The ‘Pre - fest’ passed on forward in the night as every other celebration that took place in the pack did. Wine, games and a huge warm bonfire.
The quick chatter of pups and adults now a loving blanket of mutters and whispers as the night grew darker. Everyone gathered around the fire to stay warm from the telltales of the harsh upcoming winter.
Sharing words of love and excitement for the upcoming and the biggest celebration of the annual Yellow Winter Festival.
And Suowei, who was gently guided into taking a seat on the comfortable, covered log seats by the pack ladies, watched from a distance as his Alpha spoke to the other female head Alpha.
The one with who their pack was merging with for the festivity.
Eyeing and acting to be as subtle as possible, trying to pay attention to the pack members trying to converse with him about his pregnancy. Wanting to advise and have a word with the Pack Alpha’s Omega himself. Cooing and chuckling as a dark crimson blush flush caught its way onto Suowei’s cheek.
Whether it was from their comments, compliments or attention, the Omega couldn’t tell apart.
Though as his slightly teary eyes wandered around the open space, his ears caught notice of the conversation happening to his right.
Two Omegas whose eyes were stuck upon the Pack Alpha as they conversed in animation with each other. Young and Naive, talking lively as they didn’t take realise that their conversation was accidentally being overheard.
“Ah, Pack Alpha is talking to Alpha Rui-he, I hope they are discussing about the great funds that will be going towards the delicious food during the festival—ah, I’m hungry just at the thought of it!!” One of the girl’s spoke out, voice whiny as she held onto the other Omega’s arm.
The tight clutch Suowei unconsciously had on his fur slightly unclenched, almost letting out a breathy laugh at the unserious, harmless conversation. Not thinking much of the talk, until—-
“Jokes aside….Pack Alpha and Alpha Rui-he look like such a powerful pair together, right? They kind of look good together, can’t wait to grow and see what more they have planned for our pack. Powerful and perfect in their merge...” The conversation blurred out the more Suowei strained to hear without being obvious.
His mind swirling as he placed his gaze on the said pair a little far, near the lanterns. Clearly visible but what they currently speaking of was still a mystery.
Rubbing a dainty palm on his baby bump, Suowei tried to not think much of it. He knew the conversation was harmless and naive, no hidden or discreet meanings.
However, his thoughts senselessly tuned out as he looked at his Alpha standing in the distance. Tall, handsome and body flexing with confidence and controlled nonchalance as he spoke to the other. Seeming to be in a strong, interesting conversation with the female Alpha.
And Suowei, who just experienced the way his Alpha countlessly took in his insecure episodes, just a few hours ago, knew better than to doubt him.
However, deep came the flashbacks of overheard conversations and jealous seethings.
‘I heard Pack Alpha was supposed to be engaged to Alpha Rui-he this summer—do you think he got over the infatuation he had for Omega Suowei? I saw the way Pack Alpha looked at him though… seems more than just a fleeting romance…’
‘Ah—what a pity, Alpha Rui-he is beautiful and impressive. The merging of our packs would be of such great benefit to both our packs. They would have such strong and capable pups too—‘
No.
Absolutely not.
Suowei knew those were just mere words uttered without care and consideration of the reality and truth.
He knew as of this moment he was truly and immensely loved by his pack.
He never doubted his Alpha as well, but watching him talk with the female Alpha masked with distance and the hush of conversation near him, made a light jealous twinge flicker in his chest.
This was his Alpha.
He was the one who carried this capable sires pup and love.
In and Out.
Suowei’s logical side knew he was being petty and that the Alpha was simply engaging in necessary interactions, but as he wrapped his forearm, gentle yet snug around the apex of his bump, he almost let out a low whine. His inner Omega begging to have his Alpha near him and not some other female, refusing to calm down.
Suowei took one deep breath in as he consoled his inner Omega.
‘That’s our Alpha—yes. But he has duties as well and right now he is doing his part of being the Pack’s Head Alpha.’
His own thoughts turning kind of sour and damp as he tried convincing himself. At the end of the day, he was the one always at the receiving end of Chi Cheng’s never ending adoration and care.
The one who carried the Alpha’s deep mating mark on his sensitive gland’s and the one carrying the evidence of their fruitful love right in his womb.
