Facts:
My name is Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon, and I’ve lived for 25 years. I am the elemental master of life and the green ninja. After defeating thunderfang I was in the Whispering woods with my student Arin and Euprasia, the elemental master of wind. The whispering woods are dying because I never knew that I was supposed to guard them. I was told to do the ritual of unrooting, which I did even though I knew it might kill me. I failed defeating my worst enemy - which was myself - and died.
WTF happened?
I woke up this morning in the body of child me. I remember who I am and how old I’m supposed to be. I’m at Darkley’s, which doesn’t exist anymore in my time. It’s September 21st, one day before my ninth birthday. I must have somehow traveled back in time.
Possible reasons:
Destiny hates me
My life hates me
This is my eternal punishment for failing
I never fulfilled my destiny -> fix things?
This is either still part of the trial or timetravel. Can’t be a dream, couldn’t dream food this bad, and everything’s coherent so far. Not a trial or timetravel. Another cycle
Part of the trial: Have to reconnect with people? Strenghten my connections and understand them better? -> possible “timeskip” once I connect to everyone I can connect to at this time? -> Hopefully so
Goals:
Find out wtf happened
don’t make the same mistakes
don’t die
maybe go to therapy?
Make sure Pixal will exist
find out how to succeed/get back home/ undie if I’m actually dead and this is my eternal punishment
Save dad and make sure he doesn’t die and get resurrected as an oni!!!
Make sure Ronya’s mom and brother survive longer -> Save Harumi’s parents to prevent stuff?
Close down Darkley’s

What I can do
Use my element? Barely -> have to train. Seems to get stronger with more connections? Easier after meeting Ronya -> true?
Spinjitzu? too uncoordinated. Have to train. Getting better, no full tornado yet, but a lot more coordinated
Rising dragon? Forget it
Fighting in general? Works well enough for lunch
My instincts and knowledge are still there. Just not the coordination and physical strength

I really don’t think the prank happened like this the first time
I got expelled one week early, but instead of living on the streets I guess I’m living in Ronya’s tree house now
I talked to Mystake and met Harumi in a park, and now I’ll free the serpentine early
World ending events to remember
The serpentine (my fault)
Great devourer (Pythor’s fault, and therefore my fault) -> Whatever happens, make sure Harumis parents survive
Overlord/Dad possessed by the overlord (overlord’s fault?) -> not avoidable if I want to save dad? Or at all?
Overlord again (technically Cyrus Borg’s fault?) -> Borg tower needs a different location
Chen (Chen’s fault) -> No idea why exactly it happened -> might not be avoidable because Chen is a drama queen
Morro (Wu’s fault, technically) -> Don’t open the cursed world? Don’t get possessed for sure
Time twins (their own fault?) -> Acronix return inevitable. Find Krux at the museum beforehand and stop his plans? DON’T LET WU FIGHT ALONE
SoG -> Save Harumi’s parents, won’t happen then?
Oni invasion -> ???
Wojira (Kalmaar’s fault) -> inevitable? Stop Kalmaar before he can wake Wojira -> Don’t let Nya turn into the sea
Overlord again again -> stop him really good the first time?
The Merge -> should I even stop that?

Possible solution:
-> Free serpentine except Pythor?
Most serpentine are just people -> it’s unfair that they’re banished to those tombs for something that was only partly their fault
Free the hypnokobrai -> Slithraa might be reasonable. Skales might be a problem, but he’s also reasonable -> not free them to be henchmen but just so they’re free?
Plans after Darkley’s

Wu? -> complicated, probably no
Ronya? -> would she believe me? Probably, after a bit
Con: still a child, so no extraordinary wisdom, don’t want to accidentally force her to grow up faster
Well, I’m with Ronya now.

Stay with Ronya until I have a proper plan
Use the time for training and planning whenever she’s not here
Rough plan: Free the hypnokobrai and then go to the monastery.
Not as rough plan: Go to Ninjago City (on my way), talk to Mystaké, free the hypnokobrai, go to the monastery. Eventually tell Wu how bad the conditions in Darkley’s are.
Talked to Mystaké. She gave me a map, now I’ll free the serpentine and then go to the monastery.
Theory: Trial is about forming connections
Element gets stronger with connections. It was easier to call it after officially becoming friends with Brad, and it’s even easier today after meeting Ronya.
Life is connections, so what if, to get home and pass the trial, I have to reconnect with everyone?
-> Problem: Some connections aren’t possible yet
Maybe “timeskip” at one point?
Proven false. What actually happened: Got somehow thrown into another cycle. No idea how, probably the source dragons.
People I probably should connect with:
The ninja (Kai, Jay, Cole, Zane, Nya) -> should be easy enough once I get kicked out
The kids (Arin, Sora, Wyldfyre, Frak, Riyu) -> currently impossible
Wu -> also rather easy
Ronya (done?) -> done!
Brad (done?)
Dad -> might get complicated. How do I get him out of the Realm of Madness?
Mom -> either away because explorers club or at the museum, complicated but very possible
Dareth? -> I know where to find him
Skylor (?) -> might be hard for now, but should be possible eventually
