Chapter 2: Tell Me It's Inevitable That I End Up With Scars

Summary:

Well at least he found him?

Chapter Text

Builderman trembled as he stood before the Illumina. He knew he could use the touchstone if he missed the entrance of the hidden room, and rely on his powers as a god and admin if all else failed, but there seemed to be something else he was afraid of. Was it the thought that he might see the corpse of his love? Or worse, nothing at all? At least if it was his corpse, Builderman would have some kind of answer, something that could let him start grieving his loss, rather than going insane from searching.

He took the sword out of its pedestal with shaky hands, bracing himself. After a moment, he jumped off the ledge, using the Illumina to launch himself forward. The next moment, he found himself panting, clutching his chest as he kneeled on the cold rocky floor of Telamon’s hidden room.

The grey deity panted for a moment, calming down from the adrenaline rush he had from jumping from that ledge. After a moment, he noticed the faint scent of drying ichor. He looked up in panic, to find the curled up body of his husband, draped over the pedestal in the upper middle of the room, the golden liquid pooling around him. Builderman rushed over to the avian, gently lifting Telamon’s torso onto Builderman’s lap.

Telamon let out a barely audible, pained groan as Builderman stroked his head wings softly.

“Tela…what happened?” Builderman asked protectively.

Telamon slowly relaxed his wings, unfurling them onto the stone floor. Builderman gasped at the sight of a large stab wound in the bird’s side, the area around the infected a dark green tinge.

“Venomshank?”

Telamon nodded weakly, ichor both fresh and dry pooled around him, a sickly look on his face, which was paler than ever.

“Oh, my love…”

Telamon chirped, quiet and in pain.

“Can ya’ still fly home, atleast?”

Builderman watched in horror as the avian weakly flapped his wings, noticing his flight feathers had essentially been clipped; severed by the Venomshank. Telamon curled closed to his spouse, evidently frightened and traumatised.

“Let’s go home, okay? Can I pick ya’ up?”

The avian nodded limply, giving Builderman the permission to lift him. As Builderman lifted his husband’s wounded body, Telamon clung to his neck like a koala, his wings folded tightly behind his back, and burying his head into the crevice of Builderman’s neck, letting out a soft chirp in pain.

Notes:

Wow, thanks for making it this far. Uh, so this has a chance of not being finished for a long time (I have not a single spec of an outline, and constantly drift between states of motivation and laziness, sorry. Also, I'm constantly busy with schoolwork, so that adds a factor)
