Chapter Text
“Mum! Got the stuff that you wanted.” Hyuntak called out, taking his shoes off by the door. His mum had called him earlier to ask him to get a few items from the shops, telling him to hurry home soon afterwards. Hyuntak didn't further ask any questions, instead doing exactly as his mum had said so.
It's been a total of 2 and a half weeks after the sick Seongje mess. 2 and a half weeks since that conversation happened. 2 and a half weeks ever since Seongje softly touched his hand, asking Hyuntak to stay in that… soft and pleading voice. Now who could say no to that?
After Seongje got better, neither of them brought it up, opting to stay quiet about the whole fiasco. Even Hyuntak didn't tease Seongje about it once. Conflicting feelings surfaced each time he thought back to those moments. He tried not to think about it. Attempted to at least. But the conversation he had with Hyuna about him liking Seongje always played in the back of his mind. It's not like he hadn't thought about liking men. He was embarrassed by how many times he thought about the idea. But he knew he also liked girls. So that must mean he's bi right? Then again, he didn't really care who he was attracted to as long as they were a good person. Seongje didn't technically fit that mold. Sure he was attractive and shit- but he isn't really what you'd expect in a boyfriend. Right?
Bold. Scruffy. Rude. VERY aggressive. A borderline sociopath. Basically all the traits that you would want to stray from long term. Yet, Hyuntak had gotten so used to it over the years. Not minding it as much then he'd like to admit it.
“Okay Hyunnie, just put them in there!” His mother called out from inside the kitchen, mixing- something? in a bowl. “What are you making ma?” The boy asked the woman, plopping down the bag on the counter. She happily took it. “Carrot cake! I thought I'd try something new out on my day off.” His mother happily explained with a big smile, taking out the ingredients from the bag. That would explain all the frosting and shit he was told to get.
“Do you need help?” Hyuntak asked his mother again, walking around the counter towards her. “Ah don't worry about it, I'm almost done here anyways.” She reassured him, putting the dry ingredients into the wet batter. “But if you could, I would appreciate it if you get started on the icing mix while I put these in the oven? Thank you.” Hyuntak nodded in agreement, fishing out another bowl from the cabinets. He set it down before grabbing everything he needed. Fortunately, his mum had decided to print a copy of the carrot cake recipe she was following, laying it at the far end of the kitchen table. Hyuntak could cook but he wasn't the best at baking. A few failed attempts of baking with Seongje told him so. (Or maybe it was just because Seongje was there. Who knows?)
It only took a total of 5 minutes before Hyuntak was fully done with his task, leaving the icing out covered with clean wrap. The cakes were already in the oven by then so he helped with the cleaning up process. The hardest part of cooking/baking in his ‘professional’ opinion. They were able to quickly get it done since there were two of them, the cleanup finished in under 10 minutes. The cakes still needed time to rise so Hyuntak decided to go back to his room, his mother staying in the living room. He first checked his phone and responded to everyone's messages, doom scrolling on tiktok in the meanwhile.
When the cake was done Hyuntak took them out, taking the casings off to allow them to cool down. When his mother thought they were suitable enough she cut the middles, leaving them with 4 cakes now. Grabbing an icing bag, Hyuntak scooped dollops of icing in them, making two. He then passed a bag to his mother and started icing one cake while Hyuntak tried doing the same.
Whenever his mother baked she always made extra to give out to people. Co-workers, friends, neighbours, whatever. And whenever she baked they always came back for more, saying how delicious the baked goods were. It made Hyuntak all the more proud to have a mother like her.
“Ahhh Hyun-sweetie, not too much icing now. We want it to be even when we put on the other cake layer.” Hyuntak's mother pointed to a particular spot that was clearly overfilled. “oh, sorry ma,” Hyuntak gave an apologetic smile. She laughed, saying "Don't worry about it dear, just use this to spread it around.” she passed a cake scraper to her son, going back to her own cake and gently placing the other cake layer on top. Hyuntak nodded and got back to work. Attempting not to fuck up his own work.
10 minutes later
“And we're done!” His mother called out, putting down all her tools and taking a step back to admire her work. Hyuntak did the same, looking down at both their cakes. It was very clear who had more of a artistic talent then the other.
