Chapter Text
_-Zeus's POV-_
My son was dead. I had many children that had died. Honestly, it was the boy's own fault. He wasn't strong enough (He was mortal), quick enough, and in the end, he wasn't worthy to be a god.
I would have to enquire to Hades about where he ended up in the underworld.
For the past week, almost everyone avoided me like the plague. Hermes took over the true domain, despite him already having the domain of lies. I would have to watch that one. He's took quick for his own good.
Artemis refused to let the domain of the sun go to anyone other than herself, and despite hating men, not her brother never her brother also took up being a protector of young men, making her a protector of young people in general.
Athena took over knowledge, unsurprisingly.
Ascelepius, even though he was in confinement, took plagues and illnesses. I suppose it would give him something else to focus on.
Nxy's daughter, the goddess of day, took light.
Since archery was also Artemis's domain, there would be no need to redistribute it.
And I took prophecy. I would succeed where he could not.

The meeting was semi-productive. Demeter seemed oddly subdued. Hermes quieter, despite his busy schedule. Artemis however, drowned in fury. It rolled off of her in waves, and the only ones who could safely approach with getting pelted with arrows was Leto, Athena, Hermes, and surprisingly Hades and Hera. I heard that Apollo had ended up in Elysium, despite failing spectacularly, and all the grave mistakes he had committed of the centuries.
Things were going smoothly. Hermes was explaining that the amount of souls he had to transport to the underworld, despite Iris's help still required for him to split a whole quarter of himself to guide them.
That was when it all went to Hades. I felt an itch in my throat, which should not have been possible. My vision went blurry, when I opened my mouth, my voice came out, but if also wasn't.
"Two siblings together,
go as one, one as a guide,
one as a god,
Together do they travel,
To seek a beloved out,
But when the sun rises,
They shall be too late,"
My vision cleared, and I pushed down the uneasy feeling blossoming inside me. I must not have been concentrating enough on my new domain.
I glared around the room, and my eyes landed on Hermes. The guide.
I dared not look at Artemis.
Her face glowed with a dangerous spark
