Chapter Text
Coy woke up from hearing his door opening and closing. However, he was much too tired to investigate the sound. He just turned over to his side and tried falling back asleep.
Suddenly, someone’s hands gently brushed the hair from his face. His initial thought was to break away from the touch and see who was doing this, but he just couldn’t bring himself to care.
The hands moved from his hair to his face, softly caressing his cheekbones. For a moment Coy felt like he could stay there forever, like it was where he was meant to be.
Through half lidded eyes he saw Anthony hovering over him, quickly taking his hand back after seeing that Coy was awake.
Anthony clears his throat, “Okay! Let’s get going, we’ve got a flight to catch!” He awkwardly stood up from where he was sitting on Coy’s bed.
“Oh. Right.” Coy says, pushing himself up from his bed. The blanket that was covering his bare chest slid down, the sudden cold sent a tingle down his spine.
He glanced over at Anthony, who was staring at him intensely, the ceiling suddenly became very interesting to Anthony. Coy shook that interaction off.
“Could you hand me my clothes please?” He asked Anthony.
“Oh, yeah, sure.” Anthony picked up the pile of clothes Coy had laid out the night before and tossed them to him.
Coy awkwardly pulled the shirt on.
“And maybe turn around?” He said.
“O-oh, yeah.” Anthony stammered, turning to face the wall. Coy let out a small laugh.
“What’s so funny?” Anthony asked.
“Oh, nothing. You just look like you’re in time-out.” He replied. Anthony gave a little chuckle.
Coy pulled on his pants and fixed his hair a bit. “Alright, you can turn around.”

“What’s our gate again?” Coy asked.
“B32” Anthony replied, “C’mon, the plane’s boarding soon. You gotta put a little pride in your stride.”
“Was that a gay joke?” Coy said suspiciously. Anthony didn’t say anything, he just smiled. Coy rolled his eyes.

“Can I sit in the window seat?” Coy said excitedly.
“I think it would be better if I sat in the window seat.” Anthony replied, “Because I have my laptop and if you had to use the bathroom it would be harder if I was in the aisle.”
“It’s my birthday! Can I please sit in the window seat?” Coy pouted and tried to do puppy dog eyes.
“Fine.” Anthony gave in under absolutely no pressure.
The puppy dog eyes must have worked. Coy thought.

After about 1½ movies, Coy was bored.
“Anthonyyy,” He said singsongingly, “Whatcha’ doing?”
“Editing.” Anthony replied, not looking away from his laptop.
“I’m so bored!” Coy said, sinking down into his seat.
“There’s only like an hour left, Coy.” Anthony said.
“Ugh.” Coy groaned. Without thinking, he rested his head onto Anthony’s shoulder. Why did I just do that?! He thought.
Coy turned his head to look at Anthony’s laptop, he was editing the clip of them hugging from yesterday. Coy’s face burned a bright red, hoping Anthony wouldn’t notice how smitten he looked in the video.
Why did Coy even care about that, it’s not like he has a crush on Anthony or any…
Oh my god.
Suddenly Coy was much more aware of how close he was to Anthony. He decided to resume his movie instead of laying on Anthony. How much time is left of the flight? He thought.
Anthony tapped Coy’s shoulder.
“Do you want any drinks?” Anthony asked. Coy realized that there was a flight attendant standing in the aisle. He also realized that his mouth felt very dry.
“Uh, yeah. Just water, please.” He said. The flight attendant poured a cup of water with ice and handed it to him. He thanked her then went back to his movie, 10 Things I Hate About You. It was his favorite movie, but it didn’t seem fitting for this moment. He went to the home page and scrolled through the list of movies.

The Emoji Movie, sure.
He pressed play. Anthony glanced over at his screen.
“Why are you watching The Emoji Movie?” He laughed.
“Because I can,” Coy said, not daring to take his eyes off the monitor, “And, this movie is a masterpiece.”
“I mean, whatever you say.” Anthony replied, holding his smile as he turned back to his laptop.

Anthony hadn’t told Coy which hotel they were staying at, so when they pulled up to this beautiful resort with a huge lake next to it, Coy was freaking dazzled.
“Oh my god, Ant! This must’ve cost like $10,000!” Coy said, staring up at the enormous building in front of him.
“Nah, this was actually one of the cheaper ones.” Anthony said. “It’s called Coronado Springs.”
“I wanna see the expensive ones!” Coy joked.
“We actually have a dinner reservation in one of them tomorrow.” Anthony said casually.
“Woah!” A bus could hit Coy right now and he’d die happy. Actually, he wishes a bus would hit him right now. He’s stuck in a hotel room with his crush for 6 nights!
Suddenly, Anthony yanked him onto the sidewalk.
“Jesus christ! You almost got hit by a freaking bus Coy!” Anthony said, checking if he was hurt.
“I’m fine!” Coy said, “Thanks for saving me. You’re like my knight in shining armor!”
Anthony laughed a little, but he didn’t seem very amused. “Just be careful next time. Ok?”
Coy felt his face flush. Anthony was cute when he was worried.
Jesus Christ, I’m not surviving this trip.

Their room had two queen beds, a TV, a bathroom, and a closet.
After they had unpacked and settled in a bit, Coy was absolutely exhausted. He grabbed his pajamas and went to the bathroom to change.
“You don’t have to change in the bathroom, if you don’t want to.” Anthony said from his bed.
Coy decided not to reply, he just pulled off his shirt and put on his pajama pants.
He collapsed into his bed and drifted off to sleep, trying not to think about Anthony sleeping in the bed next to him.