Hyuntak's mother clapped her hands together, a grin on her face. “Ah! They look so good!!” She excitedly took out her phone to take a photo, showcasing both cakes in it. Hyuntak also decided to take a photo. Of his mother's cake though. His one was a little wacky…
He sent it into the group chat with Baku, Sieun and Juntae. None of them were actually online at the moment but oh well. They'll see it at their own times.
He didn't even realise his mother had taken a slice out, carefully placing it on a plate and bringing out two forks. “Here,” She passed along the fork to Hyuntak who looked up, putting his phone back in his pocket. “let's dig in!” she exclaimed as she got some cake on her fork, making sure to get every layer. Hyuntak did the same and they both raised their forks, bringing them together like you would with shots. However, instead of alcohol they were stuffing themselves with cake, cake that was sooooo fucking good.
Hyuntak hummed as he chewed, looking at his mother with his eyes wide open. His mother giggled at his reaction, her eyes almost in crescents. “This is soooo good ma!!” Hyuntak exclaimed as he went in for another bite, putting his hand under his mouth to catch the crumbs. He usually didn't like carrot cake but this was incredible. The woman smiled, “I'm glad you like it. It's my first time making carrot cake after all so I thought I might mess it up.” She said as she took another bite, just of the cake though. “Are you kidding me? Anyone would be glad to eat something like this!!” Hyuntak's loud but confident tone in his voice made his mother's smile shine brightly, her hand going up to pinch his cheek. “Aigoo, what am I going to do with you?” She remarked as if it was a bad thing. But her face was showing quite the opposite actually, that she was extremely pleased.
“Alright, you finish this slice and I'll pack some.” She took out some of their spare containers and started putting cake in them, Hyuntak drifting off to the side whilst eating his cake.
“Hyunnie?” Hyuntak's attention immediately went to his mum. “Can you go and give this to your friend? Seongje.” His mother slid a container over the counter, Seongje's name scribbled on it. Or at least what Hyuntak thought it was. Doctors/Nurses handwriting. “Sure,” Hyuntak agreed as he hurried up eating the cake, going off to his room to grab his jacket. When he stepped out he saw his mum putting the container in a bag, holding it out for Hyuntak to take. “Thank you ma, I'll be back soon, See ya!!” Hyuntak waved off to his mother who returned the favour, watching Hyuntak turn the corner to the front door. He placed the bag to the side and slipped on his shoes, grabbing the bag again and his keys before heading out the door.
When Hyuntak stepped out he saw a kid on a bike pass by his neighbourhood with a friend, both laughing and yelling at each other. It brought certain memories to mind. Unfortunately… he didn't have enough time to reminisce.
—----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Seongje's pov-
Seongje was whistling to himself, walking with his hands in his pocket. Hyuntak had told him he couldn't hang out today because apparently he had stuff to do’ apparently. Whatever that may be.
So now he was alone with his thoughts, bored out of his goddamn mind. He could go beat up some kids? Nahhh. The hassle of finding some Eunjang’s to torment was already hard enough with most being smart enough to not wear their uniform correctly. Making them harder to spot in the distance. Plus, with Hyuntak being friends with Baku the fucker would probably go cry to him about Seongje if he dared tried anything to him. Or he would fight him. Now that would surely be entertaining.
But alas- The Union was slower then ever and Baekjin hadn't sent him to do any missions lately. He could go to the internet cafe… but his subordinates were also apparently ‘busy’ too. Seriously, why did it seem like everyone was busy today? And the only other entertaining person out there was also busy. so what the fuck should he do?
Seongje sighed. This sucks.
It was then he spotted a figure in the distance. ‘Blue jacket, pants, short hair, black bag, short hair and walks like he needs to take a shit? Yeon fucking Sieun.’ He immediately broke out into a mischievous grin, sneaking over in Sieun's direction. The other was alone which was strange considering the little brat and Baku wouldn't leave him alone. Looks like this is the perfect opportunity to shake things up a bit.
Swoosh! Seongje sent a kick when he was close behind Sieun, the other dodging it just in time. Sieun's eyes widened a bit and his face contained a bit of surprise, looking up to see his attacker. When he saw Seongje standing there with a grin on his face he instantly straightened up, his eyes narrowing. “I was wondering when I'd next see you, newbie! Just didn't know it'd be this soon.” He went in for another punch, Sieun dodging it once again. He was really good at that for some reason. The first time he even met Sieun was when he and Hyuntak had to do volunteer work at a museum, meeting him in a bathroom. His puppy never told him the reason why he had to do that but he found out nonetheless. Having something to do with that Hyoman kid and the Eujangs. He also beat up that fucker for even attempting to mess with Hyuntak and him. Like- was he's stupid or something? And get this, that little shit wanted to join the union too. Hilarious.
