Chapter 4: burn it all
Fire spirit looks up at the stars in the dark sky, then turns his head to look at the entrance of dessert paradise. The half dragon sighs and wings sprout from his back as he rolls his shoulders. "Here we go..." he mutters, turning back one last time to look at lychee- who was supposed to give him support. "Ah ha, yeah, you go girl." Lychee dragon cheers.
Fire spirit scowls and turns back again. "Shut up." He demands, losing his focus. He turns back, expecting a comeback, instead; there's quiet. But the thing that makes the fire deities breath catch in his throat is wind archer's voice. "Fire spirit...?" He says.
Fire spirit turns around, his eyes wide. Wind archer is standing behind them with a look of confusion. Lychee dragon chuckles with disbelief and pure chaos. Fire spirit pulls his wings closer to himself, as if trying to hide them. Wind archer's grip on his bow tightens and he steps back. "What is happening?" Wind archer asks, looking at the dragon that he has seen before.
Fire spirit's gaze stiffens and he gives lychee dragon and wind archer a look of annoyance. "Don't get in my way windy." He speaks, his voice dismissing. Wind archer doesn't back down; he steps closer, his bow slowly raising towards them. Lychee's puples slit and she steps in between fire spirit and wind archer. "You heard him; don't get in his way." Lychee says.
The wind deity points his bow fully at lychee but continues talking. "Why are you acting like this again?" Wind archer asks. Fire spirit spins around and truly looks at Wind archer. He struggles to get the words out for a second but then talks. "Lay off Windy. You're always trying to be in my business." He says.
Wind archer's eyes widen and he looks up at fire spirit. "Then what happened to 'visit more.'?" He asks. Fire spirit sighs. "Fuck off windy. Not now." Wind archer backs up from the dragon deity before his temper shatters and he grabs fire spirit by his shirt.
"Fuck you! I show up every time you need help and I let all of your bullshit slide and you tell me to fuck off and never talk to me!?" Wind archer huffs and yells at the now slightly shaking cookie. Fire spirit pushes wind archer off of him and he starts yelling too. "What do you mean every time? You barely show up at my worst! You're a stupid asshole that is cold and intrusive!" He says.
Wind archer stops and looks at fire spirit in the eyes, truly looking at him; not for his ego, but for truth. "Do you actually think that of me?" He asks his voice rough. Fire spirit looks at him with a strange calmness. "Yes. Every word."
Wind archer looks away. "Okay. Then I don't have to come back." He walks back into the forest not looking back. Fire spirit swallows and his heart rate rises. "Fine." He mutters under his breath.

The fire deity flaps his wings and sighs and Stormbringer rolls her shoulders and cracks her neck. "Dessert paradise only needs a spark and it will be up in flames." Fire spirit says with almost a hint of boredom in his voice. Stormbringer smirks. "And one strike from my heaven splitter will cut you in half:3"
Fire spirit smirks too. "Oh, how scary." He mocks her. Stormbringer cartoonishly pulls her bottom eyelids down. "Ha, then fight me, weakling!"
Fire spirit starts by pointing his staff at her and forming a huge wave of fire pooling towards the other deity. Stormbringer smiles. "Now we're getting started!" She yells and cuts the fire wave in half with her heaven splitter. The fire deity trys again by flicking his finger and sending another wave of inferno towards her. She dodges it and then sends her own attack.
It is a crack of lightning that nips fire spirit's hip and cuts into his flesh. Fire spirit looks sick and grabs his waist where the cut is; but he prevails, tossing a few balls of magma the size of a house at Strombringer. She trys to get out of the way, but as the lava surrounds her she ends up only dodging enough so that her torso, arms, and head doesn't get hit. Burn mark spread across her legs. "Hmph. Why are you fighting me anyway!?" She asks.
"It's for the dragons. They want me to burn dessert paradise to the ground!" fire spirit admits. Stormbringer smirks wider. "Ha, well I won't let that happen!" She says.
Fire spirit's eyes widen as a strike of lightning is getting fired at him. He looks in all directions but only sees more electricity making him unable to dodge. Crack! He coughs up blood as a bolt pierces a hole though his chest. "Oh, shit I messed up." He manages to say as he puts a hand on the cut.
Stormbringer's smile falters and she stares. "Are you going to die or something? I thought you were stronger then that." She says playfully. Fire spirit holds his staff up in the air.
"Nah I’m not gonna die yet." He huffs and his whole body engulfs in flames, burning his skin and transforming him. Stormbringer backs up a little, feeling the extreme heat. When the fire pulls back fire spirit's new form is revealed; the immortal catalysm.
Before stormbringer can think a wave of lava and fire sends her heaven splitter flying far away. "I will set EVERYTHING ablaze! Dessert paradise is only the start of my reign!" Fire spirit shouts. Stormbringer bites her lip, knowing that she is fucked without her heaven splitter. "Think, idiot! You will never be able to do that! You're too weak!" She tells him.
"But if I have five dragons by my side can I?" He asks while smiling evilly. Strombringer stops breathing for a second. "All five dragons?" She asks. "Yeah all of them." He repeats, still smirking.
Fire spirit flaps his fire wings and sends more fire at her, and without her heaven splitter it hits her harshly and she gets flung down to earthbread with a yelp. "Okay, I won’t have to deal with her for at least a few minutes..." he tells himself. With that he flys up to dessert paradise, trying to not be seen.
And after he finds a good flammable spot he flaps his wings again and sends a huge wave of fire at dessert paradise. He watches it as it burns, the fire spreading faster then anything can keep up. Longan dragon appears behind him. "Good job. I will deal with sugar swan and other stuff for now on." He says.
Fire spirit looks up at longan. "I'm not stopping at just this, I want to burn earthbread and start anew. Think about it, dragons will have a chance to reign again." He tells him with fire in his eyes. Longan stiffens. "What do you need?" The dragon asks.
"I need your help, to protect me from everyone who would like to stop me." Fire spirit says while still looking at the burning dessert paradise. Longan dragon pauses for a second before nodding. "
