Chapter 11: New Information

Chapter Text

---6:46.P.M.

Info-chan...

She slept over on the couch and cooked me breakfast.

She took a shower at my house last night and asked to borrow some sleep clothes.

She wore my clothes.

I can still smell her on them!

I'm tempted to never wash them again.

Oh, my god.

Is she really all I think about!?

Well, I do love her and she gives me life so it's no surprise to me that I think of her all the time but this is just getting to me now.

I want to see her but I don't want to put her off by being too needy.

I want her to want me, I don't want to force her.

Not because it's not easy to do but because-

Well, I don't know why honestly.

I sigh.

Fuck it.

I grab my ear piece from the coffee table and put it in.

"Info-chan."

Info-chan suddenly yelled so loud in my ear, I starting hearing ringing.

"You scared the shit out of me! You haven't used the earpiece in like 2 or 3 days!"

"Sorry, it wasn't my intention! However, now my ear hurts- can you tune it down?"

I hear her sigh.

"Sorry for yelling. Now, what did you need?"

"You'll leave a window open for me, right?"

...

"I'll leave a wind open for you, Yan-chan. No need to question it, just tell me and I'll do it."

The line cut off.

The ringing in my ear slowly stated to fade away.

---7:35.P.M.

Looking up the side of the school building, the rope is already hanging out the open window.

I climb up the rope and walk over to the info club room door.

I knock on it, half expecting nothing because I'm not used to seeing her so it's not in my natural reaction to think that she would open the door but she did.

Info-chan opened the door for me.

Just for me.

"Come in."

I walk past her, the door closes behind me.

"Can I ask you something, Yan-chan?"

A question for me?

I feel as though I am using the one asking questions... Or at least now I am, I'm not sure.

"Of course."

She takes my hand and walks me to the bed, sitting me down on it by the shoulders.

Is this serious?

The look in her eyes says it's serious.

"You haven't killed anyone an days. What's up with that? You know this isn't getting you any closer to dating Taro, let alone Marry him, right?"

Fuck...

I was really hoping she wouldn't ask this but of course she had to.

"I'm well aware but-" I was cut off by Info-chan as soon as I try to come up with a believable defense.

"But what? We graduate soon. You told me this like 60 times this year that you need to do this now or never, before it's too late. Do you want him taken away from you, now? You have killed 4 out of the 10 rivals and you really don't have much time left."

"I know, Info-chan but you need to understand-"

"Understand what? I don't mean to be rude but what is that need to understand? That you can't finish the job you started?"

Can't finish?

Me?

Can't finish a job?

I can finish it if I damn well wanted to but they're lucky I don't!

I don't need to kill them because Taro isn't my goal anymore.

The things I can do to them though-

I stand up.

I can't help but snap.

"I can finish it if I want to, Info-chan! My perfectly fine killing capacity have never needed to be in question, I am an Aishi! I am my Mother's daughter, do you understand that!? If I want to kill the rest of those fucks, I would do it no problem but that's not what I'm doing right now, is it!?"

One of my hands grabs my shirt as a pant.

God, I hope to never yell again.

That took a lot out of me for some reason.

...

The silence in the room was deafening as I caught my breath.

It seems she's shocked.

Honestly she has a right to be, I've never acted this way.

That was, until she spoke.

"You can. My apologies, that should have never been in question. You can kill, I've seen it."

She admitted it.

Good.

Seems like yelling does get somethings across.

"You look up to her a lot, don't you?"

"Who?"

"Your mother, Ayano."

"I don't think a emotionless kill-"

"A emotionless killer like you can't miss or admire your mother, yes I know but I think you can. I can understand why you would."

"What do you mean?" I asked, calming down now.

I don't believe her and I don't see where she's going with this at all but at this point I have nothing better to do and I don't want us to fight.

"I read all about her growing up. You see, my dad had a... grougch against your mother. She was smart, yes but he still knew the truth."

"Your father?" I asked, confused.

She nodded and continued speaking.

"However, the truth wasn't enough for them to believe him since she had her evidence stacked high. Your mother is in America to go after the detective, my father."

Her dad is the...

Woah, I need to sit down.

I sit back down on the bed and Info-chan sits down next to me this time.

This actually makes so much sense now.

That's why she knows so much about the law and secret security.

I suppose since we're making confessions now, I'll go ahead too.

"My mother got herself freedom from her crimes. That's something I'm unsure of if I can do. I don't want to test it. My mother can't help me with everything, she said this was my own thing to handle and I wanted to handle it."

Info-chan just stares, not replying.

I continue, as it seems she has nothing to say yet.

"However, it's not a matter of if I can kill, it's a matter of if I can get away with it."

"I understand. Not in a 'I've been there' way, obviously no one can ever be in your place but I understand what you mean but that. Although, I feel like there's more to it then that... isn't there?" She replied.

"I killed girls who didn't really deserve it. I figured out that I was going after the wrong person. I kill for love, feelings and my own 'humanity' but I can't do that in the name of the wrong person even more then already I have. Plus the fact that-"

"Wrong person? Wait- why would you care about killing for the wrong person anyway?" Info-chan interrupted.

"I care but not because I regret it but because it still doesn't feel right. Taro isn't my Senpai." I explained.

"You don't love Taro?"

"I never have, I just thought it did. No one in the Aishi family has ever had a fake out so I thought he was the one but he wasn't."

Info-chan looked away from me, putting her hand to her chin.

"Very interesting. I didn't think that was possible." Info-chan muttered, more to herself than me.

"I didn't think so either."

Info-chan looked back over to me after I spoke, looking even more interested in my next words.

"Who is it?"

"I'm not answering that."

