“Did our underdog just breathe fireeee?”
Present Mic’s and the audience roars all faded into the background. All I could focuse on was Shouto’s shocked look.
“If you want my flames, then you’ll have to use yours first!”, Shouto shouted. I slowly got back on my feet wiping my mouth with the back of my hand before looking up at Todoroki. “It’ll be my pleasure Todoroki!”
After that we both ignited our flames.
His were much stronger of course since I’ve never even used mine before. Before I knew it, I was slammed into the wall due to an explosion because of the temperature dropping. The last thing I saw before blacking out was his face. Grinning. The emotionless heir of the number 2 hero grinning.
I woke up back in recovery girl’s station with a worried Uraraka and Iida staring at me. “Deku what even was that fight?! You can spit fire now?!” “I- it’s” “Midoriya, hiding such a strong power will take a toll on your health!”, Iida scolded me, accentuated by his hand chops.
“ I- it’s just… complicated?”, I started before I averted my gaze. Ochako sighed and put a hand on my shoulder. “Its okay, you can tell us when you’re ready. Just don’t keep anymore secrets like that, ok?” “Thanks, guys”, I mumbled. “Uraraka, my fight is in a few minutes we should hurry! “, Iida said, before hurrying off, a giggling Ochako trailing after him. “Wait up!”
Then. Crash.
“Don’t worry young Midoriya because I am here! ”“A-All Might?!” “Yes, it’s me my boy!”, All Might exclaimed, „You did an amazing job out there!” “Thanks All Might…I’m sorry” “Sorry for what?” “For lying to you” “Oh, you mean the fire breathing thing? Well, I’m sure you had your reasons” “But I still lied to you…My biggest Idol” It was silent for a moment, until the number 1 hero slowly reached out his hand to slowly pat my head. “Hey, so you lied one time. Everyone lies sometimes. Even so you helped that Todoroki kid to overcome his trauma and probably yours too. Everything’s all right now, you’re safe here” After him saying that I can’t help but hug him (the best I could with two broken arms) and sob into his chest. “Sh, sh, it’s okay kid”
“Are you two done soon? I still have to operate the child”, Recovery Girl told us off while poking her stick at All Might. With no other choice Al Might reluctantly left the room, leaving me with the feeling that I’ll be fine.
And Shouto will be fine too.
Shouto’s P.O.V:
As I sat down in the waiting room, I couldn’t stop staring at my hand. I defeated Iida with a sneaky trick without my fire, but I can’t stop thinking about him. Is it his father too or his mom? Guess he’s not All Might’s secret love child after all…Unless…
Suddenly the door bursts open. “Huh? The fuck you are doing here”, Bakugo shouted before checking the door again, “Oh fuck this is waiting room 2”. Since I’m not in the mood for a talk right now, I ignore him. He does not take that well.
“Okay, so I was in the door but that’s not how you treat your final opponent huh?”, he yells at me letting out an explosion on the table (poor table), “I’m fucking talking to you Half ‘n Half!” “Midoriya…has he always detected and tried to solve? You’ve known him for a long time don’t you? And did you knew about his fire-“ “JUST SHUT IT SHITHEAD”, he again shouts at me whilst kicking the table (again poor table), “I DON’T CARE ABOUT HIM OR YOUR FAMILY PROBLEMS! ALL THAT MATTERS NOW THAT YOU SHOW YOUR FIRE SIDE, GOT IT!?”
