Chapter Text
Craig’s POV:
It has been a while since I confessed and became the one and only Tweek Tweaks boyfriend! It’s winter break and I decided to invite Tweek to meet my family and spend Christmas Eve with my family.
Both me and Tweek are at Tweeks house laying on his couch cuddled up I was thankful his parents worked most days because it let me be able to do stuff like this with Tweek more.
Tweek seemed unsure when I asked “Are you sure this is a good idea?”
“Why wouldn't you get to meet my family.”
“Because they don’t know we are ack dating hell no one knows!” Tweek stuttered out his worry out
I reassuringly run my fingers along Tweeks back “Don’t worry honey it’s not like it’s the first time I’ve invited a friend to Christmas Eve.” Craig felt wired even half way speaking of Tweek as just another one of his friends but to his family that’s what he would be “I guess that gives me some comfort.” I can tell something is troubling Tweek his eyebrows are slightly knitted together I grabbed his chin “What’s on your mind babe?”
Tweek let out a small sigh before admitting what he was thinking “When will you be ready to come out it’s not that I’m trying to rush you but I’d like to one day go on real dates and not just cuddle on my couch..” I felt my stomach turn to knots it was a valid question I was honestly scared to come out I mean knew my parents would be accepting they loved my sister and her girlfriend together but I wasn’t sure about my friends or the general public my sister had been the target of some bullying when she first came out and some of her friends even stopped talking to her.
And there’s the other thing I didn’t know how my friends would feel about it guys almost never talk about feelings like questioning your sexuality. I've heard them say homophobic jokes in the past when we were younger but so did every kid so did they mean those jokes?
“Soon honey.” I said in a soft tone
Tweek averted his gaze his eyelids were droopy but he nodded I don’t know if he fully believed me and he had a reason not to I had said soon for around a month now
I wish I was braver.
…
I was excitedly waiting for Tweek to arrive at my house for Christmas Eve. I was trying so hard not to give away my happiness. Thank goddess I was born with the Tucker poker face. However, I couldn’t help but hover over my mom while she was cooking. I even offered to help. I just want this day to be perfect!
As I’m setting the silverware up with my sister when I heard the doorbell ring “I’ll get that!” I yelled out rushing to the door and for a moment I felt like a dog whose owner just got home and it made me cringe slightly inside.
I opened the door to see Tweek wearing a cute green and brown patterned sweater with black sorta baggy jeans. I also noted that he held a messenger bag. He looked stunning as alway I smiled and he smiled back. I needed to look away before I started blushing “Tweek is here!” I yelled out to the rest of my family. I turned back to see Tweek twitching so I gave my best reassuring smile and grabbed his hand to lead him to the table making sure to rub at it slightly with my thumb. I want Tweek to feel comfortable.
Once we reached the table and I took my regular seat and Tweek sat right next to me Trica and my dad joined us shortly after my mom was the last one to join as she brought in the last meal for our family dinner.
“Hello you must be Tweek. It's always lovely to meet one of Craig’s friends!” My mom said while sitting down “I-It’s nice to m-met you to ma’am” Tweek stuttered out I knew he would be nervous and I want to be here with him so I reached my hand out and grabbed his and started to rub small circles on his backhand I saw out of the corner of my eye the blond smile and I felt my heart swell with pride.
The rest of the dinner went off without a hitch. Tweek got along with everyone in my family. He and my mom even bonded over baking. It made my heart swell seeing them so happily chat along. Soon enough everyone was nice and full. “Me and Tweek are going to go upstairs.” I announced it to the rest of my family after we got done cleaning up.
Once we reached my room Tweek sat the messenger bag onto my bed “I got you a present!” Tweek happily chirped out “I did to!” I responded back “you go first!” Tweek said smile still shining so brightly I walked over to my closet and pulled out the carefully wrapped present and handed it over to Tweek.
The blond unwrapped it “oh my gosh Craig you didn’t need to get me all this!!” Tweek gasped out seeing the fancy pens and pencils he had talked about a few weeks ago in passing “nonsense! You deserve the best!” I boosted Tweek with his gift aside and reached into his bag pulling out a more messily wrapped blue gift. I opened it hastily excited to see what was inside.
“No way…” I whispered seeing a box labeled galaxy projector’ I started to open the box immediately. Now I know you have your old one but I saw this online and I just knew you’d love it!” Tweek said sheepishly I rushed to set it up in the middle of my room and plug it into my extension cord. Tweek must have noticed me going to set it up because the lights cut off as soon as I turned it on.
My whole room lit up with stars and swirls of purple and blue Tweek let out a small ‘whoa’ as he sat himself next to me “Oh my gosh it shows all the constitutions!” I perked up “Yeah the listing said it showed all of them and even the planets!” Tweek excitedly told me about my present. I couldn’t help myself but rant about the constellation the projector showed going into detail about the background I must have talked for at least thirty minutes before I caught myself
I looked over worried to see Tweeks expression but I didn’t see that of boredom or tiredness. He didn't even chuckle; he looked like he was hanging on to my every word. He looked almost dazzled.
It all brought back a memory of when I was younger.
(Flashback)
I was crying at my moms leg after a particularly hard day at school it was the day I had brought my projector to school and kids started laughing at me.
As I sobbed into my moms leg I felt her hand rest on my head “What happened baby?” My mother asked tone softly “No one likes space as much why?! They all laugh and no one wants to listen.” I remember crying out tugging onto my moms dress when I released my grip. I turned away to tell my mom to tell her more. “They said no one would date or love a ‘space freak’ like me.” I said sniffing
I felt the warmth of my moms hands on my cheeks. She used her thumbs to wipe away some of my tears. As I looked up I saw my mom also slightly teary eyed. “One day you’ll find someone who will listen to love…you’ll find your person.” I remember my mom saying with the softest motherly tone.
I remember thinking that she was wrong and the mean kids were right. It's why I stayed away from girls or dating and when I did date I was never fully there. I always had at least one wall up.
(End of flashback)
As I returned to this moment I realized Tweek had taken down all my walls without even trying. And here he was looking at me with dazzled emerald eyes that looked even more edgier to hear me rant about space.
Tweek didn’t think of me as just some ‘space freak’ he didn’t even think my ranting was boring and in fact Tweek had gotten me a gift based off my love of space.
Then I realized something deeper.
Tweek is my person.
“I love you.” I admitted out loud
Tweek didn’t seem scared though or even shocked at my confession in fact his gaze softened and his face had a sweet smile
“I love you too.” Tweek admitted back
We shared a chased kiss and just like the first time I felt sparks.
I knew what I needed to do now.
As soon as the kiss ended I sat up Tweek looked up confused
“I’m going to tell them.” I stated out Tweeks eyes widened as I grabbed his hand and headed out my door
As I walked down the stairs feeling the warmth in my hand, my soft heating heart and the buzz in my head it all felt so pleasant and reassured my choice
Once we reached the living room I saw my family on the couch all look towards me and Tweek our hands still clasped together
No hesitation
Because I now knew
Tweek is my person
“Me and Tweek are together.” I announced
As I thought My family was very supportive even my mom and sister admitted they had suspected as much due to my hovering over the cooking.
Afterwards I texted my group chat with my friends the same thing even including a photo of me and Tweek holding hands.
They were all accepting and they all said they had even bet on us getting together. How annoying.
But none of their jokes mattered to me anymore
Because I found my person.