"What? How am I supposed to help you if I don't know who you're trying to get ahold of, Ayano? The only reason you would know who to kill is because of me!"

"I'm aware."

"Then why won't you tell me? This is the whole reason we even know each other in the first place."

"I'll figure it out on my own this time, Info-chan. I know that this has been the reason why we know each other but that can change, no?"

...

Info-chan sighed.

"Well, yeah. I suppose it can change. If you're so sure, then I'll leave it all for you to figure out who to kill next."

"So." I say as I hold my hand out to her.

"Still partners?"

Info-chan took my hand in no time and shook it.

"Of course. There's no changing that. Obviously that's set in stone."

She pulled her hand away from mine, I put my hand in my lap with my other.

"Just for the record, I apologize if my mother kills your father anytime in the near future." I stated, leaning back against the bed.

"Oh, I'll be fine. Honestly, I've always had a feeling he would die before me. Not that I want him to or anything, it's just always been a hunch in the back of my mind."

I nod.

Mother is quite the hunter.

I have no doubt that he will be able to escape from her.

"You do still have your mother, correct?" I ask.

"Well, no actually. She died when I was 12. Dad was a workaholic already but it kicked up his work 10 fold after. I never blamed him for that. I suppose my need to work is from him. It's probably the only thing I inherited from him."

So if my mother does kill her father, she'll be all alone...

"If your work drive is from your father, Did you get your looks from from your mother?"

Info-chan nodded.

"All of it. When I was young, people would only saw I looked like her, never my father."

I suppose we are more alike then I thought.

People still say I look more like my other.

"I've been through the same."

Info-chan nodded again.

"When I was 13-ish, my father started drinking. Whenever I would talk to him when he drunk, he kept confusing me for my Mother. He would ask 'is our daughter alseep' and ask how my day was, thinking I was her."

To those words, I have no way of reacting to.

Is there even a good way to respond to that? Because if so, then I don't know what it is.

"My apologies." Is all that came out of my mouth.

"It's fine, I'm over it. Thanks though."

...

"So you're fine being alone if my mother kills him?" I ask.

"I won't be alone, Ayano."

I rasie an eyebrow.

Her mother is dead, there's a 90% chance her father is going to be dead, she never mentioned a sibling, her grandparents are probably dead too, she has a close relationship with almost no one.

Who is she talking about?

"Well, obviously you'll still be here. You're working with me from now one, after all."

Oh.

I'm the one she's talking about.

Me.

That's good.

Really good.

Is there hope of love for me?

If not, I'm going stag.

The only girl I'll love is Info-chan after all.

I'd prefer if she loved me so I don't have to end it all here.

The look in her eyes is driving me insane.

She means it, I can tell.

"You're right. I will be working you. I'll stay right here where you need me."

"I do need you." Info-chan replied almost too quickly.

That only acknowledged half of what I said but that's ok.

The face she made after that tells she didn't mean to say that.

However she isn't taking it back.

Accidentally saying it doesn't make it any less true

"Then it's a symbiotic relationship." I stated.

She nodded.

"It is." She muttered, looking away.

...

"Do you ever think you'll get close to someone?" I suddenly ask.

Silence never did anything for me.

Silence wasn't hated or loved by me but now I realize that silence feels wrong when I'm when her.

The words fell out of my mouth faster then I could shut it.

Info-chan quickly turned back to look at me before I can say 'sorry'.

Was I out of line?

Was the question too much?

I can't lose her now.

The look on her face is in between shocked and... angry? Horrified?

I can't tell.

When have I ever been able to tell?

Silence.

Silence is all I hear.

Come on, say something!

Anything you want to say to me, Info-chan!

I don't care if it hurts me, just speak.

Please, just saying something...

"I-"

...

"No, on one but If I were to get close to anyone, it would you. No one else is worth trusting all of this will. My childhood, my interests, my job, this room, my tech or me. I can only trust you to take care of all of it."

No one but me.

Me.

I'm the one person who she would be willing to be closer to.

She trust me.

She trust me with everything.

Even herself...

Maybe my chances aren't so low.

Maybe.

"I'll take care of anything for you." I say without a second thought.

There was no replie before I hear her smile under her mask.

"The feeling is incredibly mutual." Info-chan stated.

...

The room was quiet once more before Info-chan finally spoke.

"So, want to start your training again while you're here? We've been talking for quite a bit."

Right, training for my future work with her.

Yes, the sooner I learn, the better.

"Of course." I replied.

She sat up and held her hand out for me to take.

I take her hand into mine as she helped me stand up from the bed.

We didn't let go of each others hands as we walked over to her desk.

She pulled out her chair for me, I take a searc as she lets my hand go.

Info-chan took off her glasses, putting them on me before going before the chair.

She took my ponytail out.

Since she didn't give me the hair tie back, I think she put it on her wrist instead.

Messing with my hair before crossing her arms and putting them on top of my head, she starts to speak again.

"So this is where the-"

I zone out for a minute while she's without meaning to.

She's messing with my hair again...

I smile a little.

Wait, a smile?

I didn't even force it for once.

This is-

Woah, this is so weird.

Although, I suppose something new like this isn't bad.

It's only progress.

Good progress, even.

Taro made me smile too but it didn't feel quite like this.

All the more reason for me to believe she's my true Senpai, not no fake out like he was.

I should get back to the task at hand though.

I lean on my right hand just as a excuse to lean into her hand.

Notes:

I'm going to be fully honest, this wasn't supposed to be the last chapter. It's finished but it's also not. I don't really want to make them confuse. I don't want to write chapter 12. I'm sorry, really but I hope this is satisfying enough for you readers. I have more fics if you're interested, more yan-sim too. I'll be writing more fics but to be clear this one is utterly done for. Thank you for reading.
