Chapter Text
Now time skip to the afternoon, Derek came back to the dorm from Uni and the first thing he saw was Avery sleeping peacefully on the couch. He had to admit that Avery looked cute while sleeping, he looked like a sleeping hamster actually.
“Get back to your senses Derek. He is cute but you must leave him alone and let him rest.”
Derek thought to himself.
He was tired but not that much so he decided to study in his room for a bit and wait until Avery wakes up.
Avery wakes up from his nap.
He saw Derek’s bag so he knew he was home so Avery decided to find him.
He heard something from Derek’s room, it was the sound of an acoustic guitar.
(Ooc: I headcanon that Derek plays the acoustic guitar.)
He knocked on Derek’s door and peeked in; only to see the curly haired Derek playing the acoustic guitar fantastically.
Derek noticed Avery and welcomed him in and signaled Avery to sit on his on his bed.
“Hi Avery. You finally woke up from your nap.”
“Yeah I did, today was tiring.” Avery replied.
“Tell me about it.” Derek said.
Avery rambled on about his studies and everything.
He was too busy on rambling to notice that Derek was staring at him like he was the only person that existed in his world. Derek inched closer and closer to Avery until there was almost no space between them.
Avery eventually noticed and stopped rambling.
“Is it just me or did you get closer Derek?”
“It’s probably just you Aves.” Derek replied
“Anyways do you perhaps want to watch a movie?” Derek asked.
“Yeah sure why not”
They went back to the living room and put on a movie specifically an anime called “Howl’s moving castle.”
Derek fell asleep on Avery’s shoulder half way through the movie.
Avery didn’t dare to move his shoulder.
Avery’s stomach is here doing back flips while Derek is sleeping peacefully.
When Derek finally woke up, He moved away because not only was his shoulder hurting but he was tired too.
Derek eventually said “We should go to bed now Aves. Good night.”
Avery walked back to his bedroom and slept peacefully again.
Derek also went back to his bed room.
He couldn’t sleep.
Derek was still wide awake, laying on his bed.
He was questioning on why Avery didn’t just leave him when he fell asleep but instead waited for him even after the movie ended.
His heart had this weird feeling that he couldn’t describe.
Derek thought to himself maybe Avery was just being nice and tried to fall asleep but he couldn’t.
His mind was buffering like crazy.
He eventually forced himself to sleep again and as he closed his eyes he still couldn’t stop thinking about Avery.
