Chapter Text

As Izuku began to collapse from exhaustion, an arm immediately caught him before he could hit the floor.

His vision had already begun to blur, making it difficult to see who had caught him. However, his curiosity was quickly answered when he heard a familiar voice.

"Good job, Nii-san. Now you just need to rest, okay?"

It was BoBoiBoy.

He had rushed over using his Petir form, catching Izuku before he could fall.

All Might soon arrived as well. He didn't seem particularly surprised to see that BoBoiBoy had gotten there before him.

"Young BoBoiBoy, let me handle this from now on," All Might said reassuringly as he carefully took Izuku from BoBoiBoy and carried him in a bridal style.

BoBoiBoy simply nodded, his eyes remaining fixed on Izuku, who was barely conscious. "You'll be alright, Nii-san." He gave Izuku a small, reassuring smile.

Izuku's eyes fluttered weakly before his consciousness began to fade.

Once BoBoiBoy was certain that All Might had him safely, he immediately turned around. Then, without wasting another second, he sped back toward the observation room.

Inside the Watch as is in complete chaos.

As expected, Blaze and Halilintar were ready to kill Bakugo for what he had done to their older brother.

"That walking bomb just entered my bucket list of people to kill," Halilintar declared, pulling out one of his swords with a look of pure fury.

"No Bang Hali! Instead of just giving him a quick death, how about we torture him first with these babies?" Blaze suggested, joining Halilintar as he held up a handful of Yaya cookies.

Ais, who had also been watching the whole thing, stared at the cookies in surprise. "Wait, where the heck did you get those things?"

"Oh, these? I got them from Bang Upan. It's his stash from the last time Yaya give him her cookies," Blaze said casually, pointing toward Taufan.

Taufan immediately looked up. "I definitely giving you my blessing in using those on Bakago!" he give his brothers a wide grin and a thumb up.

The other Elementals, excluding Blaze and Halilintar, immediately began making plans to prevent the two (and one accomplish) of them from killing Bakugo in the future.

They clearly couldn't let those two anywhere near him.

"But, to be honest, I was also thinking about tossing him into the atmosphere this time," Gempa said.

The rest of his brothers nodded in agreement.

"...That's actually not a bad idea."

"Oi! Why are you all agreeing with him?!" Taufan exclaimed.

It was becoming increasingly clear that Bakugo's chances of surviving the day were getting lower by the second.

Back Outside the Watch

After All Might finished sending Izuku to the school infirmary, he returned to the monitor room with Bakugo to give the students a little explanation about the battle they had just witnessed.

"Hmm. I'd say the best player in this match was Young Iida!" he announced, beginning his explanation.

Iida blinked in confusion, clearly wondering why All Might had singled him out. Seeing his confusion, All Might turned toward the rest of the class. "Can anyone tell me why I consider Young Iida the best player in this match?"

BoBoiBoy and Yaoyorozu immediately raised their hands.

BoBoiBoy was called on first.

"It's because Iida was the one who adapted the most to the situation," BoBoiBoy answered. "Having watched the fight, Bakugo's behavior was clearly driven by a personal grudge. And I'm not saying this just because he heavily injured Nii-san. I'm saying it because that's what I saw with my own eyes." As he spoke, BoBoiBoy crossed his arms and turned his gaze toward Bakugo and gave Bakugo a death glare.

Surprisingly, Bakugo remained completely silent after the battle. He didn't even bother arguing back.

"Furthermore, just as you told us earlier, Sensei, using a large-range attack in an indoor arena is just idiotic. The same reasoning applies to Midoriya-san and Uraraka-san. Their game plan got loose halfway through, and Uraraka-san's final attack was far too reckless." Yaoyorozu adding to BoBoiBoy's explanation. "Iida-san demonstrated the greatest awareness of his surroundings and adapted accordingly. He remained focused on his objective rather than allowing himself to become distracted by the opposing team."

"Yup. You told us to treat that papier-mâché thing as an actual nuclear bomb here, so an attack like that would have compromised the entire mission," BoBoiBoy continued.

"And Iida-san devised a counterstrategy against his opponent because he correctly anticipated that the match would revolve around the corner," Yaoyorozu added. "Although he was too slow to react to that last attack, we believe the heroes' so-called victory was being a little too generous in calling this just training. That gets dangerously close to skirting the spirit of the rules." Yaoyorozu finished her explanation with a small nod while BoBoiBoy nodded in agreement.

