Chapter Text

“So, you’re telling me that you went to chase the car? Akari, do you know how dangerous that was?”

“I know, but I couldn’t just let him go with her-”

“But what if he got you too?! Or worse, could’ve gotten you killed?!”

I look down in shame, knowing that she was right.

“Sorry Boomer”

“...Just be careful, Akari. I can’t lose you too.”

There was a long pause before, Boomer spoke again

“Did you tell your parents yet?”

“No, neither of them answered the phone. Usually, my mom answers right away.”

“Maybe they’re busy…?”

“Prolly… I’ll talk to you later. Bye” (A/N: Prolly not </3)

“See you soon”

I give the phone back to Edna, before looking down at my leg. She places the phone down, before looking down at my leg as well.

“I’ll try to do the best I can to get you back on your feet. Even though it will definitely take more than what I got to heal that up..”

Edna says as she rolled my pants up carefully. I watch her try to help me as much as she can. She takes one cloth, wiping it down to make sure nothing gets inside of the bandage with my leg avoiding infections. She then wraps around a few towels, before she looks up at Taylor. She whispers something to him, before he runs off. She stares at my leg with a sharp eye. A few seconds pass by, and he comes back with some folded newspapers. She measures it to line up with my leg perfectly, before she grabs bandages from her first aid. She wraps the bandages around the leg, then looks back at me with worried eyes, concerned if I was uncomfortable.

“I have to make sure that it’s not too tight, okay? It’s going to be weird, but it’s to make sure that you’re okay. Are you fine with that?”

I hesitated, but I nodded my head anyway. She takes off my shoe and sock, before pinching my toe. I don't know what that part was about, but she nodded her head, and put the shoe and sock back on. She then looks at me with soft eyes, before speaking with a much softer tone.

“I’ll take you home, do you know what your address is?”

As we drove to my house, Taylor was talking about his friend while petting Cookie. He explains how he was best friends with Cooper since they were 3, how cool his friend is, Cooper’s pet cat that is also his. But one thing had caught my attention. He told me that he hasn’t seen Cooper in almost a month, especially since Cooper’s birthday was coming up and a gift he wanted to give him. I felt bad, knowing what probably happened to the kid.

We get to the front of my house, and I see my mom’s car there. I felt relieved, knowing that my mom was home. Taylor helps me out of the car, helping me walk up the steps. I get to my front door, ready to knock on the door. But before I was able to knock on my door, the door creaked open. My mom doesn’t leave the door unlocked. I looked at Taylor with slight confusion and fear, but I walked in with him anyway.

“Mom? I’m home! I need to go to the hospital!...”

No response.

I look around with Taylor, before going towards the living room. I peer through the doorway, before seeing my mom on the floor. Why was she on the floor? Taylor and I walk up to her, Taylor gently setting me down. I try to wake my mom up.

“Mom. Mom, this isn’t funny. Wake up!”

I start to gently shake her before I lift up her head.

Blood.

It just reminded me of the dog from the dumpster, except, this was my mother. I scream in horror, Taylor only being able to let out a gasp of fear. He quickly helps me back up and quickly leads me back out of the house. We ran back to the car, before figuring out it was locked. Taylor starts to bang on the glass, trying to get his grandmother’s attention. I help him try to get her attention, but also try to figure out why we couldn’t. I use the car’s side as support, looking through the window.

“Ms. Edna, help!”

I bang on the glass, to only find her unmoving as well. I noticed that Cookie wasn’t there either. I look back at Taylor, him confused on what is happening. I look around, trying to find the man or his car. I know it’s him that is behind this. I grab Taylor, before sliding down onto the ground besides the car, keeping him close and quiet.

“Stay here, okay? I’m gonna go check out what’s happening-”

“But your leg! What if you get hurt again, or the person catches you?”

I look down at my leg. He’s right. What if I do get caught. But what will help being stuck here too? They’ll only find us faster, and I can’t let Taylor get hurt. If I move now, I could probably get help-

My thoughts were cut off by a scream.

I look to my left with wide eyes. (wide eyes? Like the song Wide Eyes by Kmoe 👀)

The same man I saw that took Allan was holding up Taylor. I stare in shock and disbelief, not able to understand what is happening. But I knew I had to help Taylor. I pulled myself up and started to try to punch his leg several times even though my attacks were really weak at the moment. I then just bit his leg like a wild animal trying to defend itself. He grunts and lets go of Taylor, dropping the boy on the ground. Taylor quickly gets back up and starts to pull me with him, attempting to save us both.

“Taylor, RUN!”

“But, I can’t leave you-”

“NOW”

He stops trying to pull me, before my eyes meet with his tear-filled ones. I only nod my head. That’s when he took off running as quickly as he could. I turn my head quickly to see the man standing over me. And I was terrified. I didn’t have any way to get out of this situation. I have a broken leg, dead parents, and was trapped between the car and man. Without any warning, the man grabs both of my legs and drags me to his car. I scream as loud as I can. Not only because I was being kidnapped, but I was also in so much pain. He tosses me in the car, finding it pretty useless to attempt to restrain me at the moment, since I was already weak. He closes and locks the doors, but instead of going to the driver’s seat, he walks away. I stared with confusion, before realizing where he was going. I tried to sit up, but I was too fast, causing a lot of pain in my leg. I scream in pain again, before crying softly. I felt pathetic.

After a few minutes, I heard a shriek that was quickly cut off. He caught Taylor. The man walks back with a struggling Taylor, shoving him into the car as well. As soon as the man closed the door, he went to the trunk. Taylor watches from the rear windshield, before trying to find a way to get out of the car. He crawls to the front, before testing the door, which was locked. He sighs with anger, before trying to look for a different way out. But before he could, the man opened the door again and started to tie us down. He ties our wrists, and legs. I watched with fear before a bag was placed over my head.

It was too late to try anything now.

Notes:

RIP Taylor's granny, she got hit by a bazooka. I'm sorry my fault my fault.
