Chapter Text
When they got home, Four slumped on the couch, trying to work their phone to listen to their Billy Talent Mix. Two saw his struggle and went over to grab his phone and help.
“Here you go mate!” Two whispers while getting his music app open and putting on the playlist. Four took back the phone and smiled at Two.
“Thank you Two..” Four giggled while blushing. Two smiled at him back and walked away. Around thirty minutes later, Four tried to stand up to get some fruit, but lost balance and took a tumble to the ground. Four groaned as he held his calf in agony. X immediately rushed over and helped him up.
“ARE YOU OK!?!?! WHAT HURTS?!?! DO YO-” X yelled, obviously panicked. Four rested his hand on X’s shoulders and looked him in the eyes.
“X, I'm fine. Don’t worry about me. I might just need ice for my-uhhh..ankle…? Calf..? I don't know.” Four rambled. X quickly ran to the freezer and grabbed a bag of frozen peas. X came back with the bag in hand, laid Four down in his bed, and put the bag of peas on his ankle. Four fell asleep a few minutes later, the coldness of the peas not interrupting Four’s sleep. X left four’s room and sat on the couch. As he sat there, he started to tear up. X started to sob quietly into his hands, hoping to not get noticed by Two.
Two got hungry and were craving some chips. They went downstairs and got the chips. They were feasting on the chips until they heard the faint sound of crying. They quickly followed the sound of the cry and got to the living room. When they saw the sight, they quickly sat next to X and hugged him. X began to full out sob from Two’s hug. Two grabbed X and put him onto their lap, continuing to keep the hug with X. X cried into Two’s shoulder. 5 minutes passed and X started to calm down. Two pulled X away from their shoulder and let him sit next to them on the couch.
“What happened X?” Two asked with a straight face, hoping for X to open up.
“FOUR HATES ME I THINK AND HE DIDN'T CARE OR NOTICE THAT I WAS WORRIED ABOUT HIM AND JUST TOOK THE PEAS I GAVE HIM AND DIDN’T EVEN SAY ANYTHING HE JUST PUT THEM ON AND WENT TO SLEEP WITHOUT A WORD.” X screamed. Two slightly frowned and hugged X.
“It’s not your fault. It’s the vasol vaga syndrome thing. If it was you, he would say wouldn’t he?” Two rambled.
X stood in thought for a moment, connecting the parts in his head. X knew Four as someone who speaks their mind, never keeping it inside their head. X’s throat tightened. They knew it wasn’t Four. Maybe it wasn’t Four that they picked up at the hospital, it had to be. X spiraled in thoughts, his throat becoming tighter and tighter. As X became stuck in the spiral, his hand uncontrollably started to scratch his own wrist, not even being aware that they were doing this. Two noticed and their hands quickly sprang at X’s hands, ripping the hand scratching from the wrist. X jumps at the touch of Two. X looks up at Two, eyes tearing. Two pulls him into another hug. X fell asleep in Two’s arms. Two smiled slightly, but they knew they had to check on X. They gently grabbed X’s arm and saw lots of scratch marks, the recent ones bleeding, and the others either scabbing or fading. Two gently picks up X and throws him over their shoulder. Two dropped X calmly into his bed. They walked into the bathroom to grab Paw Patrol BandAids (the only ones they had) and put them onto X’s arm. After that, Two tucked X in, and closed the door. Two grew tired. As soon as Two was gonna crash on the couch, they heard something from behind them.
“Two? What happened…?”