The rest of the class fell silent for a moment after hearing their explanations.

'Holy moly... Both of them already said everything I wanted to say.' All Might looked as though he wanted to protest, but instead, he gave them both a thumbs-up.

"W-Well, Young Iida might also have been a bit too stiff... But both of your answers were correct!"

Iida adjusted his glasses, looking slightly embarrassed. "Thank you, All Might-sensei!"

A few minutes after is the time for all the students and All Might watched the next battle on the monitors.

It was Team B versus Team I, but calling it a "battle" was being generous.

It was more like a one-sided beatdown.

"Welp, this is gonna end fast," BoBoiBoy muttered.

As soon as the battle began, the entire building was suddenly covered in Todoroki's ice.

Hagakure and Ojiro, who were guarding the fake nuclear bomb, were caught off guard. The ice quickly froze around their feet, leaving them unable to move. And before either of them could do anything about it, Todoroki entered the room and touched the fake nuclear bomb.

Beep!

The alarm immediately sounded.

"Team B wins!"

"They got an instant victory, huh?" Ashido whistled in awe. "It was more like a one-sided beating!"

BoBoiBoy nodded. "Yeah. That was barely even a fight."

All Might turned toward the next teams. "Team E and Team J, please prepare!"

The next teams were called up.

BoBoiBoy and Ashido were the villains for the next match, while Kirishima and Sero were the heroes.

BoBoiBoy knew the basics of their Quirks, especially since Ashido apparently knew Kirishima from junior high. Kirishima had a body-hardening Quirk, while Sero was capable of producing a tape-like substance from his elbows.

Once their five-minute preparation timer started, BoBoiBoy turned toward Ashido. He let his TTM side, along with Gelap's influence, take over as he considered the idea he was about to present to the pink-skinned girl.

"How do you want to do this?"

"What do you mean?" Ashido asked as she examined the room where the fake bomb was located.

"Well, we could go with the route Todoroki took and just wipe them out immediately. But, of course, that's no fun for us or for them." BoBoiBoy paused, a mischievous grin spreading across his face. "Or we could take the fun route and show off a bit. So, what's your choice?"

"Well, wiping them out in a single move would undoubtedly be awesome, but where's the fun in that?" she answered, mirroring his mischievous grin.

BoBoiBoy's grin grew even wider after hearing Ashido's answer, he nodded approvingly. "Good answer, young Padawan."

Ashido snickered.

"Well then, here's what we're going to do." BoBoiBoy quickly explained his idea to her, speaking as fast as he could. They would have to work quickly if they wanted their plan to actually succeed.

Ashido listened carefully, her grin growing wider with every part of the plan. "Oh, this is gonna be fun." she squealed.

BoBoiBoy chuckled.

Soon, the five minutes of preparation time were up, and their traps were set.

BoBoiBoy transformed into his youngest Elemental form: Gelap.

Gelap flew silently near the ceiling, directly above the door the heroes would enter through. Thanks to his powers, he was completely invisible by hiding inside a shadow.

Before transforming, BoBoiBoy had already used Ais's power to lower the temperature around the building. It wasn't cold enough to affecting anything other to see their own breath. He had also used Angin's power to fill the hallway with a thin layer of fog, further impeding their vision.

The moment the doors opened, Kirishima and Sero stepped inside.

"Aw, man, it's cold, and I can hardly see anything!" Kirishima complained, waving his hands through the fog in an attempt to disperse it. The confident attitude he'd walked in with quickly began to fade.

"It's fine. The fog isn't too thick, anyway," Sero reassured him. "Must be Kaedehara using his power to set up a trap for us."

And that was Gelap's cue.

He immediately flew toward Ashido as quickly and quietly as he could grabbing her and dived into the nearest shadow, then the two of them moved the fake bomb to the highest floor of the building with the same method.

From above, Gelap and Ashido watched as Sero looked around, trying to find them.

Nothing.

He eventually shook his head at Kirishima, signaling that his search had come up empty. The two heroes shrugged and continued down the hallway.

Meanwhile, Gelap and Ashido continued their preparations.

