Chapter Text
Red was finishing his homework when his Father barged in and scared the shit out of him, causing him to jump out of the chair once again… scaredy cat.
“Son, have you seen the news? There is a missing kid, I think it’s White if i remember—“
Then Red interrupted him.
“DAD! Knocking on the door does exist. And.. since when did White go missing? He usually stays alone yes— but he was at home just today! Wait. When did he go missing?!”
“I was about to answer that. He went missing just two hours ago, there was a break in. You can not keep interrupting me like that, son.”
Now his dad was scolding him. Right after saying his (kind of?)friend went missing.
Finally, after his dad left his room, Red turned on his phone and went on the latest news, which was about White’s kidnapping, of course. It started on other news about gas prices, some kid writing a book, and other things, but then it was White’s story. It started to explain that a maid from White’s mansion walked into the room, and saw White missing along with a broken window. It was all so sudden, but most likely White would be back after his parents buy a ransom money… right? Yeah! Of course he would be back, this is the fourth time already—Red was still surprised they didn’t hire a body guard or something. But then he heard the news reporter talk about how the maid saw blood, and itt was said to be White’s.. could it be that this person actually hurt him..? Of course not—it’s usually only kidnapping for money, and NOT about murdering him with no motivation besides his parents being rich as fuck!
But.. if White was dead— a ring of the door bell was heard before Red could finish the thought. He silently turned off his phone, not wanting to hear any more of the stupid news anyways. Then he got up from his chair, walking out his room, and went to the front door. When he opened it he saw an officer.
“Are you Red?”
The officer questioned sternly. Red silently nodding as a response.
“Do you know White? He went missing 4 hours ago.”
Red nodded again, he really couldn’t figure out what to say at that point, it was honestly mind bobbling to think about someone actually killing White.
“Where were you at 5 hours ago? And who were you with—if anyone was with you.”
Was the officer accusing him of KIDNAPPING WHITE?! Shit. Shit shit shit shit SHIT. Why the fuck would he do that anyways?! He didn’t even hold a grudge against the guy!
“I was at my.. in my room. I just learned by my dad that he went missing. I wouldn’t just try and kidnap White anyways!—We weren’t that close but am not crazy enough to just kidnap him—let alone hurt him!”
Red tried to defend himself, though it was honestly obvious that Red was more in distress, so the officer sighed quietly, and finally started to think Red wasn’t the kidnapper, but that didn’t mean he was still suspicious. Even friends could kidnap each other. Didn’t matter who, where, when, or why, they still could’ve done the crime no matter how close.
Eventually his dad came into the picture—which Red was very thankful for—and explained in a VERY detailed manner of how Red was in this house before and after White’s kidnapping, and how his son was not the type for kidnapping, even if Red hated White—which he didn’t—and yeah. I don’t know what else to do—
“Okay, Mr. Cherry, sorry for the inconveniences, I thank you for the corporation. Have a good night.”
The officer said in his still stern voice as he walked off back to his car. WOW! Red never expected his dad to be actually good at defending, let alone make a whole detailed paragraph about how he was safe from the kidnapping!
With Green, it was a little different story, a few hours before that and after Green returned back to his humble abode, he walked in humming a random song, made up of nothing but just instinct.. though it did sound like a song called ‘Eat you’ From the fun House(Totally not suggesting a banger song—) and took off his shoes. His house was a.. little religious per se, it had some books about some family ‘religion’, and of course some chicken pictures on the walls and figures on top of the fire place. As soon as Green started to walk again, his younger sister Olive came in rushing and hugged him, tightly, but expecting a hug back, which Green of course returned. Then his other little sister came in, she of course was glued to a book, and as soon as she looked up, she closed the book and had to rip off Olive from Green.
“Emerald! Stop being so mean I was hugging G!”
She yelled, of course she was mad that Emerald would do that.
“Well ‘G’ just returned home from high school. Maybe don’t panic and run to our older brother as soon as he gets inside. It’s a bad habit in where if someone else was standing in Green’s current position you would hug them instead.”
Emerald stated it like it was a fact.
«I WOULD NEVER DO THAT TO MY BRO! HE WOULD NEVER EVER BE ANYONE ELSE AND IT WILL STAY THAT WAY!»
Green had to bump in before anything got bad when his mother came in.
“My little worm! I’m glad you’re back, now you two stop fighting, your older brother just came home. Why would he want his two younger sisters fight already when he came home from his new school?”
The two girls apologized in union, of course in their own ways.
“Now Green, once you put your things away, you mind helping mama cook dinner? We’re having pork tonight,”
“Oh yes mama! I’ll come straight down after I put my bag away!”
Then of course after he put his bag away, someone throws a plush at him, specificity a certain Yellow ball. Then here came his younger brother, already teary eyed for a reason Green didn’t yet know.
“Why didn’t you tell me you were going back to school TODAY?!”
Well that explains it. Green didn’t even have to ask!
“Sorry Fern—I forgot to tell you, and you were asleep! I could wake up a little princess and his beauty sleep!”
He explained, with a little regret in his voice, he did feel bad, since Fern was a little clingy, and sometimes bullied by his sisters because he tries to get into anything those two do. And I mean anything. And those two don’t always like it, so they don’t allow him to join. Anyways Green cheered up Fern.
“Next time I’ll tell you, okay? I just didn’t want you to wake up especially with how tired you looked.”
“Fine.. but you better not do it again…”
Then Green went down stairs, with his pouting brother coming along too.
