Chapter Text
White Lily Cookie had kept in touch with Eternal Sugar through instagram (She told her the personal account and stopped using the business account to chat) for the past few weeks, overall getting to know each other and was friendly…
Sort of, if you count Eternal Sugar flirting with White Lily occasionally.
White Lily was with Sage and Pure Vanilla when Eternal Sugar called. They were in the art shop moving several things to make room for the coffee shop.
At the moment, Pure Vanilla was still staying with Sage. White Lily was fine with that, since she was still clearing out the other bedroom for Pure Vanilla to stay in when he moved in.
“ Heyyy Lily! Your phone’s calling! “ Sage pointed out the obvious
White Lily’s ringtone was loud and clear, making Pure Vanilla abruptly stop and almost drop the box he was holding.
“ Oh- It’s Eternal Sugar! “ White Lily said as she got her phone from what was soon to be the counter.
“ Eternal Sugar you sayyyyy~? “ Sage smirked, floating over her shoulder trying to get a peek.
“ Sage don’t you dare tease me- “
“ What?? I didn’t even say anything yet! “
Pure Vanilla let out an exasperated sigh. “ White Lily, you should answer her. “
“ I know, I’m just wondering why she’s calling- “ She said as she pressed the answer button.
“ Hello White Lily! Just wondering if you’re free to have a coffee today? “
“ Oh! Hi Eternal Sugar, j-just hold on one sec! “ White Lily put the call on hold, looking to the others.
“ You should go! “ Sage said like this was the most important thing to do in the Milky Way galaxy.
“ B-but the arrangements! The shop! What about it? We still need to move a lot of things! “ She pointed out nervously. “ Maybe I should just say I’m busy.. “
Sage pouted but shrugged and kept quiet, meanwhile Pure Vanilla had a kind smile on his face. “ We could always continue tomorrow, besides, you’ve done enough work for now. A break would be good. “
“ Okay…. As long as you two are going! “ She said like it was her final decision.
The two boys blinked,
“ Why-? “ started Pure Vanilla.
“ This would be a great time for you to interact! “ stated Sage, like he was the expert in love and romance. (He wasn’t, he just watches a lot of romcoms.)
“ What if I mess up something..?? I don’t want to stutter ‘Marinette -style’ in front of her! “ freaked the lily, overthinking every outcome that could possibly occur.
“ Lily, haven’t you talked to her on the phone before? You were perfectly fine then. “
White Lily glared at Pure Vanilla.
Sage almost giggled but Pure Vanilla shut his mouth with his hand quickly.
“ You should ask if it’s okay with her first. “ Said Pure Vanilla reasonably.
“ Oh.. right! “ White Lily returned to the call. “ Eternal Sugar, is it alright if some friends joined? “
A pause. White Lily wonders if this was a mistake.
“ Of course it’s alright! The more the merrier! “ She heard Eternal Sugar say, but she couldn’t tell if the enthusiasm was forced or not.
“ Hey Sugar! “ Sage said to the phone, with White Lily yelping in surprise since he just randomly floated over her shoulder again.
“ Oh- is that Sage-? Hi Sage! Oh, wait, so the friends you’re bringing is Sage and Pure Vanilla? “ Eternal Sugar said with a slight relief, like something had eased all her worries.
“ Yup! You guessed it! “ Sage answered for White Lily, since she was about to ask Pure Vanilla if Eternal Sugar knew him too.
“ We’ll meet in the Honey Cafe at 3 o’ clock? “
Sage floated back to Pure Vanilla, silently signaling to White Lily, it’s all yours.
“ I- yes! See you! “
And Eternal Sugar hung up the call.
“ Well at least you didn’t stutter. Not that much at least. Marinette couldn’t even speak words when talking to Adrien. “ Hummed Sage, looking at the clock.
“ ah, forget the Miraculous Ladybug reference. We should get changed. “ White Lily rolled her eyes, then glanced to her bedroom, remembering her less than great closet. “ Wonderful.” She muttered.
“ We look fine as we are, I suppose it’s just you who has to change. “ The blonde chuckled.
White Lily sighed again and went upstairs.
Opening the door, she winced, she liked keeping her clothes neat and clean, but today it was… messy.
It was not going to be easy.
After a few minutes of rummaging through drawers and frustration building up, she finally decided on a simple green dress with light puffy sleeves. It had a pattern of lillies all over it (matching her.)
She wasn’t so sure where or when she got this dress in the first place, or if she was the one who bought it or not, but she did remember at that time she was still with Golden Cheese.
Ah, right.. Golden Cheese.. that relationship was complicated, that and her well, not so great disorder that may have ruined things for them.
But thankfully, White Lily was better now, she could only hope she could mend things between them, other than being her girlfriend, well… Golden Cheese was a great friend. And she meant a lot…
White Lily shook her thoughts away,
No. I must focus on the present for now. It’s better now to not waste time..
After changing and freshening up a bit more, she went downstairs to find Sage and Pure Vanilla cuddling on the couch, or rather, Sage was cuddling Pure Vanilla while he was reading some braille books. (He could still go out on his own, it’s just easier now to read braille books)
“ So are you two lovebirds gonna get up or not?”