The heroes climbed two more levels of the building, encountering various traps designed to make them increasingly uneasy.

Suddenly a slight breeze brushed against the backs of their necks. Then the doors suddenly slammed shut behind them as the lights flickered then, eventually, they shut off completely.

Neither hero could see what was waiting for them in the darkness.

By the time they reached the fourth floor, the second floor from the top, they were already noticeably more cautious.

That was when the final part of BoBoiBoy and Ashido's plan was put into action.

Now that their opponents were sufficiently uneasy, it was time to have a little fun.

"Wait, bro. I think I hear something," Kirishima said, raising a hand.

Sero tilted his head, trying to listen carefully. Not that it was particularly difficult to hear. The entire time they had been inside the building, it had been eerily quiet, with the only sounds being their own footsteps.

But now there was something else as the sound of pounding footsteps echoed through the hallway, rapidly approaching them.

Kirishima and Sero immediately entered fighting stances, bracing themselves for whatever incoming assault might be heading their way. Then Ashido came running straight toward them. It was almost comical how easily Sero managed to wrap his capture tape around her. She practically ran right into it.

It was funny, at least, it was until they noticed that the side of Ashido's face appeared to be covered in blood. Instead of reacting like a normal person who had just been caught and was about to lose the simulation, Ashido looked at the two heroes with a mixture of fear and relief.

"Oh, thank goodness I found you two! We have to go, now!" she said, panting heavily.

"What are you talking about? Is that blood? What's going on?" Kirishima asked, his voice filled with worry for his friend.

It was difficult to see with all the lights turned off, but Sero immediately switched on the flashlight attached to his utility belt. The beam illuminated the red splatters across their classmate's face and the blood running down her arm.

"I don't- We have to- Kiri, it's BoBoiBoy! He-" Ashido started.

Then fog began rolling into the hallway from around the corner she had just run from. A raspy, childish voice could be heard singing somewhere within the fog.

Ashido immediately let out a blood-curdling scream.

"Ding-dong, I know you can hear me.
Open up the door, I only want to play a little~"

Gelap slowly stepped out from around the corner once the fog had gathered thick enough, making sure to stare straight ahead rather than focusing directly on any of the three students.

Ashido had told him that he looked much creepier when he used the shadows to help him move around, something about making him look like an eldritch horror? Honestly, BoBoiBoy wasn't entirely sure what that meant. But apparently Gelap do, because his youngest element like horror supernatural things very much. No wonder his first introduction had been scaring the whole station to death.

But if it scared the heroes, he wasn't complaining.

"Ding-dong, you can't keep me waiting.
It's already too late for you to try and run away~"

He took another slow step toward the group.

During a prank war some time ago, Gelap had accidentally discovered that he could make his mouth appear as though it had been ripped open, with darkness dripping from the edges like liquid void. He could even make it look as though he were crying tears made of shadows. It required a surprising amount of concentration to maintain the illusion.

But judging by the reactions he was getting now, it was definitely worth it.

Ashido was really selling the performance, too. She stumbled backward, deliberately tripping over her own feet before falling to the floor. She then scrambled backward, desperately trying to put as much distance between herself and Gelap as possible.

Kirishima and Sero stared at the strange figure emerging from the fog. Neither of them knew what the hell they were looking at. And judging by Ashido's terrified expression, they weren't sure they wanted to find out.

"I see you through the window.
Our eyes are locked together.
I can sense your horror,
Though I'd like to see it closer~"

One more step forward.

Gelap asked Kak Ais to lend him a bit of his influence for this. Just as intended, he began lowering the temperature in the hallway even further. Frost slowly started forming across the floor in front of him, spreading outward from his feet.

"Ding-dong, here I come to find you.
Hurry up and run, let's play a little game and have fun~"

Another step.

He widened the void that formed his "mouth" and allowed the darkness dripping from his "tears" to flow more heavily.

The shadows parted just enough to reveal a row of sharp, blood-stained teeth hidden behind them.

"Ding-dong, where is it you've gone to?
Do you think you've won?
Our game of hide and seek has just begun~"

Another step.

"I hear your footsteps,
Thumping loudly through the hallways.
I can hear your sharp breaths.
You're not very good at hiding~"

Gelap's distorted voice echoed through the hallway.

