Chapter Text
Edward stood up when he saw you. He walked over and grabbed your shoulders. Then let out a sigh, “Honestly, you are just the person I need right now! Come, sit down!” He said. He practically dragged you over to the couch, sitting you down next to him, across from Ciel. You were slightly confused, for valid reasons. “Y/N,” he said, looking straight at you, “Is there anything that would make you run away from home?” He asked, surprisingly sincerely. You thought for a couple of seconds, “I mean, free food is always great!” You said in a joking tone. “No, seriously, Y/N,” Edward said. You had never seen him act like this before, so this was odd for you. You let out a sigh, “Sorry, Seriously I lef- I would leave home if I was bored or just tired of it, like if I wanted something new!” You said, luckily catching yourself before you spoke in past tense. Edward nodded, “Hmm, I see…” He said. You sat there for a few seconds, “Wait… so what is all this about?” You finally asked, looking around the room at Ciel and Sebastian.
Ciel caught you up on what they were discussing, “Lady Elizabeth is missing!?” You exclaimed, “And you think it has something to do with the Sphere Music Hall??” Ciel nodded. “Goodness, that's horrible!” You said. “Yes!” Edward said, “I went there to try and convince her to come back home, but she kept saying her ‘shining star’ was there,” And with that you all decided to go to the Sphere Music Hall.
You all turned up at the hall dressed more plainly than you usually would to blend in as best as possible. “It looks like my seniors aren’t here, nor is Lizzy,” Edward said. Soon some ladies approached your group, “Hello! I don’t think we’ve seen you around before,” one of them said. Sebastian handled the talking, and it soon became obvious there was something weird with this place.
“Look over there!” Edward said pointing towards a man sitting on a chair, surrounded by many people. “That’s the fortune teller Lizzy and I talked too, his name is Bravat,” He said. You all nodded, soon heading over to where he sat. Sebastian approached Bravat first, “Could you read my fortune?” He asked. Bravat seemed to look at him with a shocked expression, but soon regained his composure and welcomed him to sit down,
“So, do you need to prick my finger-?”
“No need, I can tell you aren’t protected by any star,” Bravat said. He leaned in towards Sebastian's ear, whispering something you could not hear. Bravat bounced back, looking all jolly, “Haha! Didn’t mean to catch you off guard! But you really are the darkness that steals light, like a black hole…” He said. The crowd around them started to scream saying, “LEAVE! LEAVE!” to him. They soon dragged Sebastian out of the hall.
“Are you that guy's friend?” Bravat asked Ciel. Ciel looked at him, “Ah! Yes! He’s my senior at the factory,” He lied quickly. “Hmm? You do seem quite different… Would you like your fortune read?” He asked. Ciel was hesitant at first, but soon complied. He sat down on the chair, and let a drop of his blood fall into Bravat’s fortune telling cup. Suddenly Bravat shot up, “NYAHA! YOU HAVE DIVINE PROTECTION FROM SIRIUS!!” He said excitedly. Everyone started swarming Ciel, saying excited, joyous praises. You were slightly confused. But luckily Bravat soon explained that there were four different stars you can receive divine protection from, Polaris, Vegas, Canopus, and the rarest one, Sirius. “Ones under the guidance of Sirius are typically prodigies, but can be rather two-faced. Boy, I can see the darkness stalking your light,” Bravat said. Ciel seemed to shudder at his words. You guessed the ‘darkness’ was referring to Sebastian. Bravat then gave Ciel a bracelet, to help him connect to the star of Sirius. And both of you soon left the crowd. You were just glad he hadn’t noticed you as well.
You both soon met up with Edward. Taking a look around the room, you couldn’t help but notice everyone else wearing the said Bracelet Bravat had just given Ciel. You three discussed the findings so far. Still not feeling much closer to an answer, or finding Elizabeth. Suddenly, one of the ladies in the crowd cried out, “It’s time for the carols!” she said. “...Carols?” You questioned. Another lady piped up seeing your group's confusion. “Well it’s the fourth Saturday! What else do you think would happen?” SHe said. Soon the room faded into blackness. And some people walked out onto the stage.