He already had heard what Hyuntak did from other people but he still wanted to go after him. What can he say? Killing one bird with 2 stones.
Seongje went to the museum for 2 reasons. A, he was sent there by Baekjin to check on Baku, and B. To watch Hyuntak wear a beggars outfit and take photos of him for his own personal gain. There he met Sieun, or ‘newbie’ as Seongje liked to call him. He had to admit, the kid has good senses and a wicked fighting instinct. (Even though he only fought Seongje on the rooftop.) He was going to stab Seongje in the foot with his glasses at one point had it not been for Hyuntak pulling him away in time! The guy was on the other side too, pushing Seongje out the way just a second early. It was probably one of the most adrenaline pumping moments of his life!!
Now newbie was staring at him with those eyes. “What do you want Seongje?” He asked, his voice low and monotone. To be fair, he always sounded like that. “Nothing~ can't a man just say hi to his good pal? Besides, where are you other little friends? Hm?” He sounded like someone trying to reconnect with an old friend but his face said otherwise, a weird glimmer in his eyes. “They're busy and we're not friends.” Sieun stated, (which was true) as he began to move again. Seongje was not having it though.
“This little… why is everyone so busy today??” Seongje huffed and muttered under his breath as he hurried up to Sieun, putting his arm out to block the way. Sieun slowly turned his head up to look at the guy, glaring at Seongje. “Move.” Sieun spoke in a warning tone, Seongje wasn't listening though. “Nahhh, where you heading to?” he questioned, tilting his head to the side. He didn't get an answer for a straight minute and Seongje was really starting to get irritated. About to open his mouth to say something, Sieun beat him to it. “Cram school.” He finally answered after what felt like forever, his voice seemingly bored like he would rather be anywhere but here. Seongje scoffed and rolled his eyes, saying “of course you're one of those kids who willingly go to crappy places like those. Come with me. I'll take you somewhere wayyy better,” in confidence and wrapping his arm around Sieun's shoulders. The other stiffened at the sudden contact, looking at the arm around him like it burnt.
“Take your arm off. I have to leave.” he bluntly reprimanded, not even acknowledging any of Seongje's words. How rude!!
“Nope! I'm bored and you're coming with me. Who cares if you miss one day.” Seongje then used his arm to bring Sieun's head closer. “Plus… you're a friend kinda guy right? You wouldn't want anything bad happening to them, do you?” He whispered slowly in the other's ear, watching his reactions. A smirk grew on his face at Sieun's shoulders tensing, fists clenched at his sides and his gaze tight on Seongje. He knew he got him there.
Sieun only gave a one word answer, which was “fine.” before tugging Seongje's arm completely off his shoulder. This time the latter let him, not bothering to put it back on. Newbie was too short anyways. It didn't feel right somehow.
None of this would've happened if Hyuntak wasn't busy.
—----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“This is your idea of fun?” Sieun suddenly spoke out of nowhere. They were both sitting outside of a nearby convenience store, Seongje eating ramen while the shorter one was left unattended. The asshole didn't even pay even though it was his idea.
Seongje slurped at his noodles and chewed a bit before talking. “Mhmmm! Why? You're not having fun?” Seongje questioned as he took another bite, Sieun silently judging him for his poor table manners. “No.” Sieun answered soon after, eyes boring into the other. Seongje looked up from his noodles, looking at Sieun's still full bowl. He pointed his chopsticks to it. “Eat, it's gonna get cold otherwise.” He honestly didn't really care. Shit, he would eat it for Sieun if he didn't want it.
Sieun looked down at his bowl, the one he had to pay for himself, and then at the taller, watching as Seongje went to open his drink. He simply let out a short and deep hum to himself before taking his own chopsticks and poking around in his ramen. He took a bite, the flavour instantly hitting his tongue. They sat and ate there in silence, a looming vibe over them.
“So.” Seongje began, wanting to see what reaction he would get this time. “How's your coma boyfriend doing?” That question made Sieun instantly freeze mid bite, his eyes angrily snapping over to the other man who was smirking. That clearly struck a nerve. He knew Sieun would react strongly to the mention of Ahn Suho but not this much.