The three students froze as the fog continued to swirl around them and the frost continued creeping across the floor. Gelap continued walking toward them.

One final step.

Gelap was now within arm's reach of them. He really hoped this final effort would be enough to scare them. They hadn't moved an inch since he had first turned the corner. He leaned forward, finally looking directly at Kirishima and Sero for the first time since his act had begun.

By then, Sero's flashlight had turned off, leaving the eerie glow of Gelap's amethyst eyes as the only source of light.

Gelap gave them a sharp-toothed smile before leaning closer and whispering,

"Just wait, you can't hide from me. I'm coming~"

That, finally, seemed to break them.

Gelap actually had to give the two some respect. They immediately grabbed Ashido before booking it out of the building, desperately trying to unwrap the capture tape binding her hands as they ran.

Gelap sank through the dark floor, emerging behind the group as they hurried toward the door.

"Knock, knock, I am at your door now.
I am coming in~"

"Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. nopenopenopenopenope-!" Gelap heard Kirishima and Sero chanting as they ran away, carrying Ashido between them.

"No need for me to ask permission.
Knock, knock, I'm inside your room now.
Where is it you've hid?
Our game of hide-and-seek's about to end~"

Gelap immediately popped up in front of them.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!" The two boys screamed in fright.

And so began what could only be described as a pseudo game of hide-and-seek. Or perhaps an escape room? Honestly, even Gelap wasn't entirely sure anymore.

Kirishima and Sero desperately tried to find a way out of the building while carrying Ashido along with them, all while Gelap pursued them through the darkened hallways.

His objective was simple: give them as many heart attacks as possible while making sure they never reached the room where the fake nuclear bomb was hidden.

Every time they thought they had found a safe route, Gelap would suddenly emerge from the shadows, a pair of glowing amethyst eyes would appear in the darkness. A raspy voice would whisper from somewhere behind them. Or Gelap would simply rise from the floor directly in front of them. At this point, the two teens weren't even trying to win anymore. They were just trying to survive.

"AND THAT'S TIME! THE VILLAIN TEAM WON!"

All Might's voice suddenly rang through their earpieces.

For Kirishima and Sero, those words were nothing short of a divine intervention. They had been saved. The two boys practically collapsed in relief, their ordeal finally coming to an end.

Meanwhile, Gelap simply stood there in the hallway, his creepy grin still firmly in place.

That was fun! Perhaps he should suggest doing this again sometime with his brothers? It could be a bonding activity! Gelap nodded pleased with the idea.

Meanwhile, Inside the Watch

"I don't know whether to be scared or proud of our little moon..." Angin commented as he stared at the monitor showing the events happening outside.

"While I don't think it was a mistake to let Gelap take over this exercise, let's not give him any more ideas about planning horror-themed activities for us, shall we?" BoBoiBoy added, his face looking pale as he watched the "battle" alongside the rest of his Elementals.

"Agreed!" the other Elementals said unanimously.

"By the way, where's Kak Alin?" Tanah asked, looking around for the oldest Elemental.

Air quietly pointed toward one corner of the Watch.

The others followed his finger.

There, they could see a familiar yellow lump sprawled motionlessly on the floor.

"He passed out the moment Gelap started singing," Air deadpanned.

Everyone stared at Petir's unconscious form.

Then they looked at one another.

"...Yeah, let's definitely not do this again." they simultaneously agree.

Back Outside the Watch

After letting BoBoiBoy transform back, the two of them rejoined the rest of the class to discuss the simulation.

Ashido tossed him a washcloth that she had gotten Yaoyorozu to make for her. She was already using one herself to wipe the fake blood from her face.

“Thanks, Ashido.”

BoBoiBoy wiped the fake blood from around his mouth before looking up at his classmates.

He immediately noticed that they were all staring at him and Ashido.

“What?” he asked, tilting his head slightly.

“Dude, what the hell was that?” Sero asked, wrapping his arms around himself.

“It was scary enough to watch on the screen!” Uraraka added. “I can't imagine what it was like being right in front of you. I think it even scared All Might a little.”

“Right?!” Ashido exclaimed as she casually draped an arm over BoBoiBoy’s shoulder. “Who knew our orange cinnamon roll could be that scary?! Even I, who went along with the plan, was shocked by how well he pulled it off!” she added.

