Timeline: 8th May
"Hmm..." a man stared at the paper in his hand, it seems to be a script for the show. The man's name is Kamui Gakupo, who is also the director of the troupe. They did all kinds of shows, their popularity was high but it wasn't sky high.
"Hey, Gakupo!" a young boy with bright red hair got out from his car. It was the youngest member—— Fukase. He seems oddly energetic today. Usually, he'd show up tired because of how much he texted his girlfriend, which is Gakupo's sister, Flower. Gakupo was surprised at this change. After he was told that she had another conflict with their mother, he frowned.
"Earth to Gakupo?" Fukase waved his hand in front of Gakupo's face. Gakupo blinked and laughed awkwardly. "Sorry, I was thinking about something..." Fukase shrugged and smiled, "Nah, it's okay!"
The two of them sat at the backstage, discussing what they can add to the story to attract more audience. "Hey guys!" a girl with long pink hair and green eyes ran up the stage. "Oh, hi, Momone!" Fukase waved. Momo nodded and headed sat beside him. The girl is Momone Momo, the fan favorite of their troupe. Her cheerful and playful personality makes her characters spark on the stage. When she was in kindergarten, she was chosen as a representative to perform at the seniors' graduation ceremony. Since childhood, her dream was to make everyone smile, so that's what she did. Compared to the other members of wwom, she's the second most experienced member. "Why?" you may ask, you'll know later.
"So, this is our script for the next show?" she asked. Gakupo nodded, "yes, I've actually been staying up late to write this script."
"Hey, you need to rest too!" Fukase chuckled. Gakupo laughed, then continued to write the script. He was obsessed with writing his own stories since childhood, you could say that his passion for story writing is strong. When he was a child, he would always tell stories to his sisters before bed. In the blink of an eye, every story in the story books have been told and his parents refused to buy new books. Because of that, he had to start writing his own stories. Once he started writing, he could not stop. It felt like the entire world's fate was in his hands, in the good way, of course. He could do anything, make unicorns, dragons, even world peace! When he grew older, the love for writing never stopped. That's why he created this troupe, to bring joy and entertainment for everyone!
Unexpectedly, Fukase is actually the most experienced member of wwom! When he was a child, he loved acting and would always act with his siblings whenever they didn't have any homework. He even acted in multiple school plays, usually as the main character. When he first volunteered, no one thought he'd be good enough so he was the background character every time, until one day the actor for the main character couldn't attend the play and he had to fill in for him. That was the first time he played as the main character, it was a huge success. Because of this, he's always casted as the main character. Eventually, he had to participate in a competition, representing Japan. Of course, his team won the competition. He was really proud of this achievement, though it's been 5 years, that trophy and certificate is still in his room.
Gakupo, who was writing a story suddenly asked, "hey, where's Miki?" The others finally noticed that the chill pink haired girl is not here yet. Momo raised her hand while she held her phone with her other hand, telling them that she's texting Miki. "Ah, she said that she'll be late because her brother is sick" Momo said.
The others nodded. They waited for a few minutes, finally, Miki arrived. "Sorry, guys!" she bowed. "It's fine, don't worry about it!" Gakupo said. They all decided to practice for the show, so that's what they did. On one of the parts, Miki was supposed to spin around, but she couldn't balance and fell into a big trash can near the stage. Seriously, who put that there?
"Pfft-" Fukase giggled, seeing the scene. Miki got out of the trash can quickly, "man, this is a disaster!" she laughed. She swept away some trash from her outfit, "well, guess I'll go change now!" she said as she walked towards her bag and took out some new clothes.
While waiting for Miki, the others played truth or dare. "Fukase, truth or dare?" Gakupo asked. Fukase thought for a while, then he chose truth. "What would you do if someone was making rumors about our members?" Fukase immediately answered, "as the leader, I'd figure out where the rumor started, then I'll try to prevent the rumor from spreading. After I get proof, I'll clarify the rumors." They all nodded. "Momo, if you never joined our troupe, what would your dream job be?" She thought for a while, "maybe a singer? I'm not sure.." she smiled. "Gakupo, who or what is the most important person or thing in your life?" Gakupo answered without any hesitation, "my sisters, of course." He said proudly.
After a while, Miki came back. "Hey! I'm back!" She skipped towards them. Seeing them in a circle, she looked at them confused. Momo explained that they were playing truth or dare, obviously, Miki wanted to join. "So, Miki! If your brother got a partner, what would you do?" "Support him, of course! Oh, and also make sure they don't hurt him!"
The truth or dare session just went on for hours. The sun was already setting, the sky is dyed in a yellowish orange color. They went to a diner to enjoy their mean after not practicing for hours and playing truth or dare instead because they can't keep track of time. Fukase ordered curry rice, Momo ordered some peach dessert, Gakupo ordered deep-fried eggplants, and Miki ordered udon noodles.
"I'm soooo full!" Miki dramatically patted her belly, like in those cartoons. Fukase side-eyed her, with udons in his bowl. "You barely ate any... I have to eat the rest for you.." Miki's face grew redder and redder, "hey, that's not true!" He didn't react and kept eating. The diner is full of other customers' voice and Miki's attemps of making excuses.
After they all finished their meal, they drove to their respective home, except Momo because she's not old enough to drive yet, so Miki is driving her home.
Fukase arrived at his house, he took out his keys and unlocked the door. His parents are working late tonight and his siblings have tuition, so the entire house is just him. He head to his room upstairs, excited to see that person. When he opened the door, it was just his stuff. His phone buzzed, so he took out his phone.
I've gone home.
She texted.
He looked at today's date: 8th May. He thought that she had returned home because it's her birthday tomorrow, and she could try to fix things up between her and her mom.
He took a quick shower and changed into his pajamas. He collapsed onto the bed tiredly and fell into a deep sleep.
