie with him. (Ichae paused. It was actually hitting him that Seo Hoyun was DATING).
Good. Jokes couldn't be taken too far. Sunghun almost feared for Soleum's mental state for if that prank lasted too long. Or uncomfortably long.
The dilemma was no longer a dilemma! Youngeun was also no longer conflicted on who to side with, yes, that was a good outcome. Soleum became jealous, and he also didn't need to go somewhere scary.. yes. Don't ask Youngeun why it was a good thing for him to be jealous, just simply know that it was a good thing in her mind.
-[?]
Ohhhhh Hoyun was a teaser. Choi let his gaze drift from the screen to Hoyun, discreetly, and he nodded as if seeing a correlation. However, there was a poke on his thigh from Jaekwan, who forced him to focus back onto the screen before he started bleeding from his nose too.
Jeong Dajun stared at the screen, too blank for how usually excited he was. Maybe because he was intrigued by seeing another one of Hoyun's sides, but he didn't seem to be interested in making too much noise. That and he must've had some lingering fear of the Darknesses's strengths and rules, which he didn't know beyond the obvious.
-[I just needed to scare you a little.]
So it seems. Ryu Jaekwan had been correct in his earlier deductions. Yes, Hoyun was just making fun of Soleum. Even if Jaekwan wasn't exactly approving of such a thing, he was glad it was only that. Soleum truly seemed attached to Seo Hoyun, it would've been sad to see that their relationship wasn't healthy, or close to healthy.
Scare him more, then, Saheon was far from satisfied and seeing Youngeun's slight smile at the revelation only soured his mood further.
-[..........]
Haje felt an ounce of pity, and then remembered that pity only made everyone weaker, and killed that emotion promptly. Actually, she was enjoying it a lot. The surprised look on Soleum, his fluster, or even the smile on Hoyun's face that seemed similar to 45% of schemers at Daydream.
That pause spoke louder than mamy things. Hoyun, as someone who spoke fluent Soleum-ese, knew very well what Soleum had probably thought in the moment. In the past, he could tell enough, and now, after being together for what had probably been upto a decade or more, he could understand even more in that face and those eyes.
-[You're so cute, Sol-ah.]
Minseong blinked hard, mostly because that didn't seem to correlate well with what horrors had just taken place. Was Hoyun actually a Daydream employee? Only someone from that company could be such a lunatic..- He coughed, shaking his head and trying not to think disrespectful things of the person sitting right next to him, who was also Soleum's lover.
Jaheon, Lizard, Alien..... Felt lightly confused at the twists of human conversation. It had gone from threatening and peer pressure, into friendship and love. Jaheon, as someone who had lived with humans for fairly long time, eventually noted this down... sometimes threats could be considered flirts.... whether anyone cared or not, the screen eventually morphed into another.
As the screen changed, Jiwon couldn't help his thoughts drifting slightly. Was it really cute to see your lover trembling because you threatened them? Was it similar to the happiness Jiwon felt when he'd manage to rope the other members into practice one more time (jokes, he isn't that obsessed with practice...) or was it just personal preference........ Hoyun did seem like a sadist, sometimes. But moreso he seemed like the other one.