Surprisingly though, Sieun didn't say anything about it. Instead he said this-
“How's your boyfriend doing?”
Now. Of all things Seongje has expected to come out of Yeon Sieun's mouth he never expected it to be that.
“What do you mean?”
“I'm asking how he is. Hyuntak.” Like Sieun had to repeat himself in order for Seongje to get it. Of course he did. He isn't an idiot.
“And what makes you so sure we're dating?” Seongje crossed his arms, leaning back in his chair. “You're not denying it.” Yeah cause what's the point? “What's the point? You sneaky little Eunjang bastards always seem to know what's up anyways.” Seongje insinuated, taking a sip of his drink. Sieun on the other hand continued observing Seongje, the other guy getting annoyed again. “You seriously have a staring problem, you know that?” He complained before flipping his chopsticks up at Sieun. “Look away before I really gouge out your eyes myself,” he declared before laughing to himself, going back to eating.
“Is Hyuntak some sort of game to you?”
‘What?’
“What?” Seongje looked up, actually confused for once. “Do you actually like him? Or are you just stringing him along?” Sieun elaborated so the latter would get it. But it didn't feel like that to Seongje, his thoughts still running all over the place.
‘Pause. Him? String Hyuntak along? Oh please.”
Seongje laughed at the absurdity, banging his hand on the table as he pleased. Sieun didn't look amused though, looking at Seongje like he'd gone mad. Which is mostly true.
When he finally calmed down he looked at the other, his face contorting into a serious one. “Yah.” He leaned in over his arms, closer to the shorter guy. He spoke in a low and stern voice. “I didn't spend years pinning over the same fucker since I was 11 just for someone who hasn't even known him for half a year to tell me I'm faking it.” He spoke in a deep voice through gritted teeth. His face was tight and it was like his eyes were pitched black. If you wanted to see what angry Seongje truly looked like this was it. A scary sight to behold.
Luckily for Sieun, he wasn't afraid of Seongje. If he was, he wouldn't even be asking questions like these in the first place.
“I see.” Sieun noted, nodding along. Seongje stared at the other in silence for a bit before eating the rest of his food. He then heard a ding sound from his phone, checking it mid chew to see that it was a notification from his dearest puppy. Oh yayy!! “Got to go, something came up,” Seongje quickly finished his drink and threw the can and bowl into the bin, standing up. Just as he was about to leave the shaded seating area he stopped mid step, turning his head around. “Don't tell Hyuntak about anything we discussed today. Or anyone for that matter. I'll kill you if you do.” He smirked when he didn't get a response, instead just a stare, doing a mock salute with 2 fingers at the other. “See ya newbie!”
Sieun stayed still for a few moments, watching Seongje turn a corner. When he was sure Seongje was out of sight he flipped up his phone screen up, not facing table surface anymore. “Does that answer your question?” he acknowledges to the two faces on his screen at that moment. “Oh my God… you were right Juntae!!” Baku on the other end of the call screamed, his face filled with mortification. “I told you so! The looks they gave each other while we were walking home was NOT friendly in the slightest.” Juntae's voice came out as well, adjusting his glasses on camera.
“I ONLY THOUGHT THEY WERE JOKING ABOUT BEING TOGETHER! WHO WOULD WANT TO DATE SOMEONE LIKE THAT BASTARD?!!”
“The power of Yaoi….”
“THE POWER OF WHAT??”
“Can I be excused now?” Sieun's voice suddenly broke out, stopping the other two conversations. “I don't know why you even asked me to put you on call.”
“Well becauseeee, we needed you to be our eyes and ears. We needed to confirm it!!” Baku’s answer came quickly, Juntae nodding along. Sieun softly rolled his eyes, reminded of his past friends' shenanigans.
Well, now that's out of the way that certainly changes a few things. Sieun is not the best at love but they would all definitely need to talk to Hyuntak about his relationship with Seongje sooner or later. For now though Baku and Juntae are freaking out too much.
Sigh. If only Suho was here.
—---------------------------------
Hyuntak was on his way to Seongje's house, bag in hand. There wasn't much to do until he got to the other's house so he decided to put some music on in his walk, taking his ear buds out since he didn't have his headphones. He put his hands in his pockets as music filled his ears, cars and passerbys going by. He was stopped a few times as some of the aunties from food shops and neighbours said hi to him, falling into mindless chatter with them. It was nice. It took his mind off stuff. Especially knowing those old ladies were doing good.