“Well...” BoBoiBoy let out a chuckle. “It’s just a trick I learned during a prank war my family had a while back. I'm glad it worked so well!” He scratched his cheek despite it not being itchy.

“Worked well?” Sero repeated incredulously. “Dude, you looked like something straight out of a horror movie!”

“Really?” BoBoiBoy asked innocently.

“Yes!” several classmates answered at once.

BoBoiBoy blinked.

“...Huh.”

~Time Skip brought to you by Lunar binge watching Evil Death with the Powerspheres~

After the exercise was over, All Might gave the students a quick briefing about the day's battles. "Apart from Young Midoriya, there were no major injuries. Nevertheless, no holds were barred! For your first full training exercise, you all did a wonderful job!" All Might ended the period in a hurry before rushing off. Perhaps his time limit for maintaining his muscular form was almost up.

Once he had changed out of his training clothes, BoBoiBoy made his way to the school infirmary to check on Izuku.

However, just as he was about to enter, he heard voices coming from inside that made him stopped. It was All Might and Recovery Girl.

Curious, he stayed outside the door and listened.

From the sound of it, Recovery Girl was scolding All Might. Apparently, this was already the third time Izuku had ended up in the infirmary since the entrance exam. BoBoiBoy winced. Yep. Daun is definitely going to have a field day with him when they got home.

But then the conversation shifted as they began talking about One For All. BoBoiBoy's expression immediately became serious. He listened carefully as All Might and Recovery Girl discussed the secret behind Izuku's Quirk. Apparently, only a handful of people knew about One For All. Recovery Girl herself, Principal Nedzu, and, of course... Him. So there were more people who knew about Izuku's secret than he had initially realized.

After the conversation finally came to an end, BoBoiBoy waited a moment before entering, he didn't bother knocking. He quietly walked inside and sat down beside Izuku's bed, watching his cousin's unconscious form.

BoBoiBoy remained silent. So that was why All Might had been so concerned, and judging by Recovery Girl's tone, Izuku's reckless use of One For All was becoming a serious problem.

BoBoiBoy frowned. 'Looks like Nii-san's going to have quite a lecture waiting for him once he wakes up.' he decided.

For now, he decided not to bring up what he'd overheard. He would wait until Izuku woke up.

Izuku woke up in the school infirmary with BoBoiBoy sitting beside his bed.

His cousin was already waiting for him to wake up.

"You're finally awake," BoBoiBoy said. "School's almost over, so I'm going to get your uniform for you to change into. I'll head to class first, okay?"

Izuku nodded sleepily.

After BoBoiBoy left, Izuku finished changing back into his school uniform. Once he was done, he made his way back to Class 1-A. However, the moment he stepped into the classroom, he was unexpectedly surrounded by his classmates.

"Oh, Midoriya! Nice job back there!" Kirishima was the first to notice him entering, and the others quickly gathered around him as well.

"Geez, you guys, give him some space! His arm still hurts, you know," BoBoiBoy said, stepping in and breaking up the crowd.

"Thanks, lil' bro," Izuku whispered to him.

"No prob." BoBoiBoy gave him a thumbs-up.

"Deku-kun, is your arm alright?" Uraraka asked, her face filled with concern.

"I'm alright. Thanks to Recovery Girl, she healed me, but I still have to use this IV because she hasn't healed me completely yet." Izuku gestured toward the IV attached to his arm.

His gaze then wandered around the classroom as something immediately caught his attention.

Kacchan's seat was empty.

Before Izuku could even ask about it, BoBoiBoy already seemed to know what he was thinking.

"Bakugo's already went home," he told him.

"Oh..." Izuku glanced toward the empty seat for a moment.

He couldn't help but wonder what Kacchan was thinking after everything that had happened during the exercise.

Notes:

Yes I'm sorry the chapter order is out of wack, yes I've been trying to fix it. In other news Lunar (or Gelap) is the only one in their family who love horror theme things as you can see, said element usually is not much different that Thorn, just more shy but give him something horror theme and he'll became a troll, truly Halilintar natural enemy as he couldn't stand anything with horror in it.

Yes I deliberately made Izuku not chasing after Bakugo, why? Because Boboiboy influence that's why.

Anywho, I hope you enjoy this chapter!

Ciao~
