Chapter Text

Emilia's strength was unreal as she dragged Priscilla. They dashed through the hallways, Priscilla stumbling mid-step “Hey, slow down a little”, she complained.

But Emilia just giggled, kept walking in her own pace, “We are about to be there just a little more, She assured, turning her face with a smile like no other.

Priscilla, gritting her teeth, looked away, closing her eyes, and just kept following Emilia's call.

Frederica and Petra, working in one of the rooms, were able to hear giggles and loud chit-chats. “The manor seems awfully noisy today,” Frederica thought, looking at the door. She walked closer, trying to see who was up to such a commotion.

She slowly opened the door, “waah!”

Both of them screamed at each other, “Emilia-sama, no running in the hallway!” Frederica yelled, stepping back.

“Ah, sorry, Frederica, I'll make sure of it” Emilia waved back while still running.

“Such unbecoming for a lady”, Priscilla spat “, hmph!”

They halted in front of the big window, which displayed the huge garden of the mansion. Emilia, frantically pointing outside, yelled, “Look, look! Isn't this view amazing?”

Priscilla, fixing her dress and hair, spat, “Eh... you're unbelievable.” She wondered in the back of her mind what Emilia's goal could possibly be.

“Ah!” And then, a hypothesis clicked in her mind.

Putting her hand over her mouth, “Wait, could it be...” She gave a blank stare at Emilia, whose expression was completely empty and dumbfounded.

“Does your stomach hurt?” Emilia asked, but Priscilla completely ignored it.

“Could it be that she realised my plan and she is pushing me away?” Priscilla focused closer on Emilia's face.

“Are you hungry?” Emilia asked again, with her hands raised in front of her.

“There's no way this creature has the concept of intelligence in her.” Priscilla turned away, scratching her chin as she tried to calculate the possibilities of what could be the case here.

“No way! It's that pig, isn't it? He must have timed it well so he could use the half-devil to persuade me away.” Clenching her fists together, she fumed with rage. “Curse you!”

Then, she drew a confident expression on her face. “All good!”

“No need to fret over such small things. I need to lose this half-devil and tail him.” She looked back at Emilia before finally accepting her next course of action.

Meanwhile,

“Aldebaran-kunnnnn~ The weather seems wonderful today,” Roswaal said, sipping on his freshly brewed tea.

“Yea, I agree, Roswaaaa—”

“Sir Roswaal,” Aldebaran chimed in, entering the pointless conversation just trying to buy time.

And then, there was silence.

Schults looked at both of them, confused. “Adults are weird,” he thought.

Schults walked out of the room.

“Hahaha~” Roswaal laughed out loud.

“Hahaha,” Aldebaran joined in.

Schults, tiptoeing slowly, slipped through the door. “Priscilla-sama...” he called out in a voice barely louder than the sound of the wind.

“What is a little brat like you doing sneaking around?” Ram stood behind him, her arms crossed together menacingly.

“Aaaa, ummm,” Schults tried to find reasons, but at that moment, everything washed away from his mind.

He stood stiff. Flick!

“Ouch!” Schults held his forehead, yelping in a stinging pain.

“Phew. So you seem to have learned how to speak, then why such a big hold-up?” she asked.

“Hm, um,” he still stuttered.

Schults just dashed away, running from her. “Oi, stop!” Ram ran behind him.

Meanwhile,

“You see, Ram makes the best tea, and it's not just tea, it's absolutely divine! Something you would never have tasted before if you never tried. And, and then you also would like, love something that goes well with such a divine tea, you know? Yes, I knew it! Here comes Subaru, he makes such good snacks, aww, I can just eat them all day non-stop! And when he makes some for me, Beatrice steals a few, it makes me so mad, but honestly I can't be greedy, you see... Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah,” Emilia kept speaking and speaking, making frantic gestures with her hands as she went on about her whole day's schedule.

“Hmm, hmm, ehhhh...” Priscilla, completely lost, begged to be excused from this torture.

But she also didn't wish to alarm her or the others; she needed a plan to sneak away while the half-devil was lost in her own world.

Priscilla looked everywhere, trying to find an escape route.

“Wait, you!” a scream echoed from a distance.

“Hmm?” Priscilla looked toward the far end of the hallway.

“Hah, hah, hah,” Schults was running with all his might, completely out of breath.

“Schults? Why?” Priscilla was shocked.

Behind him was, “Stop!” Ram, chasing him from behind.

“Eh?! What is this situation?” Priscilla was completely confused.

“ₙₒ ᵣᵤₙₙᵢₙg ᵢₙ ₜₕₑ ₕₐₗₗwₐyₛ “ Behind Ram, a huge stature, her body swayed left to right as she ran, eyes glowing a bright emerald.

“Eek!” Schults increased his pace.

“What!” Priscilla reached out her arms to catch him.

Behind him was Ram, and behind her was Frederica.

“Priscilla-sama!” He jumped mid-air. Priscilla grabbed him, backing off from the path of the storm.

“Wa—” From Ram's vision, Priscilla dodged. All she saw was Emilia, who was still in her own world. “Blah... blah... blah.”

“Emilia-sama!” Ram jumped. Emilia caught her effortlessly in a princess carry.

“Hmm? A wild Ram caught,” she smiled.

“Thank you,” Ram addressed her.

“You won't get away!” Frederica closed the distance at full speed.

“AH, WAIT, WAIT!” Emilia yelled as Ram prepared for the collision.

BAM!

Priscilla managed to escape with a smile on her face. She swiftly looked for Subaru.

She held Schults hanging from her shoulder as she dashed.

“There? No...” She looked into every room.

But nowhere was Natsuki Subaru. The sun was slowly setting, marking the close of the day.

“Haah, there's no use...” Priscilla's walking speed slowed down; she felt slightly demotivated.

“Look, look!” Schults pulled her cheeks, trying to grab her attention, but she was lost in her thoughts.

Slowly, she looked up in the direction where Schults was pointing.

“Huh! Natsuki Subaru!”

She ran with a close to inhumane speed towards him.

Subaru Natsuki stood in front of her, completely unaware of the calamity that loomed over him.

Will he be able to survive? Find out next in….. The Sun Princess and the Mean-Eyed Boy