Nonetheless, it seems like nothing can ever truly be good.
Hyuntak heard some noise coming from an alleyway, slipping off one of his ear buds to hear better. It sounded like people talking, or well- more so yelling. He could've left it alone but…
Who was he kidding? He's an idiot.
“Yah!” Hyuntak called out, three figures catching his eye. Three older guys and… Seongje?
“Je? What the fuck are you doing here?” When he got closer he could see that Seongje's cheek was pink, meaning someone hit him. Was it these guys? “Gogo. What are you doing here?” Seongje just flipped the question onto him! The bastard. “Answer me first bastard, I was just in the area when I came across… this.” He glanced back and forth between the three men as if to make his point. “Get lost kid, this doesn't concern you.” One of the bigger guys said, “yeah!” The other spoke as well, however, Hyuntak didn't even know who was who because he was too busy paying attention to Seongje, scanning him with his eyes. He fixed his gaze at the men afterwards to talk.
“Oh yeah? Well if you're involving my friend then it is my problem,” he proceeded to say before his eyes went down and inspected the two men from head to toe (or toe to head,) surveying them. Fake designer shoes, loose clothing you would usually wear if you were going to the library or something, clean shaven, fresh haircuts and one of them had a tattoo on their arm. ‘College students? What the fuck are they doing here?’ Hyuntak thought to himself before he let out a huff, the corner of his mouth curled. “College students? Really? Couldn't find someone your own size to pick on? Hm?” Hyuntak mocked the other dudes, internally laughing when he saw their faces twist in fury. Even Seongje laughed under his breath from his position on the side. Usually taunting was a Seongje thing to do but it looks like he's rubbed off on Hyuntak.
“Stay out of this and we might just spare you.” The taller one of the three guys interjected, looking at Hyuntak who scoffed. He walked over to Seongje and grabbed his forearm, saying “let's go” as he started pushing him out to the entrance of the alleyway.
It was thanks to Hyuntak's quick reflexes that he was able to avoid the punch that was sent his way, separating himself from Seongje. “What the fuck…” The shorter dude stumbled a bit, losing his balance. Just before he could stand up correctly again Hyuntak seized the opportunity and sent a flying kick to the guy, sending him back to the wall. Seongje whistled with his hands in his pockets, watching the guy clutching his hip in pain. Hyuntak looked up at him with a smirk. “Let's all just leave this past us, hm? C'mon,” he asked Seongje, walking away. But it just seems like these people don't know when to quit.
He was just about to grab the bag with the cake that he placed on the floor until he heard one of the men speak.
“So this is the so-called, 'mad dog's' bitch huh? I honestly expected more.” The taller guy sneered and crossed his arms, a cocky look on his face. Seongje was so ready to leap onto the guy but was stopped by Hyuntak's hands on his shoulder, giving the other a look that said to ‘ignore it.’ However the guy just kept going.
“Tsk- Kids these days are so fucking arrogant. They have no respect for their elders and it shows.” The guy ranted as he rubbed his hand behind his neck, looking annoyed. Hyuntak was just going to continue walking but the other had said something that made his blood turn cold. “Had I known Hyuna's younger brother was such a faggot I wouldn't have let my homeboy anywhere near her.” Hyuntak stilled, his fists curling tightly. “What did you just say?” He asked, even though he didn't need to hear it again. “I said-” The guy began to repeat himself, “if I've known that Hyuna's younger brother was a fag-” he didn't even get to finish his sentence before he was soccer punched in his face.
Hyuntak crossed the walk in big long tides and punched the other guy like it was nothing, placing his hand on his shoulders to continue his assault. Hyuntak pummeled the guy's stomach until he couldn't even stand up any more, falling to his knees. His friend tried getting up and running over to them but was stopped by Seongje holding him by the arms, putting the guys arm behind his back so he couldn't move. “Nuh-uh-uh. You're going to stand there and watch like a good boy. Okay?” The manic look filled his eyes and face again, looking at the other with a grin. The guy tried fighting Seongje off but he was far stronger than him. Taller too.
When the other guy was on his knees Hyuntak gripped the back of his neck roughly, forcing his face to meet the floor. Then, moving his hand up to grip the man's short hair, he started repeatedly banging the man's head on the floor, blood coming out from his nose. The guy was begging, yelling, squirming and everything to try to get out. Yet Hyuntak just wouldn't budge, placing his knee on the man's back so he couldn't move. It was a messy sight to behold. The bigger man's friend scrambling off to the side, watching that happen to his friend in horror.
