Chapter Text

About a week had passed since the realization had settled within Coy, and it certainly wasn't doing him any good. Despite trying his hardest to avoid Anthony at all costs, he seemed to be a reoccurring character in his life.
"Will, can I ask you something?" Coy says nervously, fidgeting with his sleeve. Will, nodding, tilts his head at Coy, following him off to another room. They had all been hanging out as a group at Hanbon's house. Both her and Will had noticed Coy avoiding Anthony recently, so they made the unjust move to not tell Coy he was coming to their hangout. Because of this, Will had a slight idea what Coy might be asking.
"What's up?" He asks, eyeing Coy, waiting for him to ask his question.
"What if I kind of sort of like Anthony? Hypothetically of course." Coy awkwardly laughs. That is not what Will was expecting.
Will stares at him, shocked. "Are you asking me if I would care, or what you should do about it?" Will waits a moment, "I don't care dude it doesn't affect me but if you wanna know what to do about it I'd ask Hanbon. She probably has better judgement to be honest." Coy looks off for a moment before coming back to the conversation.
"First off, I said hypothetically," Coy huffs, "Second, I can't ask Hanbon. She knows I've been avoiding him so she probably thinks I hate him or something. Plus he's like her best friend she'll probably tell him." He states solemnly. Will laughs at him obnoxiously. Coy rolls his eyes, crossing his arms and looking at the door before jumping back at a sudden loud ringing from his pocket.
"Jesus Christ." He mutters, pulling his phone out. Despite being fine seconds ago, he freezes at the name on screen.
"Why is Anthony calling you? He's literally a room away from us." Will says, clicking answer before Coy can decline the call.
"What the hell dude?" Coy sighs, putting his phone on speaker.
"Coy." Anthony says in an unusually serious tone. "Bon wants to know when you guys are coming back." He says, reverting to his usual tone of voice.
"We're coming." He hangs up the phone and looks at Will. "I think I'm gonna go home." Will looks at him confused before watching his figure leave the room, and exit the house without speaking a word to neither Anthony nor Hanbon.
"Will what happened, why did Coy leave?" Hanbon asks worriedly. Will shrugs before sitting back on Hanbon's couch.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Coy pants heavily as he reaches his doorstep. Running a mile and a half from one house to another isn't a fun activity. He unlocks the door, hurrying inside before running up to his room. He doesn't specifically know why he left. There's no particular reason except the fact he couldn't stand being around Anthony anymore. He's gotta do something about it soon or he's gonna have to start avoiding school and all social interactions until him of Anthony inevitably move to a different country. He knows that won't happen and it's not what he truly wants, but deep down, he's hoping it does so he doesn't have to admit his feelings.
A faint ringing from down the hall pulls Coy out of his thoughts. He pads down the hallway to the house phone in the kitchen, picking it up.
"Coy!" A very loud Hanbon yells into the phone.
Pulling the phone off his ear slightly, Coy begins to reply. "Hey Bon what's up?" He sighs into the phone. Hanbon giggles before answering.
"I know why you've been avoiding Anthony, and I know exactly how to help you!" Coy breathes in sharply.
"Damn it Will." He mumbles under his breathe. "How do you suppose you'll help me." He laughs lightly.
"Just wait and see!" She hangs up the phone. (635 words)

Notes:

I hope this wasn't bad, I've resorted to writing on my phone so my paragraphs don't get messed up when I transfer it from my computer!

Despite the fact this took a while im happy to be back to writing and I'm excited to hear what you think!

Sorry it was such a short chapter but again, I've been going through it lately, but to make up for it the next chapter will be a long one!

EDIT: it messed up my paragraphs anyways

Notes:

Cliffhanger!
I'm probably gonna post the next chapter in the next week or so but me and my brother are managing a YouTube channel and trying to get our first videos out so it might take a bit. Also apologies for any weird bits of text because when I transferred the chapter to my phone it did this weird copyright prevention thing so lmk if I missed getting rid of bits or if there's anything you wanna see in future chapters that I might could fit in (go subscribe to our youtube it's faangeelll.mp3)-(chapter title from stupid song by Olivia Rodrigo)
