In theory they should’ve had no problem waking them up
But
They took a deep breath in and went to the couch unaware oh how this was going to go down, in theur minds it was a easy enough task wake the kids up get them to the table eat breakfast then they Gucci
Oh they weren’t prepare for what was about to commence
Egg had volunteered to got first and walked to the couch picking who looked th closes to wking up and he picked wemmbu for no particular reason
He definitely didn’t pick him because wemmbu was his best friend
Noooooo he would never do that it was purely tactical
Egg had gone to the little dragon and patted his shoulder “come on wemmy wake up” he consoled “its morning bud”
He grumbled and blinked up at the harsh light and turned around waving his hand “let me sleep” he whined turning over and hiding his face in the cushions away from the unforgiving brightness
“Come on wemmy wake up’’ egg persisted nudging his shoulder a bit firmer this time
“Noooooo they heard a wail” as wemmbu buried his head in the cushions draping the blanket tighter over his face
Egg tried a different approach ans sighed mentally preparing himself before doing it
“Wemm prince of the dragon your highness foods ready for you’’ he said and then cringed at himself and the others did too by the sounds they made he did not dare to look at them and their shit eating grins
Mayb treating him like a royal dragon would work?
(he’s desperate alright?)
Wemmbu did not even acknowledge him as he just whined loudly into his pillow and went right back to sleep bresthing evening out again
“I give up’’ egg sighed and slumped into his seat “someone else do it I am not built for this shit dawg”
Theo trued next he was confident in himself parrot was being nothing but an angel of a child so surely it was easy to get him to wake up
He thought very VERY wrong
“Morning parrot” he tried shaking his shoulder "foods ready"
“Not now Theo” he wailed “I’m tired “
“Come on bird wake up or else I’m gonna eat the food all by myself” Theo said crouching down just to hover over parrot hand patting his head
“Noo” he whined let me sleep “Theo you go eat flame will make sure theres some for me later ”
“Thats adorable” Theo snorted “but parrot come one we need to get up” he urged him trying to use his best encouraging voice
Parrot lifted his head from the pillow hair going in all the directions they didn’t even know exsisted and gave him the hundred yard stare of a child being very unimpressed and for a second Theo thought maybe it worked then parrot stuck out his tongue and dropped back into sleep
“Bro’’ he groaned “that was uncalled for” he sat down cross legged on the rug staring at the ceiling smiling despite himself
“Loms you take care of that we are amsteurs clearly ‘Theo rolled his eyes under the glasses muttering something about little avians being a pain in the ass
Lomedy tried as he lowers himself to manes level,” hey mane good morning cub” he ruffeled his head
“morning” he growled back clearly still half asleep
Lomedy saw that as a development and nudged him further “time to get up mane” he said and there was a tone of plea under it desperation creeping in now that he saw the other two fail so badly
“No” he stated “let me sleep more”
“Come on foods getting cold”
“Flame will reheat it for me”
“Come on dont make your brother do more work”
“He doesn’t mind doing it”
Now what could lomedy respond to that? it was true mane wasn’t lying he was speaking facts actually so he also stopped trying and all of the weight was now on mappics shoulder as they figured maybe these two have some special bond related to chaos or something
Mappic went to the sleeping void and shook him gently “hey spoke morning bud “
“Morning mappics” he anwered back
“Come on lets go eat lomedy spent so long time cooking for you”
He looked at him his eyes half open and dropped his head back on pillow “later” he whined
Mappic thought about his next move eggs approach did work neither did Theo or lomedys gentle way worked and his mind came with a solution rather it be a little unethical
“What if we drag them over by force” he suggested turning his head towards the others “like we just drag them”
Silence fell over the room and the tension was so thick you could cut it with a sword
Theos eyes went wide hearing that “mappic you want us to get killed today or something “
“What it’s the best option we have” he shrugged
“Idiot” egg chimed in “you realize who’s brothers theses are right “ he gestured at the kids the blankets the whole situation of this
“They are…flames little brothers’ mappics said confused where this was going
‘Yes and flame has become very protective over them” egg said
“Yeah ive seen that its terrifying “ mappics agreed it was one thing to see him fight but that energy being concentrated into protecting them was a whole another thing
“And that mean that if we drag them then they will….” Egg said leaving the sentence for mappics to complete
“Cry “ he said “they will cry”
“Yes and if they cry we are genuinely cooked “ lomedy said to him and the seriousness is his voice made mappics want to laugh
“Oh right” he muttered
“Thank you for understanding now think of something else to wake them up”
Mappic got an idea maybe they couldn’t drag them forcefully back to the table in risk of triggering flames suddenly acquired protective instincts but maybe threat would work
He lowered himself to spoked level and whispered in his ear “spoke if you don’t wake up right now you will never see me again I will leave this base”
Spoke looked back at him with the most unimpressed look a child can give and said” damn that’s crazy and went back to sleep’’
Mappic froze looking at the little shadow “did he really just” he asked looking back for some sort of help from the others
The other three burst into laughter seeing him get rejected so bad
Theo was rolling on the floor clutching his stomach shamelessly laughing at him lomedy was leaning against the doorway smilling eyes shining with tears
Egg buried his face in his hands as his shoulder shook with silent laughter he at least had the decency to try to hide it
Oh this wasn’t working at all how were they supposed to wake these kids up now , they weren’t getting up the normal way by gentle awaking ,neither did treating them like royalty worked, neither did threatening work
They technically had one option and that was too drag them from their little bundles of blankets and which they were all sleeping in right now and then carry them to the table
….that had an issue with it
If they accidentally used even the slightest more of force they would either shriek or worse cry and they are sure no matter how many blocks apart they are flame will sense it either way and then they will never live to tell the tale
The other part was that none of them had the heart to do so they couldn’t do it to risk waking their relaxed forms and then dealing with the aftermath
So they just let them sleep a bit longer they’ll wake them up before flame got back
……Yeah if they managed to do that