Hyuntak lifted the man's head up further, leaning in close to his ear. “If you're going to say shit you should be prepared to eat it.” He recited, banging his head a couple more times harder before getting up. He didn't turn around though and instead continued looking down at the guy like he was some sort of pest. He couldn't even get up.
The shorter guy in Seongje's brace tried running off again to help his friend but was shoved against the wall in return, roughly. “Don't ever talk about or touch him like that again. Or I'll fucking kill you, got it?” Hyuntak threatened, concluding his statement by bringing his foot down on the man's hand, twisting and turning it to make it hurt. The man on the ground screamed, his eyes shut.
Hyuntak then heard clapping sounds behind him, causing him to whip his head around. “Woohoo!!” Seongje cheered, “that was so hot.” He bluntly added at the end in admiration, the excitement in his eyes towards Hyuntak. That made Hyuntak suddenly come back to all his senses, the realization falling upon him. It also meant he really heard Seongje's words. “What the fuck?” He remarked, fully turning around. “You always have to ruin the moment, don't you?” he criticized, his cheeks burning. It also didn't help that Seongje was looking at him with that weird kind of glimmer in his eyes again. Like he was a painting worth a 1000 words.
“I'm being serious.”
“Yeah well you don't have to say everything you think inside that stupid head!”
“But you love it puppy.”
“NO THE FUCK I DON'T???” Hyuntak's cheeks were red at this point, the blush going down to his neck. He then walked over to Seongje and grabbed his wrist, ignoring the groans coming from the floor. They weren't important. “Let's just go…” he grabbed the bag again and hurried out of the alleyway, going in the direction of Seongje's house. Seongje let himself be dragged, a small genuine smile on his face while he watched the other.
When they arrived near Seongje's place they decided to sit on the stairs outside, both taking a seat next to each other. “So what did you want to talk abo-” Seongje didn't get to finish his sentence as a container was shoved in his lap, a fork on top. “Here. My mother made carrot cake and wanted you to have some.” he hastily explained while looking at the cake. Due to the... interruption, majority of the frosting had gone all over the container, leaving a mess behind. He looked up at Seongje to see that he was already looking at him with those eyes, finding it hard to look away from the younger. All Hyuntak's past thoughts and memories started flowing to him.
“Hm,” Seongje let out a hum after a few seconds, opening the container. He immediately started digging in, fork in hand as he scooped up some cake, not minding that the design was ruined. It didn't even matter because one bite in and he was already fucking moaning. “Mhmmm~” he moaned in satisfaction, eyes closed. “Stop moaning.” Hyuntak reprimanded, his face a mix of grimace and like he was trying not to laugh. It failed though. “What can I say? It's delicious,” Seongje double downed and took another bite, all while facing Hyuntak whose eyes glanced down at Seongje lips for a second. Only a second though. “True,” Hyuntak agreed and turned his head to look in front of him, observing the cloudy sky.
“Why were those guys after you?” Hyuntak asked, glancing at Seongje through the corner of his eye. The other huffed, a proud look on his face. “One of my sister's exes tried hitting on her again and taking her home whilst she was drunk. So I taught him a lesson.” Seongje revealed, lessening his movements as he explained. Hyuntak nodded, even though he was furious on the inside too. Who the fuck does that?
“And clearly he didn't get the memo.” He chipped in for Seongje. “Clearly not.” The latter continued, stabbing the cake again like it personally offended him. Although when he took another bite all the tension washed away, Hyuntak amused at the sight.
Hyuntak then had the sudden urge to do something uncharacteristic of himself. The need to be closer to Seongje taking over.
Hyuntak placed his head onto the latter's shoulder, leaning in closer. Seongje stiffened for a moment, only a moment though as he relaxed, some of the tension was still there. “Oh? What's this puppy? You're clingy all of a sudden.” He teased in a smug tone. “Shut up.” Hyuntak shut his eyes and snuggled in more. “You're just warm.” He insisted afterwards, even though the weather wasn't even that cold. Seongje didn't say anything though, his smirk turning into another genuine smile as he looked down at the other. He continued eating his cake with Hyuntak on his shoulder, watching cars go by on the road.
It was moments like this that gave the two of them the most comfort. No matter how much they both tried to deny it.