Pure Vanilla looked up and chuckled, and Sage pouted again but reluctantly got off Pure Vanilla.
He and Pure Vanilla have been together for a very long time now, they started out as an awkward couple at first (Pure Vanilla confessed first with a bouquet of bluebells) and turned into this lovey-dovey sweethearts. They were together even before Golden Cheese and White Lily were, and it’s no surprise they were still strong, Pure Vanilla could never keep things from Sage anyway, and Sage was always near Pure Vanilla, like a clingy little puppy.
Was she jealous of their relationship sometimes? Maybe, but she hopes she could find the sage to her vanilla soon.
“ so my car or-? “
The two pairs of eyes focused on White Lily.
“ Eh.. why do I even bother. “ White Lily chuckles and get her keys and Sage being silly and happy in quiet celebration while Pure Vanilla watches everything in amusement.
White Lily gingerly texted Eternal Sugar that they were on the way— and after ensuring every word was polite and cheerful, she looked to the others.
“ Why are you treating your words like glass?” Sage muses.
White Lily in embarrassment looked down. “ I… I don’t know. I just feel more nervous today..”
Sage put an arm around her shoulder to which White Lily yelped in surprise, “ Awe don’t worry Lily, everything will be fine! Just be confident!”
“ Confident is awfully hard when this is the first time we’ve seen each other in weeks.”
“ Just be confident!” Sage repeated, which didn’t really help.
White Lily knew though he was really trying to help in his own goofy way, so of course she appreciated his words.

White Lily dreaded the road.
Traffic. Stray accidents. Crossing pedestrians— especially if she’s driving near a school.
But the atmosphere was light-hearted, as Sage and Pure Vanilla was being the cute lovelies they were and were making some encouragement for her.
Thoughhh, Sage should really stop watching romcoms. She thinks to herself and sighs.
While stuck at a red traffic light, White Lily’s phone rang.
White Lily quickly picked it up as she turned the wheel. “Helloo-?”
“ I’m here already, how about you guys?” Eternal Sugar said cheerfully.
“ I- uh we’re on our way! Just.. uhm a few more minutes..!! Oh and I’m driving right now-“
“ Oh! Sorry for calling then, drive safe!” She promptly hangs up the call.
White Lily sighs, and she looks at the back and notices Pure Vanilla was shushing Sage for something. He was probably making kissy faces at her again.
Sometimes she wonders why she’s friends with these idiots, but she wouldn’t have it any other way.
Finally, they were in the parking lot. The Honey Cafe wasn’t too big, it was more like your local Starbucks, but cheaper and less crowded.
Plus the lattes here taste better, or at least, that’s what White Lily thought.
“ Ughh… is it always so full-? “ The lily complained as she kept doing turns left and right, with Sage and Pure Vanilla watching her but also eyeing out for some empty parking spaces.
“ Oh, there’s one.” She then parked right next to a white car. It looked expensive, but she couldn’t tell what brand it was, unfortunately.
“ did you guys get all your things?” She looks back as she gets out of the car. Thankfully, she parked the car right.
They nodded, with Sage floating behind Pure Vanilla as they all went in the Honey Cafe.
The Honey Cafe was pretty crowded today, as the parking suggested. But assuming that it was a Saturday, it made sense.
The walls were, of course, a golden yellow with painting of light yellow drips like (you guessed it) sweet honey.
Eternal Sugar was sitting in one of the corner tables, away from all the noisy ones.
And oh gods… she looked just as ethereal as ever, heavenly curls tied up in a half-bun, she was wearing a white dress similar to the one White Lily had seen in her photo when she was painting her gift. Her ruby eyes glinting in surprise as spotted them, and a subtle blush as she glanced at Lily.
“ Eternal Sugar!”
She smiles and waved at them and they took a seat, with Sage and Pure Vanilla next to each other and of course White Lily across Eternal Sugar.
“H-how have you been? And Pavlova and Sugarfly?”
“ Oh I’m fine, and Pavlova and Sugarfly are just delightful! Being the silly lovers like they are of course~”
The door opened, but White Lily didn’t really notice who it was.
Pure Vanilla did see, however, and was desperately trying to get White Lily’s attention. Sage was just waiting until someone would stop talking so they could get the menu.
“ You just look so cute in that dress! Where’d you get it~? “ Eternal Sugar looked to the patterns on the green dress.
White Lily blushed like a raspberry but hoped it wasn’t too obvious; “ I.. honestly forgot where I got it from, but back then I was still with my-“
“ White Lily..!!” Pure Vanilla hissed louder.
“ …?? What..??” White Lily glanced at what he’s pointing and her eyes widened in surprise. Eternal Sugar looked on with intrigue.
A golden haired woman with her all so clean mascara was looking around, clipping her perfect wings behind her back, looking around at the tables. Behind her was another woman with bright pink hair.
“ Oh gods.” White Lily gulped.
“ Who’s that?” Eternal Sugar perked a brow.
“ That’s Golden Cheese and Hollyberry.” Sage said, sinking into the couch, since this didn’t really bother him.
Pure Vanilla nodded but looked worried.
“ That’s.. Golden Cheese is my ex.” White Lily looked down.
