Chapter Text
When Four opened his eyes the first thing he was a yellowish glow
“X…?” He whispered to himself, even if his voice was hoarse. “Is it really you..?” Was this it? Was he really saved? Surely it was too good to be true.
X stepped closer to Four with a big smile that could make his heart burst with how ecstatic he was. Four reached his hand to grab X, to feel them, their soft, warm hands, their squishy texture that squeaks when you squeeze too much, their…uhm. Four grabbed X’s hand but they didn’t react. X actually hadn’t said anything.
Something was wrong.
Four pulled his hand away and moved backwards. That’s not X. Is it? It looked like X but something was wrong. “X’s” hand was cold, I mean that was to be expected, it’s space after-all but it was like ice. “X” was too ridged, too stiff, their pupils were too small, their color was just slightly too orange, one of their eyes was sagging downwards, their smile was too wide.
that wasn’t X.
Four slid backwards more but jumped when he realized he was already backed up against the moons walls. That “thing” walked closer, and closer, closer until it was close enough to whisper right to Four. It began to speak
“you’re hopeless, no ones coming for you. not for everything you’ve done to everyone around you. pencil, one, two, even me. you’ve hurt me, why should you even be saved at all?”
It was sickening.
It sounded exactly like them. But before Four could even process what was said. That thing pounced of him and clawed down his chest. Four tried everything, kicking, punching, even biting, but it didn’t move. “X” starred and smiled at him one last time.
Four woke up.
Four shot up from where he was sitting and started patting down his chest, there was nothing there but the clothes he wore on the faithful day although they were much dirtier now. He was left confused, a bit agitated and with a headache. It was a stupid nightmare, and it was affecting his stupid head.
X wasn’t here yet, that kinda sucked. Four wondered what they were doing, were they close? Had they even left Earth yet?? How upset were they by his sudden absence? Was X even still…alive?? Four did think about that whether he wanted to or not.
Four tried to get up and do something that could get his mind off the bad thoughts but his ankle made everything harder, so he slowly crawled of his knees, even though his knees ached in pain he crawled over to the drawings One had made. His eyes immediately went to X crossed out, it made him feel overwhelming anger. Anger of what One could possibly want with X, HIS X. Would she hurt him? Trap him? WORSE?? No, no, X is okay, X can defend himself. Four looked away, still upset but stared at all the algebraliens crossed out, Six, Nine, Eight, and a few others, even himself. Jeez what was her problem! He 100% believed he was doing the right thing, she killed Three!
She was the one in the wrong, not him!! She should’ve thought about her actions in here! Maybe he could too.
But before he could do anything else he felt the moon rumble, and suddenly…
*BAM*
The moon had a large crack in it
“Four..?”
He recognized that voiced..! His heart raced with excitement.