Youngeun had heard that line a suspicious amount of times, she almost braced for an obscene amount of censors, grimacing just slightly as she shook her head, then blinked at the lack of anything that could cause harm like what had been done to the (now-awake) Agent some time ago.
Choi's senses were tingling. Not with fear, but with interest. Yes, he was a gossip-hungry agent, It didn't matter. He didn't get paid enough to be professional and he sure as hell was enjoying whatever was going on. He also decided against deducing anything again after earlier's experience, and Jaekwan's deathly stare whenever he leaned forward even slightly.
Kim Sunghyun shifted, and leaned back in his seat to relax as he watched the screen. Vaguely, he wondered when they'd all manage to leave and go back to the dorms... they still had to sleep for the next day's schedule, too.
-[Oh. You found it?]
No. What the fuck. Why was that thing haunting Saheon through video clips. Yeah, sure said clips were in a Darkness, but he was being haunted and creeped on by that fuckass fucking fuckity fuck fuck fuck toy! And now it was even with Soleum since before Daydream... No, it was definitely haunted. Fuck. He shuffled slightly, trying to keep his eyes straight ahead even as sweat probably soaked his suit.
Hm? That was Soleum's pink plushie, no? Jaekwan tilted his head curiously, before straightening up before anyone could notice. Or maybe Choi saw, but chose not to mention it. Either way, he didn't know that Soleum had multiple of those plushies. If his memory served correct... Soleum was quite attached to them, too.
-[This looks like...]
Hoyun paused. His eyes shook slightly, and he couldn't help but turn to glance at the members of The Dawn. This memory... it wasn't the best one to show. It was honestly kind of embarrassing for Hoyun to let others see, and it certainly didn't suit his current image. He held back a swear, inwardly flipping off the Darkness and whoever made it.
The screen panned to a pink bunny plushie, it didn't look exactly similar to the one Soleum enjoyed to carry around with him, but it had a great resemblance to it, and Haje blinked. So Seo Hoyun could do something like that, too. Yes, that was approved.
-[I got bored, and since I don't have any studies to catch up on, I ended up accidentally making a ■■■■ ■■■■■■ ■■■■■■■ (Good Friend Plushie).]
-[You talk about it way too much, so it must've just been like that... haha.]
A Good Friend Plushie. Jaheon reiterated to himself and to many others within his mind, that Roe Deer's relationship with Braun was definitely unhealthy to many extents. It would've truly been for the best had the youngest of Team-D firmly left the Ghost Story alone.
Ichae turned to Hoyun, and wanted to question on if his hyung actually knew how to make items like that. He froze when he saw Hoyun's expression, and he just swallowed down his words instead, looking back to the screen and keeping his silence.
-[Hoyun-ah...]
Was that fucking Braun speaking thing moving again. Saheon's eyes might've looked crazy, but it only seemed visible to the ones beside him and Youngeun wasn't looking at him at all, so thankfully his reputation was safe. But he wasn't caring about that when he was seated right next to a pink and most likely possessed plushie that followed Soleum around and haunted Saheon's nightmares like a shadow or a ghost story. He couldn't even focus on Soleum's touched, emotional expression because he was actively fearing for his life.
Park Minseong's head began to hurt. There was an incredible difference between the Seo Hoyun of one video ago and the Seo Hoyun of now. He looked to the side and stared at Hoyun's profile, then back to the screen, back to the ice-cold expression of the real person, then back to the screen. Was there secretly... Two Seo Hoyuns?
Seeing Kim Soleum tearing up due to Hoyun's gestures, Jiwon couldn't help the humourous musing passing his mind, the 'what if he was tearing uo because Hoyun never did anything substantial' type of wonder that made him almost laugh. He knew the actual answer was just the thoughtfulness, but it was the funnier answer in his head.
-[Hey. Stop tearing up.]
-[Seriously. I didn't actually mean anything special with it.]
Right. And there was one of the reasons Sunghyun could never bring himself to actually dislike Hoyun, with everything he pulled and did regularly. His casual way of care, his kindness that shone even when hidden behind a scowling face.. really....
That was so hyung-like. Dajun nodded his head. It was so obviously Hoyun to do something special and brush it off, pretending it had been nothing. If given a few minutes and no pressure, Dajun could probably name at least five incidences where something similar had occurred.
Youngeun felt herself tearing up as well. It made so much sense for Hoyun to be a tsundere, that the moment it hit her mind, it felt like she'd been enlightened all again. She nodded for no particular reason, yes, she had a small preference for tsunderes, the ones who care for you secretly while trying to deny it and got you gifts with feeble excuses cause they didn't like their love being totally completely acknowledged... yeah, call her a loser, so what! She doesn't care, she can love her tsundere men and women however she wants!
-[It looks perfect. I'm going to carry this with me everywhere.]
-[You even got the name tag on it right! Seriously, Hoyun-ah, how much time did you spend on this?]
Lee Seonghae almost teared up. That was a very good thing of Hoyun to do! To note Soleum's interests and make something specific to them specially just for him. Yes, she concluded and confirmed that while Hoyun wasn't the best, he was still a Good Person. He was not as good as Kim Soleum, but she would let him survive when the time came.
Attention to detail was important... Haje was surprised to see that a lot of dedication had gone into something like that.
-[Just..]
-[A few weeks.]
-[Your birthday was coming up.]
What should he think or do.................. Park Minseong no longer felt worthy to be Kim Soleum's supervisor(?) or fellow team member. He couldn't understand a thing about Soleum's partner, nor did he actually know Soleum's birthday. Putting aside the fact that Soleum himself never mentioned his birthday or made an effort to celebrate it, Minseong should have at least done something, as his senior, to remember and such.....
His birthday. Jaekwan didn't know Soleum's birthday. He froze slightly, had it really slipped his mind to ask? No... He HAD asked, multiple times before, but the question would always drift off in one way or another before he could get an answer. Either by Soleum's own efforts to change the topic, or a sudden event or crisis that changed the priority from one thing to another. Jaekwan frowned, why was Soleum so averse to celebrating his own birthday? Was it due to the trauma of Darknesses? Something else?

Saheon felt a strange, strange gaze on him that disappeared quickly. He didn't look over to question Youngeun's satisfied expression, deciding it better for his mental health to ignore whatever was going on with her and her mind, and holding back a nauseous retch at what nonsense was spilling out of Kim Soleum's dreaded, disgusting mouth of evil.

That's a tsundere! Choi didn't exactly enjoy tsunderes, but he didn't not like them either. They were cute when written well, but in real life... He ends up thinking that'd just be abuse. Hah. The way he saluted half-jokingly, but followed Hoyun's words easily.. the two were practically destined by this point, even if Hoyun probably increased Soleum's blood pressure by a large factor.
Whew, Ichae didn't know it was possible to flirt with Hoyun like that. He'd always been under the impression that it'd get you flayed alive, maybe because of his regularly untouchable I-don't-feel-anything aura. He shrugged that away.
