Chapter Text
They turned toward him, eyes wide.
Ron stared at the animal in front of him,
The face he recognized.
Almost.
It was her face but,
They had eyebags, their fur was unbrushed,
they didn't care about their appearance nearly as much as she did.
“How do you know her.”
That wasn't her voice.
That wasn't her.
He looked at the rat.
He spoke again.
“How do you know my sister…?”
“Your sister??”
Ron stared at his face seeing if he would laugh or something and say he was joking.
This was all a joke right? Rattina wasn't really gone, she didn't have a twin right?
His face didn't change
He didn't laugh
This wasn't a joke.
“Tell me.”
He clearly wanted to know,
This whole situation made Ron feel like something had happened to her.
“I-i worked with her! We were friends!”
He answered finally, his voice shook a bit,
The rat seemed threatening despite being such a small animal.
He glared at Ron.
The rat turned back around and ignored the blue rabbit.
He didn't need to be reminded of her friends, or coworkers, or whatever.
“Wait where did she go? Do you know what happened???”
Ron asked, if they were allowed to ask questions then he should be too, right?
He ignored Ron,
Waiting for the animals in the pharmacy to give him his prescription.
“ I told you who I am, who are you?? Where is she?? “
“ I'm her twin. I don't know where she is. “
“ How do you not know?? ”
“ How would I know??? ”
“ You're her family?? You should know! ”
Neither of them would give up, they were both annoyed at one another.
Ratthew scoffed,
“ Well it's not my job to keep track of everything?? “
“ Well, look where that got you. “
Ron mumbled.
“ It's not my fault she's gone! “
“Your prescription is ready”
The person working the counter interrupted their arguing.
He took his medication and thanked the worker.
He looked back at the blue rabbit and walked past him.
He didn't need to get involved in whatever relationships rattina was involved in.
It didn't matter she was gone he could deal with it.
It was really cold outside.
It was winter, of course it was cold.
He walked through the street,
Staring down at the ground.
He should’ve found somewhere to stay but he knew it was easy to get tracked if he tried,
He wondered if Rattina's disappearance had anything to do with animal corporation.
They had always been sketchy. It wouldn't be too much of a stretch.
He looked up ,the sky was a dark blue, the sun’s light was almost gone.
It was getting dark.
He eventually found an ally,
There were apartments with balconies above it, a few lights were on but besides that it was dark.
He set up whatever he could find that was soft as a bed,
Some fabric and ripped stuffed animals,
It was still cold.
It was so cold.
