Chapter Text
Morning comes, blue birds chirp in the trees, a quiet morning.
It has always been quiet since her death.
Who knows if it was just because of her, or even just Pure Vanilla noticing this now? Tired as ever, since he just woke up, it seemed like it was going to be a rough morning for him. It was as if he never woke up from his original dream, waking up into a new dream.
Why does life feel like this? Like a show? Was this Shadow Milk Cookie’s foolery again? Oh, if only that was a possibility… Pure Vanilla tried to cling onto that theory, but it didn’t work. Shadow Milk had a different motive now. He was not important right now.
Pure Vanilla drags himself out of bed, thinking he needs fresh air, and some sort of social interaction. Right now, he isn’t worried about looks, not that anyone would care anyway, everyone was mostly worried about Pure Vanilla, and how he locked himself into isolation.
…
Wandering around the kingdom in a disheveled state, everything still doesn't feel real. He tries to talk to the other cookies, but the worry is visibly etched on their faces. A kid tried to talk to him, but it did not go very well. A merchant tried offering fruit, seeing his pale state. It turns out he forgot to eat. Silly cookie. He takes the fruit, but doesn’t eat.
As Pure Vanilla stashes the food away, he heads to see the cream sheep first. After all, they had always given him comfort, even as a child. Walking towards the herd of pure fluff, his mind is a little less heavy. The herder, seeing him, gives a soft smile at Pure Vanilla.
Pure Vanilla returns a tired smile back, he had been through quite a lot lately, but seeing these cream sheep seemed to be doing something to him. He reaches out to one of the sheep, petting it and feeling it’s soft fur against his dough.
Soon after he played with the sheep, he soon walked away with a goodbye to the herder, soon heading back to the lily garden. It was as if he could not get enough of her, even when she was alive, Pure Vanilla did not think it was enough. Who could blame him? He never really got to confess his love…
It wasn’t soon after arriving at the lily garden before something was hurled at him? Pure Vanilla scrambled to pick up what was thrown at him, and it was a… raisin..? He looks up, only to find Black Raisin Cookie staring at him, with an unimpressed but more of a disappointed look.
“God, you're so predictable. Did you eat anything?”
“Yes, I did, why?”
“Liar. Eat the raisin.”
Pure Vanilla reluctantly nibbles at the raisin, wondering how Black Raisin Cookie knew he hadn’t eaten. Black Raisin gets a whole bag of raisins out of what seems like thin air, thrusting the bag towards Pure Vanilla.
“You better eat at least a quarter of the bag. You need to eat something before you pass out.”
“I know, it's just with the recent events that happened, it's really hard for me to focus…”
“Focus?! Alright, that's it. You’re coming with me to the Inn.”
“No really its fi-”
And then Black Raisin grabs Pure Vanilla by the wrist, dragging him towards the Inn.
“Don’t argue with me, you clearly need supervision, tell your castle you're gonna be gone for a bit.”