The one that was covered in the heavy, pleasant and utterly Alpha scent of his mate. Almost a brand against his skin, announcing everyone around him on whom the Omega belonged to.
Not to be messed with or hurt.
As if sensing his bothered Omega through their bond, Chi Cheng sharply turned his head towards his mate. Currently surrounded by chattering pack members. All bundled up and red from the warmth of the fire. His eyes twinkling as he too gazed right back at the Alpha, lips sporting an understated pout only Chi Cheng could decipher.
And Chi Cheng, halted mid conversation as he truly took Suowei in. The Omega’s now generous, swollen bump was prominent against his furs, cheeks filled soft and round with blush and glow. Lips slick with saliva as Suowei gently cradled his middle with both his palms. Enticing and almost luring the Alpha into his arms.
And oh—the satisfaction Chi Cheng got every time he took in Suowei’s delicate baby bump, curled possessive and smug. A dark shade of arrogance almost visible.
He did this.
His Omega was pupped, round and sensitive with young. If Chi Cheng wanted to, he would have the little Omega carry his litter forever. Glowing and dependent as he reached out and tuned into the Alpha for support and help.
A deep fantasy the pair shared since they were young adults. Whispering promises that one day the Omega would be having his seed deep in his womb until he carried as Chi Cheng pressed firm kisses on his then unmarked mating mark.
The promise sealed and now a reality right in front of his eyes, as the Omega looked up at him with big eyes from a distance.
His inner Alpha thrumming in gratification yet growling lowly for him to go near his mate as soon as possible.
Excusing himself from the conversation regarding the last minute paperwork requirements with Alpha Rui-he, he reached the Omega in 4 long strides.
Many around Suowei bowing and making way to a clearer path unconsciously so their Alpha could make his way to his mate.
Chi Cheng’s scent was controlled yet heavy in the presence as he gently helped Suowei up from the log cushions. His touch delicate and warm as he wrapped an arm around Suowei’s waist. As if touching something fragile.
Grounding the Omega and himself as he pressed his big palm on the apex of Suowei’s swell.
He spoke, “Tired, little Omega?” His voice- a volume only the other could hear. Suowei just lightly jutted out his trembling lip even more as he nodded. A little overwhelmed with the people and chatter of the ceremony that was nearing its end. Taking a hold of the other’s forearm, he leaned onto it.
Shy and now delighted as the Alpha excused the couple to retire into the night. Waving with bashful yet grateful movements as the couple made their way out.
Pack members bowing out of respect and love as they bid their farewell’s.
Now— completely alone to the mercy of his Alpha and the darkening night, Suowei pressed his side even more onto the Alpha. Seeking comfort and warmth. Chi Cheng smirking lightly as he watched the Omega practically cling and melt into his arm. His Alpha burning with love, wanting to protect and keep safe even more of the other.
“I had a lot of fun today…I am glad things are going as we wish them to, Alpha..” Suowei mumbled out in the air, slightly tired as he felt his back ache and his feet becoming even more swollen as he walked.
The Alpha simply hummed as he took notice of his drained Omega. Becoming more pliant and soft in his arms as they neared their home.

“Your back aches, my love?” He rumbled out as he helped the Omega out of his furs, Suowei’s belly sticking out prominently over the hiked up gown.
Suowei who didn’t realise how truly exhausted he was, nodded timidly.
Yet tip toeing up as he pressed a soft peck on the Alpha’s lightly chapped lips. His bump pressing safe and grounding against the Alpha’s own well built stomach.
The contrast of hard muscle pressing into his own plush bump almost sent a deep pool of heat swirling low in his cunt.
But with the clear exhaustion that revealed itself to the Alpha, he knew he had to give his Omega the rest he needed before his hormonal body conjured up them going further than Chi Cheng giving the Omega a massage.
Placing a large palm on Suowei’s lower back, he let their body’s touch as he kissed and coaxed the Omega in his comfort.
The night ending with them basking in each other’s love as they spent a few minutes making the Omega’s nest and giving him a soothing massage that instantly put the other to sleep.
Pressing a firm kiss to Suowei’s swollen middle and forehead, Chi Cheng too finally closed his eyes.
His hold on the Omega possessive and protective, all night long.
