Chapter Text
Today, Sonic woke up and ran to Tails' place. He told Amy that she should come over to Tails' place in the morning after she got up, so they could add her into battles with Eggman. On the way, Sonic wondered if Amy ever had a chilidog before, and he ran back to grab chilidogs for everyone.
"Hey Tails! Want a chilidog?"
"Sure! Also, Did you invite the new girl? What was her name again? Amy?"
"Yes and yes. Is Knuckles coming? we are here to discuss battle plans, aren't we?"
"Uhh, pretty sure, unless he 'senses' something on Angel Island."
Knuckles has always had this weird sense for when something is wrong on Angel Island, but Tails refuses to believe he has a sense, claiming that its scientifically impossible, but it's Knuckles, he can do everything.
Except be on time, of course.
"The others are supposed to be here by now, should we go get them?" Sonic was especially waiting for Amy, since her hammer amazed Sonic, and he really wanted to see it in battle.
"Good idea Sonic! I'll go get Knuckles!"
"Why? Knuckles is further away, I don't want you to all the way to Angel Island!"
Tails gave a smug grin and said, "It's nothing, Sonic, just go get Amy!"
"Alright!" Sonic ran all the way to Amy's house, and found her on her porch, clutching her notebook. She looked very scared and was shaking. She was nervous to go to Tails' house on her own.
Sonic actually didn't run all the way to Amy's house, he stopped about 3 feet back, and walked to Amy's house at a normal speed.
"Hey Amy! What cha doin'?"
Amy got startled by that, and wrote down on her notebook, "I was too nervous to go to the fox's house, I can't remember his address."
Sonic went up the porch, and scooped up Amy, and ran back to Tails' house.
"I'll take you there!"
Of course, Amy wasn't prepared for that, so she hid her face with her notebook to avoid eye contact. Sonic went a bit slower than usual, just to savor the moment.
When they reached Tails' place, Sonic gently put Amy down, and called for Tails.
"Tails! You home?"
"Yea, I'm in the workshop with Knuckles!"
"C'mon Amy, let's go!"
Amy and Sonic made their way into the workshop, and found Tails and Knuckles there.
"How'd you guys make it here before us? Angel Island is really far!"
The yellow fox gave a smirk and said, "You should be asking yourself that, but we should probably start."
Tails explained stuff for like 2 hours, and Amy had to show everyone her hammer skills, and Tails did a bunch of tests and asked questions about the hammer-space, just boring stuff like that.
Just then, Eggman decided to show up and ruin their fun.
"HEY RODENTS! COME OUT HERE!"
Sonic and the gang came outside, and Eggman noticed Amy first.
"What's up with the pink furball? She looks like a strawberry!"
With that comment, Amy started to tear up a bit. She's always been a bit self conscious. Imagine the first time you meet someone, they insult your looks, that would be horrible.
But no one noticed Eggman's rude comment, they never listen to Eggman talk.
Sonic started by spin dashing into Eggman's big robot thing a couple of times, and Tails did some tech stuff, and Knuckles punched the robot thing.
Amy, being shook by Eggman's comment, took out her hammer, and hit Eggman on his head. She was furious about the comment, and realized that taking an insult from a balding man wasn't worth her time.
"OW, WHAT WAS THAT FOR?"
The angry egg took off in his robot, that probably hurt a lot for him to leave mid battle.
The gang congratulated each other, and Amy started to love battling Eggman.
