Chapter Text
I look into the mirror –
see only you.
I am no kind of hero,
just passing through.
My efforts to conform
are botched to hell.
My longing to atone's
a fairytale.
My pain is self-inflicted
up to a point:
it's weirdly addictive
and disappointing.
I hate your equilibrium –
it could've been me,
but I am just delirious
from fevered dreams.
Your crimes are beautiful,
don't mind complaints:
my preaching may be dutiful,
but I'm a fan.
I tried to find my place
under the sun,
I thought there's no one else,
I must comply.
But then there's you,
your lust for life –
no strive to rue,
just to survive.
A funny thing –
your hedonism:
art's everything –
folks are beneath.
I hate your cockiness,
but love your style,
can't keep my poker face,
when you're beside me.
Your voice is in my head –
my savage streak:
I'm in your 'spider web' –
another pig.
Or not? It's strange:
you let me live –
you turn this page
and change the script.
What's up, mon cher?
Why second thoughts?
You hate to share
what's claimed as yours.
Man, I don't mind:
do what you must.
I'm not that righteous –
it's in the past.
I look into the mirror
and see myself,
no shame nor fear –
I am content.
It's thanks to you,
my Lucifer.
They'll call me Judas,
but I don't care.
