Chapter Text
It's been a few weeks since she became part of the knights. In that week Willow learned two things, there was not one place to shoot a bow and that swordplay was difficult when everyone else has been learning for longer than she has. The grip was foreign for her and the weigh was a bit off balance in her opinion. Markus clearly disagreed with that as he took personal offense for some reason.
Speaking of Markus, he for some reason spent more time in the clearing then he did at this own estate. When Willow asked why that was she only recieved a shrug and that it felt more like home. The next question was why she still felt the need to hide her arms, which was fair.
It was one day when one of the soldiers aproached her with a letter, one sentence and he was gone. 'Give this to Druvis, he is at the estate.' It wasn't the first time she had to do curier work, however she usualy got more info then just a name. Well Markus is probably in his office so Willow decided to stop by first.
After a ten minute track through the eastate she reached Markus' office. For these past weeks Markus has said that all of his soldiers treat him as a friend first, so knowing that Willow knocked twice and didn't wait for an answer before entering.
'And that's why you want me to talk to her?' This was the first sentence that came from the room. It was said by a man familiar to Willow. She saw the man ince when she first came to the estate. The scar on his face looked like lightning struck him once. However at a closer look, you could tell the injury was not something so simple. It looked like it glowed a faint purple glow.
Before the man could follow up with his questions Markus motioned for him to turn fully. Once he layed eyes on Willow his mouth shut then opened again, then closed for good. Instead it was Markus who spoke. 'What do you need?' His voice was kind and for some reason fond. He didn't look like he was offended by her just walking in.
'I...I was asked to deliver a letter, but I only got a name...I don't know who Druvis is.' She didn't even look up while talking, an unknown person making ger nervous and making her unconciously tugging at her sleeves.
'Unfortunetly, you guessed where he might be. Allow me to introduce the high priest of our church and my brorher, Druvis.' Markus said with glee, it was almost like he wanted for this to happen. With the new information tucked away for now, Willow handed the letter to Druvis. 'I heard that the church helped others from the fire...are they well?' It was an inqury just to fill the space. However, as the priest took the letter he smiled warmly at her. She started heading out the door as he continued in a low voice.
'My new apprentice is one of the few who stayed with us. She has been asking about you. Something about pulling her out of punishments.' The next part was louder, directed at Markus. 'Next time my brother visits us, she must accompany you. Although our dear sister might already be back by then.' He spoke the last sentence like it would just fall on deaf ears as Willow left the room.
When she way back at camp everything went back to normal. Life continued on for another few weeks.
Then Markus and a few of his men received an invitation to help out with work at the church and Willow was one of the group.
